I thought letting teams earn points for each win in masters might be better, but then the teams that arent going to masters get disadvantaged way too much. @@sai_Indurthino it's only for stage 1 and stage 2 I think. I think it's fine because if you went to any masters and dug deep, you're kinda set for the rest of the year which is not good and fair for the teams that didn't make it.
I think they did this because of teams like C9 last year. They had a great season last year but failed to qualify at last match. But atleast in americas they were consistent in the regular season.

its not about playing to win 2nd place, the fact that Riot isnt planning on rewarding the teams hard work when they place 2nd really sucks
