Whether you respect him or not but this was a legendary lap. No doubt he is in the best car but still he has a damn strong neck to handle those intense Gs & great concentration to execute every single turn that perfectly. Hats off...
Sadly can't argue with that.
The irony of every sport is the very best always make something that's hard look incredibly easy.
I agree with you
Kartikey Awasthi How these guys are even see those corners to take them at those speeds is beyond me
I agree but handling those G's is what every driver can handle and also the concentration is a part which the top 5 drivers are capable of doing as well
0:37 holy moly that turn
he literally drifted it.
coasting in 8th until needing the power band again, sounds about right. works every time in the games too.
I always went outside that turn in the game.
I WAS SHOCK HE CARRYING THAT MUCH SPEEED
Had to replay this to know if I was seeing it right 🤣
Give us G-Force meter! Please
yes we need one
carlos carrasco what is this shit
Toto Wolff fake
Lol he hit all the G's in turn one 😂😂😂
The g force is displayed on the steering wheel.
What a car and what a driver! The speed he carries into the corners is surreal, could spend the whole day watching this.
Whole.*
I could hardly believe it either
The 2018 car is even quicker. But Mercedes need to get on top of the issues they have been having this season.
@@millsshumps19682023 F1 Car is way slower than 2017.
this lap is definitely on par with what Max did today. Legendary!
5 seconds penalty, speeding on the track.
lmao
You made a joke before it was cool! 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂Funny af
Mohata lmfao are you really that serious 😂
@@mohata605 yes for u
1:01 is the most insane turn I have ever seen, pure goosebumps
Yes. He must've had some kind of massive skill.
Insane
Anyone who says F1 drivers arent athletes should watch this video. Man, you can feel the G-forces through the screen, 1st corner was insane, and 130r with 310km/h, its just mind blowing.
I think people say NASCAR drivers aren't athlete's because they're fat but F1, they're all in great shape.
They´re not. Coping with G-forces and an uncomfortable environment is not exactly athletic.
Better than a fighter pilot.Intense g in flat surface.
Dyr_gl PSN Watch an F1 driver’s training regime then come back to this video
130r was something else until 2002. it was a corner. now imagine the same speed from here but through that corner in 2002. that was something and Schumy was the best at it... Now its just a bent straight
First sector was out of this WORLD! 😉
The cornering speed in the S-curves is simply out of this world. And you can think of Hamilton as negative as you want, but when it comes down to qualifying Lewis sometimes seems unbeatable. His ability to perform a perfect lap is fantastic. And no, I'm not a Hamilton fan but you can't deny that he is a great racing driver.
ALEXANDER HOLLEFELDVASQUEZ Yeah he is by far the best driver over a single lap
Better than alonso for me
Don Lijez No
Why do people hate him?
He drove well, but you can only go as fast as your car allows you
310Kmph at turn 130R!! that looked scary!
Also the momentum through S curves was just mind blowing! I was able to almost feel those forces just by watching in a 2D video...
130R has become a pussy corner.
2016 is faster if I'm not mistaken
Yes the thing is with more drag these cars are slower on straights and before 130R there is a long straight so this corner is actually slower than it was before. Because it was easy flat also in 2016 and they had bigger entry speed.
Which means almost 5.9g!
In 2014 R. Schumacher 316KM/H.
almost a whole second faster than 2024's pole time. these cars seem to be just gliding across the track versus the 2022 era cars being heavy and stiff
How can a lap so perfect have so many dislikes
People hate this kid for nothing
He's black
Carlin You're racist
Vettel fans probably :D
They sure do hate him for nothing. Jealous because they can't live that lifestyle
They think hes too entitled and good, and he is "different"
This camera angle is so cool, its so immersive. You can really feel the speed, especially in sector 1
0:37 That is a fast turn! 😃
Such a beautiful lap
He looks so calm behind the wheel. Makes it look like a drive to the shops. When he retires he will be remembered as one of the all time great drivers.
Relep
I am a Sebastian fan but Hamilton that was a legendary drive, hats offf
Aravind better fan?
Cpt Daryl i think he mean vettel fan
Aravind ikr
I hope the HAM-VET fight continues for a few years yet 👍🏻
Aravind Respect dude. Need more people like you.
