- Girl Power is the theme of our latest TUI Cockpit Film featuring 2 Female crews operating the Boeing 737-700 to Greece and the Boeing 737-800 to the Canary Islands.
Just Planes has a long history with TUI Airlines (ex Jetairfly & Arkefly) having filmed all their aircraft types since more than 10 years. Jetairfly in Belgium has been a real pleasure to work with and our latest film featuring this fast growing airline features women pilots and a look at how they were motivated to start flying.
In the process this new cockpit film features the Boeing 737-700 with winglets and the 737-800 with new scimitar winglets to some of the many nice vacation destinations TUI flies to, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote in the Canary Islands and Corfu in Greece.

As an aircraft engineer I have done several thousands of aircraft preflight checks. This was a textbook check exactly as I would have done it. The cockpit preflight briefing was also textbook. This video could be used as an instruction video. The reason it is so safe to fly is shown here. Following the procedures, double verifying checklist items and focusing on the work.

@@billotww9162 Transition lenses go light to dark or dark to light instantaneously. Also they may look dark to other person, but person wearing it isn't dark at all.
@@billotww9162 There is plenty of ambient light in a nose wheel bay to see what's going on. The camera is fooled going from a bright light source to focusing on a darker environment.

Hardest thing as being a pilot not to fly airplane. hardest thing is understand the people who speaks english with very different and weird accents from flight control towers in various countries. you ladies are great!. you are amazing!.
They’re hardly weird accents. Anyone with a knowledge of the various International English accents can understand them perfectly.

It is absolutely amazing to watch these two professionals doing their job from this perspective. It's incredible the amount of training they had to go through to be where they're at. I was watching the eyelashes of the copilot she was looking at the instrument board more than she was looking out the window. Just those little things you pick up by watching great programming like this. Continued success.

I enjoy learning the out side inspection and the prefight and it looks like both of you enjoy being a pilot.
Always reassuring to see our lives are confided into the hands of trained professionals. Even better when said professionals are women even more careful for the lives in the back. And in this case even better as they are Belgian, as I am! Makes me feel especially proud. They won’t be flying much for quite a while though, and that is sad. Way to go, girls, you’re the best!

Just love the way the first officer keeps checking her nails!! Almost as if that is part of the the before take off check list, probably is for an all female crew!!! Great video though and all credit to this professional crew, would fly with them anytime :-)

they are very optimistic about everything and thats good for the general atmosphere . .. .
The pilot flying out from Corfu to Brussels (6 months ago) made an external inspection of the body and all she focused on Was if there were any scratch marks on the nose, belly or sides of the cockpit. Then she turned her attention to tyres and all shheseemed concerned about was that there seemed to be no leakage and the the tyres were not hot( for obvious reason-- tyres heat up only after they have taxied at high speed for lift off.)

Like She did not check with the engineer on the working condition of the wheel hatches (. A very common problem we get to hear
To be the main cause of many crashes).* The inspection was so cosmetic as to be farcical. I did not expect the promotion company to be so stupid as to insult the sanguine frequent travellers intelligence.

@@ashrafnoorwala8470 The walk around was good and thorough as far as I could see. Is there an engineer with which to check "wheel hatches"? I've never heard of that before. She checked the calipers for heat, not the tyres I think.
@@ashrafnoorwala8470 Wow !! you have a problem with your anger management. Walk around is a usual practice for civilian and military pilots. Is a visual recognition of the general external condition of the plane

Though the pilot's skill definitely helps to fly and land a plane safely, the real heroes who ensure the flight is safe and without mishap are the maintenance staff and the aeronautics engineers who check, recheck, every part of the plane between flights to tighten screws that have losened due to flight vibrations, weather impact, etc. They make sure the wing flaps do not get stuck, landing gears and the hatches work smoothly, electrical wirings inside are are safely sheated and not exposed at any point to cause short circuits, and so on and so forth.

I went to a Commercial Pilot School in the UK and I must say the ladies who got through were a 'certain breed', very likeable, good fun, totally professional and very unassuming. I'd fly with any of them anytime.

How co-pilots become pilots - they verbally go through a long check list with the pilot in command verbally - once it has been confirmed and agreed to - here we go - up , up and away - take 1000,s of flying hours before you are the captain . Great job ladies !

Thanks for posting this! Cheers from Quebec can. Was always my dream to be an airline pilot, but its never gonna happen. Closest thing I could get to is try a simulator... but then again.... very improbable. Only option would be a pc simulator... Like the pmdg md-11 I once had with flight sim 10. Plane videos are always cool and saddening to watch.

Great to see the ladies at the controls.
Certainly gives a different perspective from the cockpit. I was surprised how quickly the initial turn was executed immediately after takeoff. Also surprised at how quickly they reached altitude above the cloud ceiling. I've only flown once, and that was nearly 50 years ago, when I was 13.
At least she has the knowledge to make sure that the Aircraft is properly in order. Thank You for Your experience.
