The swords are taken out this week on the Magnificent Century! Suleiman learns that Hürrem is missing and he screams the place down. While Mihrimah keeps the sultans responsible for this, Mehmet blames Mustafa. The two brothers fall out even more. Malkoçoğlu questions royal family one by one. Meanwhile, Rüstem starts to look for Hürrem. At the moment everyone loses hopes, Malkoçoğlu finds a clue to reach Hürrem. It is find out who has abducted Hürrem. Suleiman gets shocked with betrayal and death once again.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

And we don't even know if she ever loved him in real life. I've been studying Suleiman's reign for a while and there's no actual evidence to suggest that Mahidevran was in love with him.
I don't think Suleiman and Hurrem's marriage would have broken the real Mahidevran's heart. The only reason it would have upset her is because the marriage was a threat to Mustafa taking the throne.

True but note once he started sending them off to their palaces. Like he told Hatice after Ibrahim’s death (it had been about 3 months) go back to your palace. In his palace lived 12-17 year old young women that needed to unleash and have fun, so yes they were having a party. Enough of the mourning already.
He loved them but they would make anybody crazy. When his mother Ayse Hayfsa was alive he likely didn’t have to hear all of that. Cause she would snatch her children back into reality quickly.

I agree with you he did care. He said that line in the last episode to Mirimah that you only realise how precious someone is to you when your are separated. I think he did develop some feelings for her but it's not deep enough/ worth the hassle for him. He's over all the palace games and has learned his lessons after his first wife and abigye. I don’t understand how Hatice could be so in love with someone who not only cheated on her, but also called her names behind her back and had a bastard. She doesn’t give a sh*t about her own children, only weeps for her dead husband, and plots against Hurrem all day long. Shah is still trying to convince herself Suliman will forget Hurrem she really is in denial because of her own failed marriage! She is blind.
This comment is spot on!!! I always say the Sultanas are jealous of what Hurrem and Sulieman's love. Because they themselves know nothing about true love. They were each used to breed for the dynasty whereas Hurrem built a relationship with the Sultan and that relationship grew into love.

The worst decision along with the casting of old Mustafa as teenage Mustafa ( I’m still laughing) is not working to get Miriam back. I blame and do not forgive the directors. I read her brother tried to negotiate her return and they didn’t. No wonder she will never work with them. They messed up their own series.
The fact that when Mehmet confronts Mustafa, he calls him Sehzade not Abi that means Brother, Mehmet was pretty serious!
Hattice not even caring about her children so selfish. She loved a man who treated her like crap then helped the woman he had affair with then used Nigar in her plans to get rid of Hurrem.

She miscarried, Her baby died due to her accident, first husband died from sickness, second husband who she truly loved and found peace and happiness cheated on her + made another girl pregnant, then to make matters worse, as their relationship started to reconcile her husband killed him with not saying a reason why so she has no reason but to assume it’s hurrem because she litterally attempted to kill Ibrahim the day before he died, AND her mother died. She may have done bad stuff, but she has reasons too. One thing I noticed in this series is that everyone is bad but they have reasons to do what they did so you can’t hate one without it hating the other. You say she is selfish for thinking for her children, but hadn’t hurrem try to kill herself too because the sultan was seeing other women? It’s not that she didn’t care for her children, it’s that she was wronged by the sultan. Suleiman failed to be a good brother to her as he killed her husband despite her happiness and, to make matters worse, he openly favors hurrem more than her and any of her other family members which is evidently clear when you compare how suleiman felt when hatice was misssing vs when hurrem was missing. Suleiman was willing to take the life of the person who kidnapped hurrem but didn’t want to believe that hurrem beat hatice and made her missing. Additionally, he married hurrem even though it was against his mothers wishes and made her stay alive even though she tried to kill mustafa twice. He was so quick to deny she did it but wasn’t so quick to deny that mustafa was rebelling even though he was slandered. No matter what team you are, suleiman favored hurrem more and that broke hatice’s heart. In the end, she surrender to God’s Justice because she realized the sultan won’t bring Justice. This is clear when suleiman listened as the end to all the manipulation and killed mustafa wrongfully. A lot of people shame her for her contempt for hurrem but forget that hurrem would dare to say “bring a harem for Ibrahim” while she was anxious that he might be cheating + when she trusted hurrem when she accused mahidevran of killing valide, she realized hurrem was manipulating her into hating mahidevran the same way hurrem tried to use Ibrahim’s cheating to lead to his downfall. Hurrem ( while she had her reasons ) never cared for hatices feelings and just wanted to preserve her power that’s why hatice never liked hurrem/ started to not like her. I’m not saying hurrem was wrong for that, but you cannot blame hatice as it was clear everyone in that palace was trying to benefit themselves.

It is an unforgivable mistake that the production did not find a way for Meryem to play the role to the end.
Yes. Given how popular she was they should have raised her salary and given her what she wanted. Plus supported her. This series would have been so fantastic if she'd acted till the end. Vahide percem was good but the spark between Meryem and Halit wasn't there in these episodes
She had some personal and health issues as well that led to her departure. It's all very sad, and I hope she has found peace and happiness.
Suleiman loved Hurrem as much as she loved him and even if it seemed that she was more desperate for his love it was only because he knew that she can't go anywhere and with anybody else while she was constantly facing this problem as it was Sultan's right to have as many women as he wants. For the first time he was the desperate one...
