- What Would A 1.14 Swamp Village Look Like In Minecraft?Many new minecraft villages were added in 1.14. They are unique to the biome. Two villages have villagers, but no villages to live in, the swamp and jungle villagers. So what would a village in the swamp look like? Let's try and make one

I remember seeing a village spawned in a swamp in a creative world, it has generated on normal grass but half of it was generated in the nearby swamp. It was truly magical.

Traders Outpost (technically not a village but an Outpost where traders will visit frequently)
Refugee camp ( villagers who survived a pillager raid and made a home )

Dark oak Forest village
Bamboo village ( eastern style )
Mansion ( isn't occupied by the vindicators so its a friendly mansion )
The city is basically the end colony

Their unique clothing is one of my favorite things about the villagers.

One thing you may have overlooked when studying the villages- the _color_ of the bed.
Each village type colors their beds according to what dye/flower color can be found in that area.
For example, that's why plains villages use yellow beds. Dandelion/sunflower.
So, swamps are known for their blue orchards. These flowers give you light blue dye, so their beds should reflect that.
Explain the color of wool and beds in taiga and ice plains villages. They don’t make much sense with your flower logic.
Neither do the savanna or the desert ones.

The only way you could get white dye to make lime in the desert is by either killing skeletons or mining up fossils.
Also, I have seen cyan beds in desert villages. Is the blue dye just supposed to come from lapis?

The bell has to be reachable, so the villagers can ring it themselves in case of emergency.

@@necrobyte7451 Nope. They actually ring them when a raid is about to start. That's why they normally run into their house's when they (or you) ring the bell. Grian even mentioned it in the Video.

I actually found a naturally spawning swamp village. It was a plains village that spawned on the edge of the biome and some of the buildings crossed into the swamp biome next to it. The houses didn't look any different but some of the villagers had the swamp clothes

I’ve suggested some other ideas for new village designs. There could be Caves Villages, Mushroom Island Villages, and Badlands Villages. Aswell as the Swamp Villages you’ve already covered on this channel.

I will never understand why the generated Buildings are so weakly made. I'm no programmer but isn't it literally as easy Building and then Scanning the construct? At least AS LONG you don't desperatly want it to be randomly generated - a Thing most would surely sacrifice for more and better structures.

@@slevinchannel7589 the reason tbe buildings are simpler is because Mojang is very careful with what they add. First off, they cant use difficult blocks, like anvils, enchanment tables, brick blocks, and block entities (paintings, item frames) bc then people would strip villages instead of playing the game as intended. Next they don't want to make they're structures extravagant as players would enter them and view them as perfect, no need for improvement. This would diminish some players want to play the game as they view the world as already beyond their skill in building.

@DewDiePie and Minecrafter yeah, if they do jungle villages it will almost certainly be treehouses.... which means they'll have to add ladders and vines to Pillager pathing.... I think it'd also be cool if they added biome specific Pillagers... so while plains may have Ravagers and Crossbowmen a jungle could have some flying mob and pillagers with climbing picks or grappling hooks to get up without ladders... and if they have grappling hooks they could pull villagers or players to them, making them annoying... and the flying ones could pick villagers up and drop them
Then for swamps, they could make some kind of frog creature for their animal and have spearmen for the pillagers....
For taigas, they could have their own special wolflike creature and I can't think of how the pillagers themselves would be special....
But you get the point

I've found something very close to a natural generated swamp village once, it was this village over a swamp, it did have naturally generated swamp villagers so swamp villages might just be plains villages

I think it's still a grian style or I'm just bad at building
It's not that the people at Mojang are bad at building, I'm sure they have some very good builders at their disposal, but the villages aren't supposed to be the best buildings ever. Building awesome builds is the players job, any structures naturally generated in the world shouldn't be super high quality. Also the more complex they make the structures the greater the odds of it getting messed up when it's being procedurally generated, probably.
Once I made a survival world with my friend and after a bit of exploring, we found an oak village but it was right next to a swamp so there were half swamp villagers and half normal villagers

Interestingly, the Aztecs lived on islands in a swamp and had little farms over the water after betraying an ancient kingdom. They moved to the islands as it had a natural defence against others, so you're tiny story of the villagers living in swamps to escape pillagers is based in actual fact
