- Today, me and my Taiwanese friend James decided to cycle from East Coast Park to Marina Bay Sands. Not many tourists do this, but it's one of the popular activities done by locals. You get this amazing sea view at all times, pass by nice looking cafes/restaurants, and stop by East Coast Lagoon Food Village and get to enjoy delicious local food. (You can watch the food review here - • 【シンガポール】イーストコーストパーク・ホ... )
It took us 87 minutes and the cost for the share bike was 2.86 Singapore dollars. It's really amazing, hope you enjoy it too. Huat AH!!

James
to Ghib-san Viewer Overseas, do not rent that Family Bike, its a trap, where by 30mins later, only the man of the family pedal for the whole family.
Lmao
😂😂
LMAO!
Spot on!
Hi Ghib San & James, hope these “can” Singlish is helpful :
Can meh? = sure it’s ok?
Can lah = yeah, it’s possible
Can Liao = that’s enough
Can lor = ya it’s ok.
Can Leh / Can Ma = hey, it works, it s possible.
Can Woh = surprised its actually possible.
Lee Wui Nghun can lah is more like: of course you can.
For a Taiwanese, his spoken English is not only good but sounds very calming and nice to hear.
Welcome back James. I had been waiting for your appearance on this channel.
I love how you call her mom, it's very cute lol
Wow enjoy your video. Gd topic, cycling from east coast to marina bay sand.
It always fun watching you catching up with James, so nice to see the friendship, I am envious! The ride looks fun, will try it out one of these days. Thanks and stay safe!
Singapore has many biking trails glad you did this one. Ghib-san keep up the good work. Enjoyed watching this one.
Your 'lao sai' struck me! You are real local & so funny to hear from jipun lang! 😁
the vibe is just amazing wow
This is a regular running route of mine! Love it that you showcased this on bike.
That music at 10:00 that's the music they play at fairprice 😜
Huat Ah Ghib-San!! Glad to see that you are out exploring Singapore! 🥳
Enjoying the fresh air! Huat ah
Lao sai.... you’re Hokkien getting better. Keep it up!
that trail is new to me. never thought the view is so beautiful from the other side.
How’s the East coast plan?
😂
Thanks for making this video. I enjoyed it :D
It's not just a yellow tower, it's a light beacon , for sea navigation.
Love your video man. Its always calming and made me want to visit another place. Thanks dude
You're my favourite CZcamsr in Singapore! I hired a bike from D'resort and rode around Pasir Ris last visit, next time I will use the bike app and do East Coast Park.
For the best view at 11:30 time, you should come in the evening when the sun is setting. Afterwards, you can head over to Satay By The Bay for dinner when the sun sets. Finally, if possible you may still be able to catch the crane dance over at MBS area at around 8.15pm (not sure if it's still on-going right now). But i think the most rewarding feeling if when you get to see the huge chandelier 3D lightings in MBS and enjoy the aircon after the long ride.
I do not aware we can cycle from East Coast to MBS. Will love to try it out!
Thanks for sharing!
BMT recruits march 24km using that trail after they disembark at SAF Changi Ferry Terminal from Tekong Island which end at Marina Bay Floating Platform.
You can’t say a proper Chinese greeting but you can say diarrhoea in dialect, well done! I am having a good laugh now.
going to miss james in your vids, you guys really vibing well with each other, kinda funny too ❤️
Nice biking tour 👍🏻 😎
I love east coast park :) and this route is indeed popular, you should go picnic-ing at marina barrage next with James XD
Yesss East Coast Park is my favourite place to go to!
Ji pun lang really like to go around
Next time go pulau ubin
So surprised to hear Ghib say Lao Sai so naturally!
I have done this route a few times and absolutely love it. Even on hot days. 😂
Me and friends ever walk from east coast to MBS. There's also a way to walk from Lavender MRT to MBS
Saaame. When lockdown ended I immediately packed my bag to go outside of town, staying in a remote hotel surrounded by a river & forest. It makes me appreciate nature. Like I literally smile so wide seeing trees! LOL. It never happened before covid
Been a while since i cycled at ECP last time and your video made me wanna do that ;)
yeah many years ago a young couple was attacked by unknown assailants at that tower. they were both stabbed but only the guy survived.
