Harry and Meghan aren't considered "royal" in America. No American will think they deserve any type of special treatment simply because Harry is King Charles' son. Many Americans respect the royal family because we generally respect the UK as a country and therefore respect their traditions. We can easily appreciate them as a modern institution that tries to act as a force for good in the world. Americans give respect to exceptionally talented people no matter where they come from. I'm sure there are many people who will vouch that from before the wedding, Harry's wife was pitching for work and setting up contracts in LA from day one. So no-one 'made them leave'.

Harry and Meghan aren't considered "royal" in America. No American will think they deserve any type of special treatment simply because Harry is King Charles' son. Many Americans respect the royal family because we generally respect the UK as a country and therefore respect their traditions. The BRF is part of American history though we do not pledge loyalty or fealty (or whatever you want to call it). We can easily appreciate them as a modern institution that tries to act as a force for good in the world. Americans give respect to exceptionally talented people no matter where they come from. Harry and Meghan constantly try to put their faces in front of the American people, but they don't actually do anything to deserve attention much less accolades. I was the only black woman working at a all Asian business office and I was asked a lot of questions about myself and my race, so my grown children and my best friend who is white said they are just curious and are not racist so answer their questions so they can learn about your race and don't feel offended. Our press is very skewed toward the liberal agenda most Hollywood celebrities espouse, and does not represent the grassroots attitudes of the vast majority of conservative citizens who still value honesty, integrity, hard work, and responsible ownership of their own actions - things we can admire in your beautiful Catherine. Do not slight us by thinking Hollywood celebrities and the press reflect the average American. We are as disgusted by many of them as we are of M&H. I know you don’t want those two, but neither do we!!!!

Since last week I found out Interesting -- On two occasions (one her podcast Archetypes) This One's Wife has spoken about her love of Archie Comics when she was a teen. Did you know there is a character in the Archie comic books called Katy Keene? (can't make this up) AND Scooby Doo has called Princess Catherine “Katie Keen,” (different spelling) in his Endgame book. Here is a description of the comic book character: Katy Keene, a character created by Bill Woggon, has appeared in several comic book series published by Archie Comics since 1945. She is a model/actress/singer known as America's Queen of Pin-Ups and Fashions.

As an American - I can tell you that the majority of Americans don’t give a toss about “royalty”, find the entitlement nauseating. So the fact that this red headed “son” goes about making demands is just ludicrous. The most common comment it “that’s why we fought a war of independence” we didn’t want a family in charge, whom was untitled by birth and acted so horribly. Can you imagine what kind of king the ginger one would have been ? In the US we’ve always valued the rags to riches, the work ethic, and are mostly intolerant of the entitled indulged. Of which Harry is.
Others of us, respect the royal family and thought QE was wonderful. And admire the hard working William and Kate.
But to be honest that statement about Americans is insulting. We aren’t some dumb lot of second cousins

I am an American citizen (latin by birth) married to an English man that does not care for the Royals. I personally love them and the English our mother land. Please don't judge all Americans as narcissistic and frivolous. Must of us either do not care for the Markles drama or if we do care we do not like what the Markles are doing to his and her family. Its disgusting and we as Americans do not like the way the son treats his father.
I'm glad that the RF is experienced in playing the long game. Because M&H are just getting started.

Keep Calm and Carry On RF! as for the US, Look how Prince William was welcomed by delighted crowds in New York, he was voted the most popular person, over our own President - a week later, no one showed up for yet another Harold and wife self-promotion.
