  • I've been trying to find a new computer, with some hits and some misses. FINALLY, I found one that works great, performs well, and doesn't slap my wallet around! This is the one I'm keeping! I have mine dual booted with Windows 11 and Linux Mint 21.1 and they both work great running 3 monitors! When I compare this Beelink SER5 to a Minisforum NAB5 and Trigkey S5 5800H Mini PC, this one has the fewest problems and best performance! If you want to pick one up, click the following link to get this puppy!

Leave a comment if you have a question! I actually will respond :)
    Pros:
    - Pretty fast for a tiny thing!
    - Fan comes on, but doesn't always stay on.
    - Very small!
    - GPU actually has some umph to it (NAB5 lacked a little)
    - Plays online games with 60fps just fine.
    - Crucial Brand RAM and NVMe by default
    - No weird glitchy monitor issues (NAB5 and Trigkey S5)
    - No weird "wake" issues (more Trigkey than NAB5)
    - No weird sound issues (Trigkey yikes, and a little of NAB5)
    - Actually have a decent support forum you can search (Minisforum has a nice forum, Trigkey as of today has nothing, so much so that I created trigkeyhelp.com myself)
    Cons:
    - I don't love that the USB C is up front. I'd rather it be in back so I don't always have a 3rd monitor cord sticking out the front.
    - The NAB5 could have 4 monitors, and this one only has 3 which I knew going into it.
    - I had to buy a USB 3 hub cause I didn't want to have some USB stuff up in the front.
    Specs:
    - AMD 5800H 8 core/16 thread Processor
    - 512 Crucial PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe SSD Drive (upgradeable to 2TB)
    - 16GB Crucial RAM (I upgraded to 32GB, but upgradable to 64GB)
    - 1 HDMI Port (4k)
    - 1 DisplayPort (4k)
    - 1 USB C (4k display, Data, and Power)
    - 3 USB 3.1 Ports
    - 1 USB 2 Port
    - 3.5 MM Headphone Jack
    - 1 RJ45 1Gbit Port
    - 1 AC Adapter Port
    - Spot for internal 2.5" drive
    In the Box:
    - Computer (duh)
    - AC Adapter (19V 3.42 amp 64.98 W)
    - 1 Super short HDMI cable
    - 1 3' HDMI Cable
    - VESA mount and screws
    Performance:
    - CPU Geekbench browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/...
    - GPU Geekbench browser.geekbench.com/v6/comp...
    - Crystal Diskmark (HD Performance) flic.kr/p/2oR1XMj
    * Yeah yeah, if you click the Amazon link and buy something I might get compensated.

Thank you so much for this video!
I bought this PC as an upgrade from my first ever PC.
When buying it, one of the allures of it for me was the fact that it was "easy to upgrade" according to comments and manufacturer.
I really want to delve into the hardware of computers and learn more about it, so this was an easy choice for me...
Unfortunately, I couldn't quite figure out how to open the PC and I didn't want to damage the internal hardware... so thank you much for making this video and showing me how, along with other avid learners, to do it exactly - as it was very useful!

Thank You. A great help to me in installing my Linux NVME, swapping out the installed NVME.

I have a SER5 PRO w/32GB RAM. I added a 1TB HDD along with 2 USB Expansion Hubs. I use the hubs because I use a wireless keyboard and mouse. I also set it up dual monitors.

I wonder why they removed the outer cover of the NvMe drive. I believe it is there to dissipate some heat.

I just bought the lower power Beelink version of this with the 5560U as I wanted really low power consumption (going to solar) and ordered it on special on amazon for just $245 (for 16GB 1TB version). Can't wait to get it. Looks like you've been having some fun with it, could you maybe make a followup video with your experiences after using it for a few months ?

borrows from RAM ? I wonder if you are talking about swap memory, if thats the case then thats mapped to the harddrive.

      No it’s not swap cause that’s what I thought too! It’s a real thing I promise! windowsreport.com/fix-less-ram-than-installed/
