How does a buyer protect themselves from land title fraud?
Are licensees or tenants at will covered under the Rent Restriction Act?
How can one probate a will where there is a timeline that exists for probate?

A "no trespassing sign" will not deter squatters. They'll instead see it as a welcome sign.

Very good information there 👌. I wish you could touch on land trusts and holding title in escrow in Jamaica 🇯🇲.

Very informative. Lovely information!! If there's a will destroyed, and there's written evidence that a beneficiary in the destroyed will was willed land, can affidavits can be used to register caveats based on this equitable interest in a registered land, and how long will the caveat last? What are the prerequisites for registering caveats? An even interesting context is whether if the tenant shares rented property with Landlord such as kitchen or living room, I wonder what the Rent Restrictions Act and case law there state.

Hi, good morning. I made a purchase on property in jamaica. The title was issued to me, after I was told there's an adjustment needed to be made on the title.then, I was told again that the title was lost from the title office..I have never heard of such stories in my life..
Please can you respond to that for me.
    Thanks

Greetings Home & Away Ja, I know someone who has purchased a house via NHT for about 5 years now and has not received a duplicate title. The person's attorney is no longer available. Can the person simply pay for a copy of that title and download it from the NLA's website?
