I backed this one the first time around and I will back it again. Thanks DJ for another great video!

I agree with your feelings about kickstarter. It's a shame that the bigger publishers (who probably don't need it at this point) drown out the up and coming projects.

@@TheDungeonDive You're an awesome advocate and friend for us little guys. I'm rooting hard for Forgotten Depths - looks so unique, beautiful and indie in all the right ways.

This is exactly my point on crowd funding. The RPG industry has fallen into the rabbit hole too.

Hybban who are the larger companies that have taken over the space in the RPG realm?

White Wolf distributes everything though CF. In Europe, big companies with big licenses use CF to to fund big licence (Ulysses Spiele, Black Box, for example). It detracts buyers from spending money on great project. Like the one you've shown today and that I'd love to get!

Seeing the key tokens and the symbols on the dungeon tile cards, I had a brief flashback of the Atari 2600 game, Adventure.

I remember when we posted about the launching of the game on Solitaire Times (solo board games news website). It had received negative criticism by a video reviewer for being extremely random. He felt there was no luck mitigation and everything was just blind card draws. I'm not sure if this led to the game's 'demise' but it certainly didn't help. Let's hope it will do better next time.

I can see that criticism being leveled at something like Shadows of Brimstone, but not this.

I missed this overview of this game somehow. It has a very unique look to the art style, like a good graphic novel. I would be interested in buying it whenever it comes up again, but the problem is i never have time to keep up with all the kickstater stuff constantly, and so i just miss when something i would actually find attractive is available for the limited time as i almost always find out about it too late.
I finally saw the "bone" shape symbol on the cards edge that ya have to match together to satisfy the linking sets for the puzzle game; seems that it would be difficult to be able to make many matches linking sets as i didn't see very many of the half bone symbols on cards that you did show. Seemed like too many dead ends also, which would lead to a lot of boring outcomes perhaps.

Nice vid and it’s great to use your platform to highlight/help a game in this stage. I’m not a kickstarter person but what you say about it rings true from an observer’s standpoint. It’s a shame, really.
As to this game: Art that’s there is fabulous and I appreciate your putting it in the context of some books. I tried to hunt down the Moorcock series but it seems not so easy to find. Will keep at that.
I’m not 100% convinced on card combat (in any game) but I will keep my eye on this one and hope it develops. IMO part of the problem is the game’s name: it’s generic and forgettable and doesn’t speak to buyers who will suck up anything with the word “dungeon” in it.

I'm not 100% sold on some of the mechanisms either, but I appreciate it doing something different, and I think (based on the shape of things so far) that he will be able to pull it all together.

Was really tempted by this one, the price is excellent, but ultimately I passed. I’m really intrigued by the idea of a card driven DC, but the closest I can find to bring something I think I’d really enjoy is Iron Helm - played that one?

Funny that you love an all female art direction. As a male that totally ruins it for me.. I can't identify with it. To each their own.

I thought it was nice to see, I don't care just make my character bad ass. I wouldn't mind an expansion one day with a wizard for a 4th character though. 3 players are usually the best for interaction and downtime balance but we most often end up playing with 4 to 5 people. Would be nice to get a 4th character in play
