Great ideas! Love the simplicity of the engraver program. I'll def look more into that product! Thanks for another great video🤘🏼
The Wecreat Vision is definitely my recommendation for a first laser.
I enjoy all your videos and appreciate all your work Brother. I love your ideas. I bought a couple of items from your list. Will be getting a few other things in another week. Thanks again.
Awesome! Thank you! As alway, if there is a particular subject you would like to see covered feel free to shoot an email!
This is great!
Thanks
great advice as always
Glad it was helpful!
Thank You Steve for this idee, especially the Dollar Tree $5 cutting boards. Instead of the baking measurements. I used frilly lines, and their last name. The ladies Love it.
Yes, once you conquer the process, you can put anything there you want. People love customization.
Man soooooo many ideas.
Hopefully I helped inspire some of them
great video thanks
You bet
Good information
Thanks
Thanks.
You're welcome
Thanks for another great video Steve. Would you possibly do a video showing how to export a LightBurn project and import it into the software provided by WeCreat? I understand it is possible to do that, but not work directly in LightBurn. Any inside scoop on whether native LB support is coming? Thanks again.
Hi Thomas. I can do that. It’s not too hard
thanks for the video, cant wait for mine, question, what program do you use to make your video's?
I use Davinci Resolve. You should join our weekly ShopTalk livestream - you can ask these sorts of questions to 4 different CZcamsrs.
One of these days I'll get around to creating a CZcams studio setup video🤔
Love❤
Thanks!
Looking forward to the arrival of our WeCreat! Great information.
I hope you love it.
I cant wait to start making some money with laser.
It’s rewarding but can be hard work to get going.
Nice assortment of starter projects to get you talking to folks!
How’s the fume extractor on acrylic? I don’t think you had tested that on the previous video.
You didn't stick around to the end of the video where I covered the fume extractor in a bit more detail 😈. At any rate it seems to work pretty well on acrylic. This wasn't a huge job, but I didn't get a whiff of plastic as I was doing this.
@@SteveMakesEverything Snap! Yes I left at the end of the cutting boards…that was the best example I had seen on bamboo! Had to go watch the last 5 min 🤦🏻♀
@@dian3145 I was impressed with the bamboo board, too. It came out way better than I expected, and for a $5 investment, the value-add is pretty good.
This is what I’m talking about. I need to invest in a laser.
Welcome to the black hole for time and money 😉 … but lots of fun too!
where do you find your acrylic a for the garden stakes
Look for an online supplier. Amazon is certainly one place but you’re better to look for someone like engraving-supply.com or other volume seller
wow.. for items that are so small..
Yep, sometimes money comes from the simplest projects
What is the price point you use for the cutting boards and dog tags
Are you asking about the selling price or the material price? The selling price would vary wildly depending of you country, currency and general market conditions
I am really considering the WeCreat. I have never seen the digital test grid allowing you to visually choose settings. How accurate is it to a test grid?
I find the built-in test grids are bang on for the materials they list. You can of course do your own material tests if you need to, but the built-ins are a real timesaver
@@SteveMakesEverything If you did your own is it possible to save them as the built ins?
@@daleplant5275 You can save material tests in Lightburn for sure. I'm not sure about Wecreat Makeit though because I typically use standard materials with that and use their built-in settings.
@@SteveMakesEverything Thanks
Where did you get the file for the cutting board conversion?
I made it
@@SteveMakesEverything Great job; It is unique.
@@terrytharrett9033 Thanks
Are yiu willing to share? ;-) or sell on Etsy?
Which setting for the dog tag please? I tried to engrave an aluminum box but it didn't engrave. I'm sure my settings are wrong 😂 Thank you
I just picked this setting from the MakeIt material list I believe. Regardless you can probably go with something like 90% power and 400mm/min. That would certainly trigger some engraving.
Thank you so much, last question, what about the number of passes?
@@algerienaucanada Just one. Those tags engrave fairly easily. If you are still seeing color where you engraved, then slow it down until it looks good.
@@SteveMakesEverything Much appreciated. I will give it a try.
Good video and three good items. I bought a bamboo cutting board from the DollarTree and put a conversion table on it to give to my wife. She liked the idea but she didn't like the smell. I'll either have to switch to a non-bamboo board or see if there is a way to eliminate the smell. Any comments or suggestions are welcome here.
I use bamboo quite often, I let the bamboo air for a long time. Most of the time, the smell will mostly dissappear in a few days to max about a week. I do this before I put finish on them of course.
Per Kevin’s comment air them out. The ones I use don’t seem to have any smell though, so maybe it’s just the brand.
Note that there is no special requirement to use bamboo. Use whatever wooden boards you can find that will ensure you make money.
@@kevinrvanputten It's been sitting for a week in my 'testing' box. I'll check it out. Thanks for the note.
I have questions on the program for projects. Can you use your own designs with the wecreat?
Absolutely. I used my own designs for all of the projects here. You can drag an image or SVG file from your computer into Wecreat MakeIt and it should render. You will have to resize it and position it manually through.
