you went deep into east orange and didn't cover half of Irvington. still a fun drive though.
Lol no one knows their way around North Jersey 🙄
Near my old neighborhood! I lived on Isabella in Newark right near the edge of Irvington.
That's my old neighborhood! I love this moved from their just 2 Yeats ago but it looks really different!
This video was more in the Oranges than actual Irvington lol
I grew up right there! You started off on Vermont Avenue and right past my old house (271). Then to 18th Avenue, past St. Leo’s church to Madison Ave. I went to Madison Avenue School when it was the old 1914 building! I’m going back 65 years!
Oh my God, I happened to look at this and the driver went down Myrtle Ave., right past the house I grew up in. It still looks the same. I moved away 50 years ago and never returned. I have good memories of Irvington. It was very safe back them, sad to see the stores with those pull down metal shields.
I know it was so safe back when I lived in the city of Newark and I used to go to Irvington to the theater the movie theater and walk around the stores and everything and I was young then what has happened to these cities in the United States I just don't know why it went from being a clean livable safe environment to what it looks like someone is to blame
As bad as it can be this town/city is def one of those towns that could be considered a hidden gem as a it’s an “missing middle”/ semi-suburban city which combine both aspects of a city and a suburb. The only thing missing is a train line or a light rail but aside from that it has a great potential for redevelopment. Hopefully in the upcoming years this town can be resorted to what it was as Newark is slowly going a restoration.
It'll happen. Every time my grandparents talk about when they first moved here people called it bougie 😂
This was a wonderful town now you cant even walk a block, always hoped it would get back to a great place to live.
Well when you see a couple of black boys trying to push people (venerable too :( ) onto on coming traffic. There's just a point of no return. I grew up here but always tried to avoid the communities and stayed within school grounds. So far still alive and trying to get out asap.
Go down Grove Street be fore you get to the old Pabst brewery
👍🏽👍🏽
