Just a group of 60 year old men ( at the time) showing all the kids how it’s done! Complete crowd control 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Argentina, the best crow of all. In Argentina we listen to international rock so much that every time a band comes from abroad the stadiums are filled, besides we are very passionate and effusive so we put all the energy every time we go to a show 😎 AC DC is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can't argue with the evidence. Best Crowd EVER.
I'm glad they decided to shoot the concert on this very stadium. All those people became a sixth member of the band.
Nobody ever reacts to the best live version of this. Donnington August 1991. It’s better than the studio version
Totally agree ❤️🏴
The whole Donnigton concert is 🔥
Jep right👍
exactly!!!
Had the dvd oddly growing up, such a child hood memory. Watched it every road-trip on those cheap headrest screens
At the time of River Plate, 2009, Brian was 62 years old. Considering he sings in a style that would shred a mere mortal throat and reduce it's user to a whisper at that point in time, I think he sounds bloody marvelous.
That would put him in his 90s. He is 76 now?
@@hays9008 Yeah, he's 76. He was born in 1947.
@@hays9008- 90s??
Malcolm Young, a true hero of Rock 'n Roll. Rest In Peace my brother in Rock. No has mentioned this so far, but Malcolm was already suffering from dementia at this concert. The last year of this tour he was studing his own songs every day before going on stage, just so he wouldn't forget them... Studing his own songs!!! Every Day!!! That's dedication to your art. A more true rock 'n roll soldier is yet to be born.
thanks! Thats a true rock and roll guy right there. For the fans till the end.
And to tell how great a guitarist Malcolm was, Malcolm taught Angus everything and during an interview someone asked Angus what it was like to be the greatest guitarist in the world and Angus laughed "Greatest guitarist in the world? I'm not even the best guitarist in my family!" Malcolm just knew Angus had a better stage presence so he went rythym and stayed in the background. He was in a lot of ways the backbone of the band and controlled a lot of what they did from behind the scenes or frontline so to speak.
Very Very True@@sammyp4216
gotta love that crowd, what an energy
There is nothing like live music! Not supposed to be "perfect", it's the vibe, fun, feeling you get from a live concert as you can plainly see from the crowd.
The great thing is you see different generations in the crowd, and they are singing along with the songs, that is the ultimate sign that they transcend the generations.
Excellent song, but you need to listen to early AC/DC with Bon Scott singing. I would recommend 'Touch Too Much' or 'Whole Lot of Rosie'
Whole lotta Rosie from the same concert was INSANE!!!
Not as good with Bon
I'm not a fan of Bon Scott. Don't get me wrong, loved the voice, but hated his presence for the live shows. When they performed live, Bon always needed the attention on him. It always feels like its Bon Scott with back up band AC/DC, whereas with Brian, it's AC/DC, and Brian's their front man.
R.I.P. Malcolm Young. Saddest pic I've ever seen was Angus standing behind his brothers hearse with Malcolm's guitar.
Don’t forget a few weeks before Malcolm passed away George Young passed away
Holy shit-! When did he pass-?
@@robertphelps1574 The Youngs. Australia's greatest musical imports. Thankyou Scotland.
@@shegocrazy I don’t think Angus Young is an Australian citizen
Argentinians loooove their footy (soccer) and their rock, be it in English or in Spanish, there have been some great Spanish Rock bands from Argentina as well. Passionate crowd for sure, loved the atmosphere.
Great reaction guys
AC/DC is really awesome! Love watching Angus playing that guitar and doing his dancing all over the stage!❤
Great reaction!❤
The 60's,70's and 80's were magical.
It was a huge long party with the best music in history front and centre.
Thank God i'm a boomer.
We were the most fortunate, blessed generation of them all.
For those about to Rock from this show is 🔥🔥🔥
Whole Lotta Rosie and Let There Be Rock frm the same concert are also worth a watch.
And The Jack
Still to this day, the best live show I've ever seen , and I saw over a hundred. Their stage performance and the fan reaction was amazing.
without exaggeration, this group is one of the symbols of Australia.
That`s a bit embarrassing , the Lead singer is English the others are Scottish born and hold British as well as Aussie passports 🤣
@@telstar4772 😄
Yeah but they known for being an Australian band.
Lo único que conozco de Australia, son los canguros y AC DC jajajajaja....es broma my aussie pal.! Saludos cordiales desde Argentina, tierra de Rock.!!
@@telstar4772 Ask them where they come from. Australia mate (Brian excluded). but yeah.. only Phil born in Aus from this lineup.
They've been doing this a long time, first album was '74 Jailbreak (of course came out in 1974). AC/DC is the loudest concert I have ever been to and just to compare, I've been to Ozzy, Pantera, Rob Zombie, Van Halen, etc. and none of the come close to the volume. The sound is clear too, usually the louder bands are the more distorted they get so a huge thumbs up to the people they have doing their sound setup. Loved them since I was a kid and will 'til I'm gone!
