word of advice for anyone making a village in bedrock edition, be careful when making a underground village because when you win a raid they celebrate with fire works and due to the low ceiling they all kill themselves with the fireworks, dont be as dumb as me

Who knew trapdoors were the secret to village defense!
Anyone who has been playing the game for more than a year.
@@baitornot4697exactly
?
@@baitornot4697 Well... I've been playing since beta but not a single day of that have I ever given a crap about the lives of villagers. I could've known cus I knew the trapdoor trick from the oldschool goldfarms, but never even considered using it on a village cus fuckem :') So technically I didn't know.
@@baitornot4697been playing since Alpha and had no idea. Lol
I might actually incorporate trapdoors in my village wall to purposefully funnel the pillagers during a raid. Thanks for the idea!
Put water on each corner (or wherever you need it) inside the holes and make sure it doesn't go into the deepr (Farm) part, that helps out a ton
One simple question I think still needs answering: how big can you make the village before the raiders start spawning within the walls ?
Yes i would also like to know this
If you place the beds right and have them all manned by villagers than the raiders should never spawn within the walls.
I can't link the wiki else youtube will delete the comment, but go there and see the exact calculations. In a nutshell minecraft defines a village border based on the location of claimed beds, and since the raiders will always spawn a certain number of blocks outside a village border, they should never spawn within the walls if you do everything right.
And if they do spawn inside your Village, then it simply means your game hates you.
In my experience raids spawn like 100 blocks away on the other end of the village to where you are. Every. Single. Time. But that is probably an in game value that can be looked up.
@@gunslinger_844 8 or 9 medium villages
10:53 Crazy thing is that according to the sunset, that actually is the North.
It's actually really nice how respectful you are towards the villagers. Its a nice change from the other youtubers.

In medieval times most castles had a moat, most of us are familiar with the water filled moat but actually a lot of them where dry moats where very thorny plants and bushes where allowed or even encouraged to grow. Even when being a dry moat being lower in the land those moats usually where a bit muddy so the plants where green and thus hard to burn. Apart from being very uncomfortable things like chainmail really liked to get stuck in the bushes, and when people are firing arrows and crossbow bolts at you it’s gonna be a very bad time…
In Minecraft you can re-create that with those berries that hurt. Mobs usually don’t want to cross them.
Trapdoors also give you the opportunity to make a sort of drawbridge. In my castle i have a m*rderhole(yes that’s how they are called) above my doorway, and if something not nice is standing outside i can (apart from shooting at them or dropping things on them) just open up those trapdoors so mobs can’t approach the door or regret standing in front of my door. What surprises are underneath the trapdoor is up to you.
When digging moats u usually end up with a lot of dirt so I really like to basically raise the land inside the castle(sort of like a Motte and Bailey castle) at a certain height mobs don’t even notice you anymore.
I love this

@@thedictationofallah yes arrows indeed!
I smell a castle enjoyer in the chat.
NGL, my first that was "the Raiders are gonna spawn underground! Oh noes!"😂
Personally, I think the trap doors is a stroke of genius, especially for those of us who don't like combat.
Trap door, indeed! 😂
Brilliant work, sir!
You only need one villager for a raid to spawn, so a bell isn't needed. However a bell still is nice to have since if you ring it you can see where nearby raid mobs are.
What texture pack makes your villagers look like that? ?? I love it! Gives the game more life!

I do not think so, since it is a resource pack. Unless you want to go through the files and tinker with it. @@gardenerguy2.065
A part 2 would be neat, it would be awesome if u changed the walls and had a bigger raid. (Bigger raids are triggered if you kill more leaders, u can see the level by the bad omen level 1-5, if u get level 5 the raid will be much bigger.)
That design is absolutely gorgeous! Amazing work as always, Marloe!
I remember experiencing my first raid in a village. I'd only started playing a few days in and it was the very first village I'd visited. I only had stone weapons and it was a disaster!!! Died so many times but thankfully I had the idea of having a bed in the village cause I knew I was gonna die!!! 🤣
Great video even if it brought back some ptsd for me 😂🤣😂

