Damn, I wish so badly I would've been born WAY before I was. I was born in 1981 and by that point industries started selling out and pop culture was something different than it used to be. To me, the 80's was the decline of everything, film, music aaand so much more. I would've loved to been born about 1935 or so, so I could remember the greatest war the world's ever seen. The last time someone had a legitimate shot of taking over the world and with America in the dumps just beforehand and to emerge a super power on the other side and the culture of everything beck then seemed so far superior that now ever will. Listening to stuff like this at Christmas, listening to radio programs like Glenn Miller and others. To see so many people working together to help the troop fight the Nazis, one of the strongest and most feared armies in history. To see how badly people wanted to join up and fight. People under 18 years old lying about their age to fight bastards, what a time it had to be. The world still seemed so much larger without the internet and it HAD to be a better time in history.
