IT TAKES ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES TO GET ANY COOL AIR. TEMPERATURE DOESN'T FLUCTATE BUT IT NEVER GETS REAL COOL LIKE BEFORE. NO SCENTS. A MECHANIC SAID IT MIGHT BE THE EVAPORATOR CORE LEAK. JUST HAD COMPRESSOR REPLACED. WHAT DO YOU THINK IT IS?

How much in parts and labor to have my 1997 Suzuki sidekick evaporator removed and replaced??.. guesstimate..??

depending on where you are, in Southeast Asia the cost of parts and labor is around USD 300, in India or Pakistan it might be even cheaper.

Poor air flow is a clogged cabin filter and probably a clogged evaporator.

Can a bad evaporator cause much colder air from passenger vents than driver vents? Mine does this but only at idle. Sometimes all vents blow warm at idle. At highway speeds they seem to blow cold. High low pressure low high pressure.

Mine I regard the unit and replace almost everything but not blowing enough cold air, I can see inside the engine where the hose of low pressure has very cold state with water cling in to hose when I touch, also condenser has replaced previously with another cars condenser now the condenser and the radiator has a gap around 3 inches as well. Can you explain me what could be the cause inside not much cooling, thanks

It seems like too much air is trapped in the AC system, the reason is that it was not vacuumed before filling the refrigerant + oil.
However, if you are sure that the procedure for filling the refrigerant is correct, then the problem is with the expansion valve, just try turning the compressor on and off for a short time, usually the blocked expansion valve will clear up a little, but if it persists then you need to replace the expansion valve.
