    "I was born in Plantagenia. My father served under General Rouilles and fought against the Aragonese-Italians. I moved to the Confederacy with the rest of my family after he died in battle. Years later, i marched home as a liberator, and my efforts made me an officer. I served in the Sicilian and African campaigns as my hair started to turn gray. Now, I rest on my porch here in central Arcadia, with Italian scalps decorating my windowsill"

    I really like the idea of travelling through the dismal, wintry swamps of the Arcadian hinterlands and happening upon a man too dapper to really belong there; he introduces himself as Philippe-Joseph as he smiles broadly. He starts regaling you of his tales from the military, stories of battles won and continental camaraderie as he slowly grows quieter, misty eyed looking over the sticky mud and reeds beyond. He starts to talk about a lifetime of service to his people, the Arcadian people, and to his men, men who he watched fall and die all over the vast nation of Arcadia in a time before the Union. Being a foreigner you know little of the nation's history and listen contentedly, as he tells of his last battle making peace where he thought none could be found. He talks about a trip to heaven where he found himself not surrounded once again by his friends, but alone, told that his friends couldn't join for having died in violence. You turn your head towards a cracking in the brush as he continues, saying he offered himself up as a worldly guide for the future if the Lord would allow his men one last march onwards. You turn back to see only empty space now, confused and disheartened, as though you've lost a great friend, unsure if you'd been daydreaming or mesmerized by the less than appealing countryside here. You continue on, though, your steps just a bit lighter, feeling the paternal watch of a great man you never knew at your back.

    This series has so much quality in it I enjoyed all the way through! It's a great story as a whole and with the ultimate hard-fought victory is so satisfying. Everything in this is so well put together, the movie scenes, the edited photos, and main characters I guess are so cool. You deserve so much more attention on this platform dude, Keep it up! Unless you don't want to.

    What an excellent series-and a surprisingly hopeful end. I guess immense bloodshed can diminish even the worst human rivalries and pave the path to peace. Can't wait to see what comes next, spudgun!

    This was probably the best series in your channel so far.
    Full character arcs;
    Climaxes;
    Funny and sad moments;
    Side characters with their own intriguing aspects;
    And vengeance for Plantagenia and Qingqiu at the end.
    Your videos are likely the best piece of Victoria 2 content on the internet (outside of the actual game and mods).

    As the Arcadians occupied sicyly, the warcrimes commited were unimaginable, rape, murder and general destruction were commonplace, but by far the worst thing that happened, was the "bloodbath of palermo", Arcadian soldiers n a blind rage seized all sulfur mined on sicily and brought it into important buildings of Palermo, and afterwards setting the whole city ablaze, in memory of this moment, all aragonese-italian sulfur mines close on the 3rd of December. Palermo was left a smouldering ruin after the war, with over half of the population displaced or dead.

    Spud you make the best and most entertaining videos, you really make it a story, I actually felt the despair and the joy of this campaign, and the memes and the jokes made it enjoyable but also made the culture for this campaign. I've noticed you're only getting better and I'm so happy for you, and I'm happy I get to watch your content.