I wish him the best. I think it’s unfair for anyone to judge a public figure’s true character without knowing that individual on a personal basis. Just my opinion since I noticed lots of negative comments on him. These guys are all pros and I respect that. I drove recently on the Belgian F1 track, crazy how fast these guys can drive on it in F1. Much respect.
I am not a Hamilton fan but if you still hate him after this qualifying session then the problem is you, that was masterful!
nearly 30 years of peak opponent crushing performances. since a child. literally. its incredible...
That speed into turn 1!! These cars are amazing! And Lewis aswell..
Cornering at 300kmh. Lewis redefines physics...
Alonso's overtake 2005? With less aero
That corner can be taken full throttle since 2002. Nothing new here...
Not his biggest fan but cant deny the immense talent and this particular quali lap is out of this world. Well done Lewis
Smooth like butter on bread
I beg to differ! Lurpak is a nightmare to spread on bread! The so called "Spreadable" is why i have trust issues :D ;)
exactly , its not a cool analogy .. plus bread is a lumpy surface especially if its toasted ...
That was a sexy lap!
鈴鹿サーキットが、簡単なサーキットだと錯覚してしまうくらいハミルトン&メルセデスベンツはスペシャルです。
The only current driver to have pole on all current circuits 👏👏
Ashish Kumar i think mogjt have that as well but dont quote me on it
Except for Monaco and Singapore though. But yeah, he's great
Julien NT ?? Monaco 2015, Singapore 2014
Singapore 2014 and Monaco 2015??????
Julien NT monaco 2015, singapore 2014, also he got pole in Singapore when he was at McLaren
This guy is a real champion, loved the driving skills on this lap! Amaizing!
Ridiculous how good this boy is!!
This is My favorite drifting circuit in gran turismo sport
spped in the corners seems absolutely monstrous .. watching the pole position af Ayrton the differences in all corners are so big.... nice pole Lewis :D
Pray for Schumacher, we will always have you in our memories and never forget all those times we watched you dominate and change F1. Stay strong and get well soon.
The way that car can scrub off all that speed when braking hard... must be like having a mild crash for us mortals!
0:37 damn!
LOVE the telemetry circle, it makes it so much more in depth because sometimes when you watch a car go around a track you cant really break down what's really going on beyond "yeah that's looks pretty fast". but with the speed, the gears, the throttle, the brake data laid out in front of you, you understand every little move and it really puts the drivers skill on display. if only the g forces were on there as well!
im literally learning new techniques from watching the telemetry: look at the way he doesn't downshift before he starts braking. He brakes all the way down to the speed he wants, then shifts down to the gear he wants AFTER. See, I would never think to do this because in theory it increases your braking distance, but i guess the stability of having it in higher gear into the turn was worth it considering the result... funny how the textbook line isn't always the best for each driver. its all about how you string it together and find your own speed and style
Replayed this video like 10 times, cant believe how glued to the road he is in some turns, surreal
Not a hamilton fan but this is a smooth lap
I'm a Ferrari fan but this was on another level.
Massive respect to Lewis but let's hope the race won't be boring and onesided... reminds me of 2016 again
Borna Siroki Ferrari fan with a RedBull profile picture... Seems legit
Haha props to mrtuning!
mrtuning 1972 I liked the RB12 a lot and never thought about changing my pic...
mrtuning 1972 wow are you some kind of detective. You good.
Borna Siroki you can't lie yourself out of a lie.
So smooth! Such a dive from him! The cars seems to be working very well. Mighty setup work!
Love this camera angle
Who's here after the new 2023 camera onboard from lewis?
me
Greatest driver since Michael
Michael is shit
It’s weird seeing the on boards without the halo. Almost like the cars half finished.
Pure quality driving skills. Having onboard cameras is what really makes formula exciting to watch. Watching the drivers wiz around the track together becomes very boring after a few laps. They so need to have more onboard camera clips like this video to bring in more viewers. This video really shows how hard it is to do what they do. you can you can sense all the high speed turns and appreciate the whole sport a lot more. Lewis looking in top form.
Absolutely astonishing what kind of corners those cars can take flat out.
First corner almost flat out, 330-320km/h. This is a track that separates the men from the boys.