The crowd at an AC⚡️DC concert makes it a religious experience in the best of ways. 🤘
I can totally see both of you at an AC⚡️DC show, right up front rockin out, with Sam leading the crowd vibe all the way! 😄
BTW... my grown kids tell me constantly how jealous they are that I was growing up as massive rock fan and concert goer from the 60's thru the 80's. 😂 But they are glad their old man was there.
you have to watch the entire concert at river plate. It's one of the best rock n roll concerts recorded. 100% pure power for 2 hours, not one song that doesn't make you move.
there are bands...and there is AC/DC live...unmatched
on tour for 50 years and on stage last week. they are part of my life I love them.
You are right it is 19 years after the studio version, and considering by this time brian was losing his hearing pretty badly he still sounds great, yes not the studio but still amazing
We love AccaDacca down under. What an amazing stage presence. Always better live. So proud of our Aussie music scene.
The lead singer is English the other born in Scotland.😏
Very awesome this live version 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Young people fantastic!!!
Thanks for staying on River Plate.
“Whole Lot of Rosie”
I saw them, I think in 1977 at Towson state college in Maryland. They openend for a band called The Rockets, that had a top ten hit at the time. Anyway, when AC/DC came out everyone was blown away. We were saying, "this is the opening act!!" WTF! this is the show. Everyone was very nice. Didn't do any of that boing the main act off the stage, but it was close. I was asked at the last minute if I wanted to go. Good decision. Bon Scott was singing at the time.
Next AC/DC River Plate reaction has to be "Whole Lotta Rosie" or "The Jack." Both of molten lava performances! 🌋🔥
One 1⃣ of the great 🎸⭐️💯
Bought my first record in 1977 (let there be rock) when I was 14, still love them, timeless rock, great post
I've seen AC/DC 6 times and the have blown me away each time! 🙂
I grew up in this error and saw all the great bands and they still remain the best live band ever....Angus Young remains one of the most under rated guitarists of all time... great to watch brought back a lot of memories.
At my gym, one of the other aerobics instructors plays this song at the beginning. She has us jogging or walking around the room in a circle. Each time he says “thunder struck” we have to stop and do a burpee. Lots of fun!!!!!
Love y'alls reactions!❤
they brought this out in 175 and it STILL rocks.. wow, what did you expect??????????????? (eye roll)
South American fans are next level. Seeing them with this concert and Iron Maiden and Rush concerts they are absolutely rabid fans!
Seen them in concert live awesome show yay 🎤🥁🎸🎸🤘😎🤘
Maximum Overdrive (1986) - A van in the opening has the AC/DC logo on the side. The band AC/DC provided the soundtrack for the film.
They sure were something we had the greatest music ever made ❤😊
Si, por supuesto que lo disfrutamos. Porque yo estuve allí!!! El club de Futbol "RIVER PLATE", es en Buenos Aires, Argentina
yo tambieeen capo....tercera fecha!!!! una locuraaaa
There going on tour this summer in Europe 🌍 hope they come to the states 🤘😆🤘🎸🎤
I just listened t the official version and this is just as good or better. The vocals are strong in both.
100 thousand people!!!
AND THE CROWD IS ONE GIANT MAASHPITT WHERE EVER THEY PERFORM !!! !!!
You gotta listen to “For those about to Rock” We salute u 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great reaction you two!!!! I say try the tune For Those About To Rock We Salute You from this same 3 night performances at River Plate. It is there closing song with cannons no less and it does bring down the house!!!! You won’t be disappointed Phil!!So says Austin Tx!!!! ❤️❤️😎🍸
I first saw acdc in 1972/73? At a local church hall (St Peter's) in East bentleigh Victoria Australia at a blue light disco. These were music/dance events for under 15 kids, as I was then, with nuns and police as chaperones. Suffice to say the nuns were shocked and the police were loving it. All songs were covers. Not sure they had written a song yet. It was wild.
They have their own horn section in the audience! When I listen to AC/DC, so do my neighbors!
I saw AC/DC live in the early 2000's. Unfortunately it was an open-air stadium and it rained the entire time but to see Thunderstruck played in the middle of a real thunderstorm with real lightening flashing across the sky is something else! Even if it is a bit scary!
watch whole lotta rosie for an angus shredd job from same venue
Crowd was Thunderstruck. Awesome to watch.
The first time I saw ACDC was when Bon Scott was still alive. When Brian Johnson joined, I was leery. I have to say I was surprised. This song is just so good. .
