I think that part of the reason that Anthony’s dances weren’t getting first place is because he focused too much on the boys looking masculine instead of giving them choreography that can show off their flexibility and the areas where they are most strong/comfortable with.

I agree when she is actually teaching them but maybe not when she puts them against Abby and switches out her team every other week for it
@Digby Dooright Yeah, it really is. In a few interviews with Cathy, she said how she basically played a character, and if she was stuck in this contract with Lifetime, she was at least going to have fun with it, so yeah it’s definitely a persona and character.
All that cathy did on the show was just an act she is really nice off camera

@@thestumpavarieteeshow Anthony showcased toxic masculinity because he had rules in place specifically for girls and one specifically for boys. He insulted the boys by comparing them to the girls and saw femininity as a weakness. Abby and the rest of the women of ALDC are just toxic. They don't go at the dancers or each other specifically because of their gender, but for more petty reasons. That's the difference.

When Anthony and Cathy were talking about Paige and Paige went down to them to confront them , Anthony trying to play it off as him giving her advice and teaching her something is bull , because he said it in an attempt to embarrass the girl in front of the audience and to make fun of her to get back at Abby . If he truly wanted to give her advice maybe he should have talked her off stage and away from the audience so she actually understands where he is coming from and not feel embarrassed and learn something . Anthony’s choreography for the duet was beautiful but I can see what Abby means, there wasn’t a lot of difficulty and technique. It would be amazing for another show but not a competition piece.

A lot of respect for the parent who came in angry asking why the girls weren't doing push ups like the boys.
Cathy might not be a good person or polite person but….She’s a good dance teacher and she’s nice to her dancers
Anthony is misogynistic, no doubt.
But I think it also stems from his experience in the dance industry, where men are expected to jump higher, turn faster than the girls. They’re expected to lift the girls above their heads and support them in their turns.
If we can expect girls to grow stronger, then their partners need to be able to support them too 🤷♀️
I really don’t like Kathy or Anthony but man, my heart broke when Abby spoke about his tribute to his father. She didn’t know it was a tribute, but as she always says...it’s a dance competition...so she should keep her opinions for the dressing room.