It's the slow corners which actually are shocking in terms of the average speed those cars have. A couple of 90° corners a Formula 1 car takes at almost 200 kph, whilst a super-hyper-mega-roadcar with semislicks doesn't manage to hit 120 kph...
Got to witness that lap and Singapore 2018 qualifying laps live both special.
Best driver on the fastest car, unbeatable. HAMMERTIME 44 .

🤣 Yes of course, it was out of this world, never seen anything like it.
2 years later and has not been beaten yet. This lap was legendary 💯
Breathtaking lap from Lewis. Man and machinery in perfect harmony. When he's on it, no-one else comes close.
What a legendary track. Gives you the classic feeling every time.
If only every F1 race was held at a track as good as this.
Not a Hamilton fan, but gotta admit he’s one of the best ever. Alonso and him are above the rest. So pleasing to watch.
above vettel and raikonnen?
Zexsen Alonso > Hamilton > Vettel > Raikonnen
Oliver McCall Vettel>Hamilton>Alonso>Raikkonnen>Bottas
Raikkonen is good but Hamilton is smooth
+Zexsen No Raikkönen is useless but Vettel is far above anyone
2017-18 cars looked incredible and lethal
This video game has Super Mario physics !
...wait a minute...
is that a real life lap ?!
Seb fan here, this lap is fucking fast and awesome, hats off
2023, still cant belive how did Hamilton's 2017 Pole Lap at Suzuka got too many dislikes.
1:18 This must be crazy! amazing!
I know how hard suzuka is to play even on esports. That man #44 just made it look easy. I've never, ever seen someone make suzuka look that easy. And now I've got to stop cuz I've a lump in my throat
Ever since he debuted, I hated how good he was. Have to bow to the greatness that is Lewis Hamilton in 2019.
Legendary driver! Epic lap!
His driving is so smooth it doesn't even feel fast. I've seen videos from the mid 2000's of Schumacher driving one of those monster cars around Suzuka and it feels really fast; you can see him chopping at the wheel and struggling with traction. Lewis makes it look easy.
That was a flawless lap. Hardly any steering input. So calm, yet carrying all that speed. He's handling these big cars beautifully. I know he's in a Merc and all these cars have amazing gearboxes and brakes now but that's sensational.
People who say this lap was from the car and not the driver, need a SERIOUS reality check.
No it was all Lewis, he ran around the track and broke the record no car involved
You can hate him on his personality or on the way he dresses but you can't deny Lewis Hamilton is one of the all time greats to sit on a F1 cockpit , without hating on him appreciate him look at bottas he's I'm no way of Hamilton's level
2013 was the prime example of his talents and just how he is able to extract a few extra tenths from any given car.
Minimal talking
No you can't. There's nothing dislikable about his personality. The only people that hate him are racists and that's a fact. You can hate the way he dresses though lol that's justified
Fuck you and your racist card.
@@HugoStiglitz88 Precisely. Racists and those that deny it. Many hypocrites pretend they're not racists.
Dayum these 2017 cars are fast! Just flying through the corners
Absolute Legend. Suzuka seems to be a very high speed track.. Speed dropped to less than 100km/hr only the hairpin and Chicane part. Those high speed corners!! wow
Now imagine the 2020 version of this car
No halo what a beautiful sight
One of the nicest laps I have ever seen
Amazing to watch, effortless skill with the wheel
I respect him as a driver and as a person. I like the way his acts off the track, I like his style, I respect his choice of lifestyle. I don't think he is unnecessarily arrogant.
You are triggered because you disagree with me. Yes, you.

Lewis is a machine
This is the most beautiful lap I've seen so far. The speed in the first corner is just insane.
