There is no competition here. Darren deserves this more than anyone. He played Andrew Cunanan with exceptionally charged emotions and understated elegance. A show-stopping scene-stealer. (I love Benedict Cumberbatch though)

From the moment I saw the scene w him in the parked car hysterically crying/laughing/in astonishment & disbelief (either after he killed Versace or after he realized they were looking for him) that he would win... he literally carried this entire season and I totally didn't expect that- I didn't even realize it would be an Andrew Cunanan story lol

I think this is the best win I've ever seen on the Emmy's! Darren Criss made me cry and feel pity for Andrew when he played that character! I know that Andrew did awful things but Darrin made him human and I loved watching the series, it was my guilty pleasure! Thank you Ryan Murphy for taking a chance on this exceptional young man!
