Can you play B aeolian too over this? Sounds fine to me, especially in some sections

Yes over the second part because of the G9 which suggests B aeolian.

I played the B natural minor scales over the entire song and it sounded great imo

@@colemantrebor6574 mh during the chords the G doesn’t really work imho, G# sounds much better. On the chorus on the other hand you can play aeolian.

A B minor blues scale works well over that chord and also over the F#7#9.
