Not only was the public treated to a new video of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle this week, there was also a series of articles in People magazine documenting their Hollywood travails. In the opinion of the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden, it was just a chance for those close to the pair to make excuses for their failings. ‘Frankly I found it quite hilarious. It’s all these excuses for why things didn’t work out with Spotify,’ he tells Palace Confidential.

Yes People magazine does support Harry and Meghan that’s why I don’t read it anymore. I have also had a subscription to Hello Canada since they first went to print. I will not be renewing it because they favour the Harkells when they write about them. Some reporters and editors still don’t want to see the truth.

I don’t see William being ready for anything close to forgiveness for some time. Unless those two divorce, Harry isn’t ever living in the UK again so I don’t see that William feels there is much need of him even making the effort. As for Hollywood, I think Meghan thought her new status would buy her onto the red carpet but it definitely hasn’t worked out that way. They aren’t much popular and Serena just had her baby shower conspicuously absent Meghan. If anyone has any illusions that Meghan has some previously unrevealed talent or even that she has the actual willingness to make the effort, I think those illusions are bound to be in error.
AFAIK it's Harry who wants an apology from the RF, for their racism mainly but all the other "slights" cast upon him and Nutmeg up until when they left. H&M will never (IMO) apologize because they don't think they've done anything wrong.

I'm baffled by the continuing interest in Harry. Millions of people do voluntary charity work without getting publicity. A mountain of work done by the Royal Family doesn't get noticed by the press. Harry's goal seems to be getting publicity which is contrary to true charity. There's nothing interesting to me about Harry and his nuclear family. May they live in peace and stop barging into coverage of the Royal Family, which I believe they left.

I think too much enphasis is being put on how many houses the Royals own. It personally doesn't bother me and good for them. A lot of these properties are being rented out and I like the idea of opening the Royal houses to the public. It's much ado about nothing.
They own two properties, Balmoral in Scotland and Sandringham in Norfolk, England. Both were purchased by Queen Victoria and have been handed down monarch to monarch, the grounds are large and have other properties built on them both for the family and for staff - just like Monteciro has a pool house and a guest house and a cottage or something and they only have 8 acres.

Some of the cottages on both estates are available for rental for us commoners. And there are lots of members in the Royal Family including siblings, aunts and uncles, cousins, grandchildren who also make use of the properties. I think they’re caretakers of these historical properties. And what dies this have to with the Duke and Duchess of Montecito? They can own and purchase whatever properties they wish.

Richard hit the nail on the head with the new video Harry and Meghan put out. Why on earth would they have the one young woman acting absolutely giddy to be talking to them? If anything was cringe worth it was that. It is obvious they want to portray themselves as superstars or they would not have allowed that staged reaction to occur. This does not look good for them and if they have this high powered PR firm, why would they have made this huge mistake?

Many of these properties are personal property of the Royal Family. What they do with them and/or where and what they do with them is no ones business but their own. Many people here in the States have multiple homes and do not let the public tell them what to do with them or where and when they go there. Nit picking everything and every facet of the Royals lives is getting tedious.

I agree, it’s as if they have no right to any private life, or they should be accountable to the British public for everything they own, they are entitled to there privacy and life, which has nothing to do with anybody else. They have two private properties - Balmoral in Scotland and Sandringham in Norfolk, England. Both have extensive grounds and they have various private houses IN the grounds themselves - just like many many houses in the US have a pool house which puts up visitors or another little guest house on the property, same thing. They were originally purchased by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert and are the ONLY two properties which are privately owned. Everything else is in the ownership of the crown estates whose income goes to the government with any extra profits going to the PEOPLE/CITIZENS of the UK - 250 million last year in fact if I remember the figures correctly.

The only thing they seem to "do" is give the odd speech,video. You dont see them out and about, you know getting their hands dirty so to speak. Harry and his wife just aren't needed in the philanthropic world. They are more concerned about their own finances than anyone elses, and have gone to horrible extremes to get their funds. I notice in particular the difference in how Richard and Victoria refer to the King and Queen. The older, more correct and respectful Richard Eden refers to King Charles and Queen Camilla. His younger counterpart, on the other hand, consistently said "Charles and Camilla." Is this a sign of a lack of respect generally from the younger generation?

I am so sick & tired of the everyday attention given to the harkles. I will never forgive them for treating the Queen & Prince Phillip so terrible. I think they are constantly trying to bring our attention to their current thoughts, etc. so we will forget how horrible they really are. I do not foresee Prince William ever allowing them back. M threatened HIS family. That’s why they were thrown out of Frogmore. I also don’t see KC going against the Prince on this. Why would he give up his wonderful relationship with William, Catherine and their three children for two brown recluse spiders?
If the Royal Family privately own all the properties, I don't see why they can't just keep them, they are part of the Royal History going back many generations. You cant just throw away that sort of history!
