Just a little context: leading up to this, Josh had been trashing the Marvel films that Mark, Jeremy, and Elizabeth were there to promote, and Josh used to write poems/material for Dora the Explorer.

Chiffron - There are a ton of things to love about the Graham Norton Show but I’m not sure what being “unscripted” has to do with anything. After all, ALL talk shows are completely unscripted. That is, except for when they are performing skits on the show. Naturally in all talk shows the production team does a lot of research to help the host come up with questions and in many cases I’m sure they discuss the questions with the guest ahead of time. None of this makes these shows “scripted” in any way, shape, or form however.

Personally, Mark seems too nice to be so rude to someone, and I think at the moment he thought it, he said it before he could catch himself, and that's why he immediately apologized. Graham Norton is 100x better than all of the American chat show hosts we're subjected to over here. He's actually funny and doesn't constantly talk over his guest! (Ahem Jimmy Fallon)

Mark Ruffalo was BRUTAL and that line truly came out of nowhere. That was beyond brilliant and perfectly timed!!! You see the delayed reaction of everyone on the panel. Truly an atomic bomb level roast!
This is what is great about Graham's show, it isnt just the interaction between random people put together but just turns into a proper conversation and not a question and answer chat show. Even better when Mark seemed equally as shocked as everyone else

No...it was meant as an insult. To say that a girl over 12 is mature enough to make him feel sexually threatened... i.e. he's not just scared of grown women but little girls who are just starting to develop.

Basically Mark was trying to make a punchline that would imply that only girls under 12 would like Josh's material but because he rushed into the joke without assessing it he missed the fact that the punchline could also imply that Josh is a paedophile.

Another is Greg Davies and his curry and laundry mix-up story. And, there are sooo many more from many of Graham's shows, the best talk show on air !
