I'm going to do this with my dad's truck when I get the chance to. I'll be playing some of the songs by Moonshine Bandits and we're going to blast it.

I did all of this and it worked but it won’t let me play my music unless my phone is plugged in.
I have an aftermarket Boss cd/dvd player in my 2012 Silverado Crew Cab LT. The button to turn on bluetooth doesnt turn on bluetooth due to it being aftermarket. Here's how it worked for me. Make sure power is on to the unit. Go to the bluetooth streaming of your stereo. Then go to the bluetooth setting on your phone and turn on bluetooth and then refresh the bluetooth devices. Mine showed up as Boss. Select that and a message will pop up saying enter radio pin. It said 0000 or 1234. The 1234 didnt work so I tried 0000 and it connected my phone to the radio and I started playing pandora through it. The Boss BV9695B Widescreen Touchscreen is the model of Boss Touchscreen DVD player I have installed. Pretty nice setup.

I couldn't even get mine to work. All that button did on mine was Mute. But if no music can be played, it's pointless to try either way lol

I have the same issue, 2013 silverado and it does not activate voice command, that button just acts as mute… please let me know if you have figured it out. Thanx
@@lets-find-out nah i didn't, seems like a common issue with a lot of owners, i think the car comes from the factory this way
@@anasku2781 maybe the voice command option or bluetooth is not available in our trucks but they have used the same buttons with voice command sign on..

how about 2011 silverado
I am able to setup phone / dial out but inside I only hear crackling noise instead of phone ringing crackling instead of someones voice, why? Can someone help me? My wife is able to hear me fine though but I cannot hear her.
