    I'm sorry to say I no idea Newport had such a significant history - it beggars belief that NCC have managed to ignore it's history & significance - in fact they have managed to ruin the city - poor planning - poor street cleaning - poor verge keeping and much more!

    Might I point out, Monmouthshire only became part of Wales around about 1956. It was NOT legally, a part of Wales, until the 1970`s. By the way, I was born on the Gaer in 1950.
