I love listening to old time radio shows such as Jack Benny, Burns & Allen, Fibber Mcgee and Molly, etc.from the latter part of the thirties because the bands were all playing swing music. Solid, brother. 😀

Also has Eddie Anderson as the elevator operator reprising his train porter bit from his first Benny show appearance.

This was fun to listen to, thank you for uploading it! I recently watched the Jack Benny TV Show from 1960 where he went Christmas shopping. Mel Blanc was laugh out loud funny as a department store clerk! Some of jokes (lingerie talk) were close to each other too, lol.

Kenny Baker:"I went over to her house last night and found another fella sitting on the sofa with her. She said it was her brother and she was kissing him." Jack Benny "Well, that's no crime. A girl can kiss her brother can't she?" Kenny Baker: "Not like that."

I recognize the voice of Dennis Day, playing Kenny and the stocking saleslady sounds like Bea Benadaret.

      +3nails3days1way Dennis replaced Kenny in 1939. tralfaz.blogspot.com/2011/11/why-kenny-baker-quit-jack-benny.html en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenny_Baker_%28American_performer%29

Yes, Kenny went on to become a regular on "THE FRED ALLEN SHOW" in the 1939-'40 season.

Bea was indeed the stocking girl she is among my favorite OTR performers she was also good at drama such as being Mrs. Cratchit in a Christmas Carol but I think she is at her best when she is the wife of Mel Blanc's tormented sales clerk in the 1954 ? Shopping episode

Kenny Baker played Kenny Baker on the show. He quit and was replaced by Dennis Day in 1939. They did sound alike but they really were two different people.

Dennis Day is not Kenny Baker.