Hi Phil & Samantha, I only saw them once but it was Amazing and Loud😀
The best concert is Monsters of Rock, Castle Donington 1991, but obviously the spectacle of modern stadium show is right here, and the crowd is absolutely mental.
I loved your reaction - particularly the nodding head vibe. You know those old car dashboard dogs that used to nod their heads. I also find myself doing the nodding head thing when I listen to the majority of AC/DC songs. I just can't help it.
If you never got to see them live, I feel sorry for you. Seen them 6 times. And EVERY show was insane and different!
Ur guys reaction is priceless
The whole band amazing, I met Brian in a car show double took is it, what a man driving there I was listening to back in black album his 1st . Shook his hand best day of my life, sorry kids lol
Angus young knows what hes doing.
Still putting on a great show in 2023 in California and hoping for a tour
I’ve heard Angus was really upset when a reporter said that AC/DC had put out 12 albums that all sounded the same, he said you’re wrong we’ve put out 13 albums that all sound the same! LOL😂😂😂E
You can also search for this song with a movie that it scored in.
Battleship MV AC/DC Thunderstruck.
This is also a great movie to do a reaction to.
Well, considering Angus was the young one at 54, and the average age of the band was about 57.....these guys were the parents and grandparents ages of a LOT of the audience!
HE SAID IT WAS BAD! GET HIM!!!
Ok High Voltage live at Donnington!!!! You will love it!! ❤
The tattoo on that guys chest was of Angus' face from the 'Highway to Hell' album cover.
I'M Glad You're Watching LIVE Show's, Try Them Out Performing In ( Donnington UK. Kick * SS !!! !!!
Depeche Mode "never let me down, personal Jesus" and their latest "Ghosts again" another brilliant UK band you must try, they are also great live......
I Got to see them in '85'...... The BOMB..... The FLY ON THE WALL TOUR.... Just TOP........ WICHITA KS.....

The exception that proves the rule.
Kick me why down by AC❤⚡️DC,,,LOOK IT UP
That is in the top 3 of any intro ever.
they are in their 50 60 range here still rock
All for one 1⃣ crazy Aussie as always ❤❤1️⃣🇦🇺
You gotta do Let There Be Rock at River Plate, it's nuts
Live river plate is the last ac/dc DVD black ice world tour 2009
Angus Young 👏🤘
The tattoo is of Angus (the lead guitarist). And it is actually a very common tattoo with the AC/DC die hard fans.
3rd day in a row at river plate, still amazing energy!
🎸🤘🏻🔥 AC⚡DC🔥🤘🏻🎸
NUFF SAID
Watch “Jailbreak” from their concert at Donnington……..the ultimate Angus video with a surprise in the middle.
you need to watch the two cellos do this it's epic
Nice voice man!
Welcome to Argentina🎉
Remember at river plate all these guys were in their late 50s early 60s.
0:27 That slight starting banter towards Sam,had me bursting out in laughterHaving spoken to numberous people over the years, not knowing they were into AC/DC,one common thing has come out of every one of them: Thunderstruck is that song they consider being AC/DCs "theme song",the song that represents them the best. Some even calls it theyr best song, and i do agree. Eventhough i hold Hells Bells,Highway To Hell and even Whole Lotta Rosie very high too,Thunderstruck is on a different level.
5:04 Yeah Phil, stop being a party pooper towards Samantha *puts up a fight to maintain the pokerface*
No comments on the subject? Well i already did!
9:02 Thats my new nickname on Angus now. Angus "Short pants suit" Young
I dont think i have seen you react to anything from Donington.
River Plate is passionate, but Donington is known for giving an electric atmosphere as well!
How about: (i would love to see Samanthas reaction to this performance): AC/DC - Whole Lotta Rosie (Live at Donington, 8/17/91)
AC/DC's TNT at River Plate had epic crowd participation!
Buena banda 🔥
Check out the Apollo Glasgow in 79 with Bon. Try Riff Raff. They were the best rock n roll band in the world right there
Its a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll
Oh, and AC/DC? They're AC f'n DC. They don't do autotune to make it pretty. This is rock and roll. And they're gods.
That tattoo is of Angus Young from their Highway to Hell album that is why you see the crowd were red horn headbands. The song Highway to Hell was much maligned at the time for devil worship and satanism, but the band countered that with the persistent claim it was no more than a song about having to be continuously on the road touring.
School Boy outfit AY 🎸
You should check out Let there be rock, live at river plate Angus's solo is unbelievable
That is when music took no prisioners. Climb on board or get lost.......
I loved your video and reaction. Just one point to make! Its so obvious that you have seen this before and done all your homework to make the video what you wanted it to be! But just saying the best reactions are real ! Just go in blind and shoot from the hip!
The tat was of Bon Scott, former member that passed away.
