I loved FFX so much! The ending theme and scene where they're all stood on the deck of the Fahrenheit with Sin and the Aeons in the background is just *chefs kiss*
As bizarre as the fashion is in FFX (and in X-2), I feel like it made such a huge impression on my tastes when I played this when I was younger, like imagine eight year old me looking at this game and thinking "people can wear things like that???", I don't think I would have had the kind of courage/boldness it takes to even consider the more eclectic fashion choices that I've made if it weren't for these JRPGs and their whacky hair and belts and zippers and whatnot. xD
Fun fact about Lulu’s character design and her belts: I forget the name of the person in charge but he choose all the belts simply to see if the design team was capable of animating them all simultaneously.

I must admit it hurts me to see your final score of one of my favourite games ever, but I understand your reasons and you were totally objective. Good job!
I definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys good stories.
I mean, it was a fair review. But there was nearly nothing there that was objective, this was nearly purely subjective enjoyment of the systems, story, themes and characters. To be fair that's fine, that's kinda what a review of something is. In my case, I could say that the temples were fun, the lightning bolt minigame I always do and fighting the aeons is a highlight. Moreover, even if you miss the hidden treasures in the temples you can absolutely get the ultimate weapons for the other characters and beat the few dark aeons that are needed to get yunas. Overall, fun video, I disagree with many points.

Sorry if it was mentioned and I somehow glanced it - tho on gameplay I'd look into the fairness of status effects (petrify, death, etc).
Being fairly familiar with this game, it doesn't shy from being terrible or unfair at certain aspects in the mercy of RNG or things you can't avoid like the Marlboro ambush, stone breath/gaze enemies, getting kicked off the battle by mechs, and so on. New players ain't prepared for those things, and being prepared would just mean unnecessary paranoia at many points.
There's also the aspect of having a game over, needing to load and go back to most recent savepoint without being able to skip cutscenes which has the infamous moments like yunalesca, seymour flux, or battles that catch players at times like evrae, sin head, or those who somehow can't beat the ronsos lol.
A worthy mention is also the hidden story beat changes in the story based on decisions. You can get Clasko to become a chocobo breeder and then see his journey in various places, or knight and lose out many parts. You can swap the death of Gatta/Luzzu in Operation Mi'ihen which also change their scenes when going back to Besaid. Donna can be convinced to stop the pilgrimage, or continue it, allowing various scenes there to change. Many such tiny secrets that's really only noticed on a replay.

FFX is one of my favorite games of all time and my first FF game so putting my nostalgia and bias aside and being objective, this was a very fair, thorough, comprehensive and great review especially with being able to see all the how all the different categories from the game are rated to give the overall score. Great job and great video as always 😄
I always like hearing what other fans enjoy about the game. Oddly enough everything you listed as a negative was a highlight for me. Pretty much the only bad things about the game for me are Blitzball being underbaked and there not being enough side content.

The character designer in this game took inspiration from BDSM magazines and other people in the office would be weirded out by them. The Wakka hate is a bit much, racism aside, he looks like any chill islander, strongest character in the game needs more respect

Lightning dodge can be controlled making a bit easier. I have done it. The worse part is having the focus to complete it. You mess up one time and you start over.

I thought it was just consistent dread, doom and death until a Summoner managed to kill Sin, and then it was gone for a few months to a few years, returning and slowly ramping up the doom and gloom until another Summoner could take it down. And according to the Temples, there are only like 4 High Summoners who actually managed to kill Sin.

Blitzball is the most fun! I like to play with the original aurochs since they're so bad.
My best friend and I enjoyed it enough to try creating a form of it in real life having tires off poles for goals so more a swimming quidditch but still gun memories

Just popping in with a small correction; Sin does not appear every 10 yrs, and even the current Sin has been around for a while, it's just been 10yrs when Sin attacks Zanarkand and brings Tidus to Spira. In 1000 yrs there have been 4 High Summoners, most that try to beat Sin fails, either before they even reach Zanarkand or in the battle against Sin. The calm is such a rarity that Spira's willingness to sacrifice its summoners makes perfect sense, Spira is desperate. The summoners are treated with utmost reverence and given a lot of privilege, and that is the "reward" for their sacrifice, but their sacrifice is a necessity as far as everyone knows (aside from Yevon, hence why they are the true villains).

Seeing as how many games will opt for a generic: nothing style for their side characters, Im not sure if I agree with your takes on the fashion of Spira.
Chocobo racing is the worst one there's a trick to get 200 lightning dodges. There's a spot you can run in a small circle and go into a little crater and lightning will strike each time. Learning this allows 200 doges relatively easily. I got every character's ultimate weapon except Tidus because heck with that chocobo race. Instead I crafted his ultimate weapon and gave it other abilities along with break damage limit I chose evade and counter, bdm, triple overdrive and I have yet to give it a forth as I haven't decided.
Wakkas took a while but I had everyone else's a long time before Wakkas which was the final celestial weapon I picked up. I got tidus' once with the pause effect on a different system and I'll never do it again!
Celestial weapons have unique damage formulas, so getting it would yield a better weapon than crafting could
Best name for Squall
FFX is great game played casually, but drops off in the end game. With its tedious grinding and mini games 😂