Look how little does he have to struggle with the steering wheel, every manoeuvre is just SO PERFECT.... Still watching this brilliant lap in 2021
His the man....big big clap for Lewis
Amazing lap. I see Senna in Lewis. I met Ayrton, and marveled at the way he turned his head, side-to-side as he drove. Incredibly smooth, with a fluid steering style. Lewis gets into the groove, and makes everyone else look so slow. Vettel was a terrible sport: grudging in his praise for Mercedes, and his radio outbursts are so childish. Last week, he unloaded on Stroll, I believe, for supposedly “driving into me”. When the race footage was reviewed, by the BBC crew, Stroll held the racing line and didn’t move his steering wheel. The accident was Vettel’s fault, as are so many race incidents involving him. He can be a decent driver, when he has the best car, with the best set-up, but he’s a bad loser, and his outbursts are bad for the sport. I hope Lewis trounces him, tomorrow. I hope Botha’s gets back to winning, or number two, because he’s a great driver, and a better ambassador for the sport. Vettel is all about Vettel, and Formula One deserves more class. Senna, Hamilton, Botha’s, Button, Berger, and so many others have been ultra competitive, without becoming foul-mouthed, and selfish. Good luck to Mercedes, tomorrow!
Wow! The speed is phenomenal, especially through the esses, degner and spoon
look at the steering, that car must feel AWESOME to drive here.. amazing lap!
GOAT Lewis Hamilton
A bunch of haters here.
beautiful! that said i would like cameras back on the top of the roll hoop and g-force telemetry!

Great vídeo 📹. Awesome lap 👌💪👍
never dropped down gear 3, and the management of the first sector was superb. Definitely taking inspiration from him when driving on this circuit on the f1 videogame.
Great lap by Hamilton.
Villeneuve and Senna would struggle against HAM. Lewis is the best ever driver, bar none, to compete in GP F1 . .
Lol why did you mention Villeneuve ffs! Ham is great when its going well, similar to Vettel!
For me you prove yourself as a driver when things are shit!
Schumacher went to a laughing stock of a team at the time(ferrari) and won races in that car in the first few years when it was awful which everyone forgets. He went toe to toe with the mclarens which were on another page and made F1 interesting. Thats the sign of a legend!
Lewis did that to Vettel during the years Redbull was winning and his car was not the best - he often put it on the front row behide Vettel. He had 8 wins between 2009 and 2011 when he didnt even have the second best car. That's like what Danny Ric is doing today except Lewis was doing on pace and not luck.
Maciu Vatu sorry, last I checked senna was 3sec a lap faster in Monaco in the wet in the slowest car on the grid and past Alain Prost in 1st place literally milliseconds before the race was stopped because Prost said it was too dangerous. The man was driving bar non like a man possessed. Senna will never be outclassed. Closest person to ever be near him in skill was Jim Clark and Schumacher I’m his prime
People keep saying it's just the car
But time and time again Lewis keeps giving us moments like this... It's driver and car working together is what it is
Wow that is some great driving and grip. I always slide in those tracks
So much nicer w/o the ridiculous halo
He's the best driver, like Senna, and the most consistent (like Schumi). Lewis will be remembered as the GOAT. Once all the racists die off and the world judges him for his accomplishments this will be 100% obvious.
That was such a fast and smooth lap, insane!
the way the car just sticks to the ground at that speed and turn...
beauty
I can't wait until this season is over. I'm sick of seeing salty Vettel and Ferrari fanboys in the comments.
The car is no faster than the Ferrari this year...
sandman1347 No. Mercedes is still faster.
I thought Lewis won European championship racing against Vettel and Roseberg in their teenage years. Was he still driving a better car of did it have something to do with him being a good driver?? Do you know that these drivers have been racing each other since they were about 13- 14 years of age till now? If you didn't know, now you know. And guess who mostly won when they raced through the 20 years they've been racing each other?? You guessed it.. Lewis. If you're new to motorsport don't worry!!
Joel Nsadha Buddy, I’m talking about about now. Not when they were teenagers. I’m talking their F1 Careers. Okay. Sorry if your slow. Also trust me I’m not new to Motorsport especially when I’m a part of it.
Googelplex are you talking about Singapore or Malaysia; where the Ferrari was CLEARLY a lot faster than the Mercedes but failed to win due to Vettel's mistakes or reliability issues? Are you talking about Mexico, where the Ferrari was again quicker but Vettel crashed into Hamilton on the first lap; ruining both of their races? All you're doing is making excuses...
I don't like him but his pole laps this year have been spectacular
feel so weird to see cars without Halos now, the drivers were so exposed and please bring back the telemetry with the onboards
130-R at 312 KPH, absolutely mental. I love it.
Back when there were still no HALOS. 😇
