    I sure do appreciate you resolving that issue I thought it was my end link or outer tire rod was bad after upgrading the stock 18 inch wheel to 20 inch with mud tires & a 2 inch lift. I sincerely appreciate the resolution of that problem

    Horrible tip pb and wd40 will wash out and break down the grease in your joints and for sure make it worse. Use lithium grease or normal balljoint grease even olive oil would be better than pb.

    This has helped me before not what I was looking for in the video but still this does work from experience

    Hope that’s silicone spray because petroleum will deteriorate the rubber.

    Good tip! Thanks for sharing. A couple of nice looking Tundras there.

    That is not lubrication guy that's for busting rusty nuts and bolts penetrating oil duuh you gonna get white lithium grease spray

      Yes exactly 💯 do not use wd40 either there is a reason people use wd40 and pb blaster to clean grease off their motorcycle wheels

    This is probably the worst thing you can do. You do NOT try to cover up a noise with lube. All it’s going to do is collect dirt ect causing things to wear out way quicker. Fix the ISSUE correctly

    This is spray and pray. The bolts need to be tightened after applying bearing grease or at least silicon spray.

    This didn’t work for mine, ended up being the bushings on the steering rack being worn out and replaced. No problems now

      What year is your Tundra? Did you have the Toyota dealer diagnose this and fix?

    Check spare tire sub frame attachment. Push up on it

    Definitely some sexy tundras in this video. My 2010 platinum makes a clank when I push the gas and two clanks when I let off. Mostly between 25-50 mph but when I’m stopping too. I’m going to try this because I’ve been chasing the sound for three years, but I don’t think we are hearing the same thing. Have you heard of what I’m talking about?

    • @slickwhip_talk
      @slickwhip_talk  Před 3 lety

      No I haven't heard that noise

      @stay4theride Před 2 lety

      Have you solved the issue?? My Tundra also makes a clank noise when I take off and also when breaking. At slower speeds is when you hear it.

  • @dalephillips8250
    @dalephillips8250 Před 3 lety +2

    Mine never has had that sound. Only when starting up and driving within 20 yards you will hear thunk which is the ABS system check but I've never heard of the noise you are referring to.

    • @dalephillips8250
      @dalephillips8250 Před 3 lety +2

      @@arachnofan73 Yep I got that straight from Toyota and one of their top techs.

    • @dalephillips8250
      @dalephillips8250 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @rjnoj-xb5kq if you don't hear that clunk then you should be worried as it means your abs check system isn't working.

    • @TacomaEscape
      @TacomaEscape Před 6 měsíci

      I just bought a 2023 Tacoma and I am hearing that clunk within 5ft of driving too. I have asked 20+ people who owns Tacomas and only half of them hear that noise and the other half doesn’t hear it. I’m still not sold that is a normal noise. Still investigating it with the dealer.

    • @dalephillips8250
      @dalephillips8250 Před 6 měsíci

      @Chris-be5ec if the Toyota techs are correct it is a normal thing...other Tundra owners all have it and my son's 2023 tacoma has it

    Thats NOT a good idea ,, That is Penetrating oil .. NOT a Lubricant ... That will eventually make the problem worse .

    I need help please just bought a 2018 trd sport with only 13k miles when I bought it the steering wheel would shake like crazy on highway took it back and dealer fixed it but now I have a super bumpy rough ride and vibration in the steering wheel gas pedal and brake in higher speeds I know it’s a truck and it’s a different ride quality but man it’s so uncomfortable super bouncy and rough and the vibration is driving me crazy is that common?