Ghib-san, so nice to see you in a video with a friend. Can you make more videos like these so we can learn what other foreigners think of Singapore and their views and perspective of everyday life. 😁
Can see you are trying your best to learn some Chinese and dialect. Thumps up for the effort! Like watching your videos and how you appreciate Singapore. Also Alex and you are just 2 very nice guys!
Mother-in-law: Hao Jiu Bu Jian
Ghib when meeting James: Hao Chu Pi Chu~!
James: (?_?);;
Hi Ghib-san, tweak your opening greetings phrase to 'Jit-pun Kia Lai Liao" - would sound more localised.....LOL.
You should try cycling in the opposite direction all the way to Bedok Jetty or Changi Point Ferry Terminal etc.
I miss Hokkaido as well. Seafood and powder snow skiing at niseko
I saw you filminggg!! But I didn’t say hii omg my regrets 😫
Honestly, my “goodbye” in Hokkien is bye bye. Lol 😂
It is called cable ski. I tried it once, and it was tiring. My arms were swollen for a week.
What else locals like to do? Shop in air-conditioned malls, eat at hawker centre /coffee shops, go JB and travel overseas (can't travel overseas now :
How to beat you got me cracking up 😂
Cable ski at the cable park. Singapore Wake Park SWP
8:58 is indeed haunted, there is a story that has been circulating in Singapore for a long time now
Hope your Taiwanese friend James do get a Singaporean wife too!BTW,is he still single? 😛😁
Go get him tiger
@@limxuanyi5398 lol
The yellow mini tower is called amber beacon, it is rumor to be haunted
Cycle the other way u can reach sengkang or sportshub.
You can ride to Coney island.
In austria we would call that a wakeboard/water ski lift
its interesting how a simple bike ride from east coast to mbs can garner so many views 😂👏🏻👍🏻
Ghib-San, you and James make a fine duo for future adventure /exploration trips. Might come in handy if you spot the mystery lady with long black hair over her face near the yellow tower😱
If someone says,"You can meh?" (dismissively at you)
You reply, "Can lah."
It is to reassure him that you can do it.
in the army, we march that route (and longer) with full load
Go east coast to see east coast plan
You can check out the Japanese Cemetery in Serangoon North. Quiet little park in a private housing estate. Some of the early Japanese settlers are buried there, including a "famous" person. 😉
Ghib-san, you need to drop James' instagram
James has a nice bike.
Very smart of you to never for once touched on SG politics, throughout the whole elections period. Even though you've married a local and staying with a local family, should be a real hot topic during that time. Instead, you focused on introducing historical places, different worship places, hidden gems around SG, and of course local foods to your local and international viewers. Good job, think most of your local viewers will welcome you to become one of us one of these days.
James is cute ☺️
I cycle the same route at least twice a week, the view is nice but can get VERY crowded on weekends. Cyclists, joggers and people walking their dogs - just be careful and check your rear for road bikes (like the one that whizzed by you near the bridge)
East coast park is a great place for blind dates
hao Chu pi Chu reminded me of azunyan macchu picchiu?
Hmm...maybe i should try walking there too🤣
“Hao chu pi chu” 🤣🤪🤣 (I can’t speak any better but know enough to know it was still hilarious).
“Lau sai”!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤪
you should have done a cohesive ending with... sore dewa ojisan zhao liao.
Restaurants may be open, but live music still not alllowed during P2.
Can lah means anything can do or also can.
I think its called wakeboarding..
Your Taiwanese friend is cute 🤭 both you boys are the cuties.
do not go to the yellow tower at night...
Evening too. Close to 730pm it will look really eerie.
Glib San can speak more Singlish liao. - “Can Liao, Can Meh, Can Hor, Can Loh, Can Leh, Can Lah, Can Woh, Can Mah” Aiyah! “Can Boh? Can Can” Got many more way to say “Can Siah.”! Aiyoh! Enough Can Liao Lah!
his wife is Singaporean. So not surprising.
might i add: can one.
Second Nature I cannot say Dowan, It’s this Wan and not that One.
Hope you can speak in Hokkien sometime soon. Lao Sai is a good start
The haunted Changi Hospital is now deserted, not the one that people go for treatment now.
I see that your East Coast plan has gone well 😉
LOLLL
