    Lads are going back to the earlier models in droves, Peter - we're getting in 01 -04 models that nobody would have considered repairing in previous years, ones in absolute tatters as loads have had their fill of fixing the newer ones constantly & now prefer running the older, simple versions, even if it means doing big bodywork.
    One came in today you'd laugh at - thin air everywhere, but running like a top - owner runs a fleet, wants it fixed. New ones are breaking his heart apparently.. Common story for me to hear these days.

      Running like a dream after 20 years & lads struggling to keep 4 or 5 year old one going, it’s all gone stupid James

      I just gave up a 2010 Mazda 3 for a 2016 Mazda 3. Kinda wish I'd stuck with the 10. Better handling and an engine that didn't skip a beat in 10 years and 160 k miles.

      Very true. Mazda 6 are really nice drive. But would never risk buying one, too many potential problems. To be honest I wouldn't know what to buy these days, so carry on with my 98 civic for now.@@kennedysgarage3281

    Rather you than me Peter. I’m a VAG guy through and through but I don’t mind Mercs; not that 2.1 though. There’s been quite a lot of Mercs in my family over the years. My Father in-law had a 2012 E-Class with that 2.1 engine and I eventually advised him to get rid of it. Who did he sell it to?; my brother in-law 🙄. Take it from me kids, if you want a Mercedes diesel, get a V6 😉

    Just wandering if replacing the intake manifold solved the problem? Or did client came back? Some say it could be the vacuums. I have the same error code.

    I have changed manifold as I thought it was due to leak there but after another diagnostic I did get error code P063878 which refers to throttle malfunction , do you think throttle reset may solve the issue whether I need to change the body?

  • @matejgr.8879
    @matejgr.8879 Před 8 měsíci +2

    You need to go to engine control module then special setting and then intake port shutoff teach in learning....Not throttle valve teach in.
