    Man, if it were $199, it would be super tempting, but at $100 less than the steamdeck starter price they were going to launch at, it's a hard sell... at $350, that's a nope.

      The Steam Deck can even use many of the cloud gaming services. Plus, if for whatever reason you don't have a stable 5Ghz wifi connection while on the go, you can still play Elden Ring on a Steam Deck at 30fps with a decent experience.

    I own a G Cloud and a steam deck and for cloud gaming I much prefer the G Cloud. The battery life is 12 hours, it's light, the screen is vivid, and the sound is crisp and loud. The steam deck is still a great deal and if you had to choose one system I would suggest the base model steam deck.

      I have a dilemma which one to choose. I'm worried about dpad that it's hard to do diagonal in Gcloaud and in steam deck that if I play quietly without a headset the fan will be loud. Can you tell which one is better?

    • @ericjohnson5531
      @ericjohnson5531 Před rokem +4

      @@vilgevorcblack6178 Personally I never found the D pad difficult to use although it all comes down to what the player is used to and what they expect out of it. As for which system is better I think it comes down to your use case. If you're focused on emulation and cloud play then I recommend the G Cloud. If you want Steam OS and ability to run steam games locally then I recommend the Steam Deck. Can't really go wrong with the steam deck but in certain cases the G Cloud is just better.

      I watched almost all CZcams reviews. Very confused about some comments. Many people do not understand why and for what we use the G Cloud. It is not a Steam Deck and not want to be. Who wants to play on the run needs always a great WiFi or GSM signal. If you not get a strong GSM signal and not own an unlimited data plan no DEVICE can stream in HD any content, games or movie. A phone is still a phone. Incoming call... game stopped. Those controllers does not make your phone a gaming device and cost if good one almost same like a 2nd hand G Cloud. In my case i never want my phone be blocked from calling at all. WiFi in public transport in Germany LOL. I use my G Cloud 90% at home. When I leave the house I am to busy to play. Hotel WiFi are mostly bad for any device. A good price for the G Cloud and it will be half the price of a Steam Deck. Bigger, better screen, not getting warm, better battery, weight !?Outside my home I have retro games and android games. The mobile phone is with me anyway.

    The most comprehensive and fair review of this device I've seen so far, nice work! I hope that Logitech can fix some of these issues with updates in the future. The Steam Deck introduced me to cloud gaming / remote play after trying to run some games that had trouble natively, and the G Cloud has been a much better experience for that so far. I have a bit of a collection and the retroid pocket 2+ and the retroid pocket 3 were my go to but since buying the logitech G cloud, it is the only device for me. When it comes to retro gaming, the screen and comfort are just so far above the rest. (Other than the steamdeck). Battery life is amazing and when you combine this with the Daijisho front end, it is just so slick. I do however agree with price being a bit high but for me just to have an amazing N64 hand held, it is worth it.

    I think doing combos is harder on right side of the d-pad from all the feedback I've seen.
    I think the reason you were having an easier time pulling off combos during filming is because you're on the right side of the screen doing a hadoken.
    I think from that side, you should have tried a hurricane kick to see if that would register well.
    The best way to test would be to compare the success rates of a hurricane kick,hadoken and dragon punch from either side of the screen.

    Easily the most balanced review of the hardware/software capabilities so far. The price is just a killer on it's own. The lack of video out makes this a non starter for me from the off, even at half the price. I liked the comment about other Chinese handhelds getting passes from others where they should not. Also glad to see a more balanced comparison with the AYN Neo rather than the Steam Deck, which is actually north of $500 when shipping and import duties for a great many, whereas this will be available across the globe with only delivery a potential additional cost. Warranty will be easier for returns too.

    I feel like this should have been a $199 device. Directly comparing it to something like the Retroid Pocket 3 and the Odin, this fits somewhere in there. Given that the screen is better and performance is an increase over the RP3, we can justify an increase in price there, but the lack of optimization of the processor's performance it doesn't get to stand too close to the Odin. The Odin's SD845 is a sweet spot for performance that is hard to beat I'm this current market.

    There are a lot of issues with this package. The biggest one being that you can get a budget smartphone with a 720g (samsung a52 for example) and a Razer Kishi brand new for less than this and it has all the added versatility of being a phone. Considering all the stuff this device doesn't have and doesn't do and the relatively low end specs they really should be charging like half as much for it. If this was offered by Nvidia or Microsoft on like a subsidy program (like agree to a three year sub to the streaming service get the device on us) it'd make a ton of sense. The PC handhelds are all too big/thick and all the other android handhelds screens are too small. We need a new G Cloud with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or better, would be perfect.

    This is often priced more than a Switch OLED, which is crazy to me. This is a gaming accessory to Game Pass, PS (even though you need a 3rd party app) and Steam etc, not a console in itself. If this was priced around £150, it would have been such a great option. I get you can run emulators, however if your main selling point is it can play pirated games, you've missed the mark with it.