I liked the small houses for the village and very detailed ❤
The build looks great. What's annoying about Minecraft is that it doesn't matter how big you build a wall as long as it's at least a block and a half tall. This makes raids super easy to cheese. Other games solve this problem by allowing enemies to destroy walls and player-built structures. Recently, I've been playing the game Valheim which also has raids. The enemies in these raids are able to destroy structures. Trolls are the most destructive early game. Of course, there are ways to cheese raids completely, but it still puts more stress on base defense.
I think Minecraft can learn a lot from Valheim (and vice versa). IMO the perfect survival sandbox game would be a mash-up of both games. Valheim is a very fun game. Would love to see you try it out. I will say it doesn't have the same flexibility with building as Minecraft.
Valheim is easier to build nice looking structures, especially at actual player character scale, something Minecraft really struggle with.
However, in Valheim on survival, the best and most functional building with the most options is locked behind many dozens if not hundreds of hours of gameplay.
I very much agree that the best possible survival game is probably predominantly a cross between Minecraft and Valheim.
Yes, he couldn't wait to move 🤣@3:05 so much enthusiasm it's astounding.
Those small houses are such a cute design!
U can’t even fit a double or single chest in most of them… without it taking up the whole space
What a video! The replays shots, third person perspective and the commentry were perfect. Worth watching 😁
For another funny project, maybe try and transport villagers into a Pillager outpost, sort of make it into a village, and keep them alive as long as possible? Maybe they can spawn enough golems
You should make the village larger, with a church, a blacksmith, and some other shops, it just seems small and without life.
3:01 that villager was like. oh here we go again, a player
5:40 those 2 villagers were definitely questioning what is going on and why we're they brought there
Walls only need to be 3 high to stop pillagers.
In fact, taller helps them hide from defenders.
If you have a NPC mod like guards or companion then it's fun to make funnel patterns for kill zones.
Brilliant video! Thank you! Great commentary and I really enjoyed your style. 🎉
Love the builds! Would love to have a guide or just even a clear picture of each house!
I'm in love with this village you built! It seems so cozy and comfortable to live in! Do you plan to make a tutorial on how to build/make a video showing it in more detail, make your world available for download or something like that? The style in which it was made can be used as heavy inspiration.
Loved the video @ItsMarloe! Can't wait for the next video man! I would've just Stuck to using Oak Planks instead of the Trapdoors since I was wondering wether or not that would actually happen (Pillagers getting stuck on the Trapdoors).
I tend to make my Villages, Towns and Cities almost like Something from the Second World War. Roads that are about 7 Blocks Wide, Town Squares that are 23 Blocks by 23 Blocks, Water Fountains that are 5 Blocks by 5 Blocks and About 2 Blocks Tall, Brick Factories, Different Colored Houses, Train Stations, Tracks and Railway Yards and the Odd Set of Trench Lines, Gun Nests and Bunkers...... Yeah, Miniature Tabletop Wargamer turned Vanilla and Modded Minecrafter LMAO!
Barbed Wire made with Nether Brick Fences, Cobwebs and either Cactus or Sweet Berry Bushes; Trench Lines made by Digging down 3 Blocks at best, Lining the Bottom with Dark Oak and Spruce Slabs and Campfires and the sides with Spruce Planks (3 Blocks wide) and a Ladder along the Top 2 Blocks all while Following the Contours of the World Generation.
Recommended Mods for the Most Immersive Experience are....
• The Create Mod (Build up a Proper Infrastructure like Powerplants, Factories Ect.)
• Valkyrien Skies, Valkyrien Skies: Eureka, Valkyrien Skies: Clockwork and Valkyrien Skies: Tournament Mods (Add Physics to Minecraft so that you can Build Ships, Aircraft, Tanks and other Vehicles and Equipment).
• Recruit Villagers Mod (Updated to 1.20 Minecraft, Recruit Villagers to become your own Personal Army. Swordsman, Shieldsman, Spearman, Cavalry, Archers and Crossbowmen can be Hired from Job Site blocks purchased from Journeyman Level (Level 2 or Gold Badge) Fletchers, Armorers and Toolsmiths (I think, The guys with the Eye patch on them) and all you need is One Block and the Unemployed and/or Nitwit Villagers will keep coming to the Blocks. So even if one villager recruit has claimed the block, more recruits can also claim it and you don't have to worry about Buying a bunch of Them or the Recruits losing their jobs if the block is destroyed. They'll level up as they gain Experience, Use whatever you give them like Armor, Tools, Food and Potions even Totems of Undying. Caravans will have more Experienced Recruits as well as some Villagers with them and Pillagers have gotten a Slight Upgrade to not be too Overpowered by your Army. There's even a Function for when you're on a Multiplayer Server where you can Set up Teams similar to Factions, so if you wanted to Play "Hearts of Iron Ore" but you don't have Flans Mod since that's only now for 1.12.2 and 1.15.2 Minecraft, you can do this instead).
• Simple Planes Mod (Updated to 1.20 Minecraft, Build Planes and Helicopters in Minecraft using Propellers and Planks. They'll take on the Texture of whatever wood type you use on them. Furnace Engines will use fuel like Coal or Charcoal while Electric Engines need to be Recharged using Forge Energy from supportive mods like Mechanism. Add Armor and Floats to your Planes and Helicopters to increase their Health and Allow for use on the water. Right click with Dispensers and give them Arrows, Firework Rockets or Fire Charges to Shoot. Add TNT Blocks to Drop from the Large Plane and Helicopters as well as Supply Chests and add extra Seats to hold up to 5 Passengers in the Large Plane. Parachutes are available and can be used when worn as armor like a chestplate).
Villager Workers is under Development currently for 1.19 Minecraft while Create Big Cannons is still under Development in 1.12.2 Minecraft. Villager Workers is made by Talhanation (who also made Recruit Villagers and Small Ships) and is Similar to Recruit Villagers. Noxus has a video about this on his Channel if you want to check it out. Create Big Cannons allows the Players to built actual Cannons in Minecraft with the Create Mod. Since it's still in Development, there aren't any Crafting Recipes for most of what's in the mod. For every 3 Barrels you'll need a Single Powder Charge and the Shell does more Damage than a Bed in the Nether or the End. You can check it out on the Dev's (Beeg Yosh) own CZcams Channel.
Let me know what you think about this and I'll catch you in your next video man! Maybe we might get you see you trying out some of these Mods as well!
You've done it again Marloe, another amazing video.
As soon as raids became available I became addicted to them. Silent was not even dreaming about making farms for them yet and I personally never used one, mainly because my brain is too lazy to dedicate itself to understand the mechanics and perform all the steps but also because I am too adventurous for my own sake so I needed the thrill. So yes, I made some stacks of emerald blocks on those pillagers back along with some double chests of totems and I wish saddles could be used at least for fuel, man... omG. I heavily relied on tipped arrows since I also just recently have discovered them and that in bedrock you could use 3 potions to make a whole stack of arrows by submerging them in a cauldron. The village was a Farm house of sorts that I kinda copied from Andyisyoda but I made it a lot larger and it was at the moment housing around 40 villagers so the amount of golems inside was good but the spawned mostly inside the walls, still a great aid if a wave of pillagers somehow spawned or managed to get inside. There was a river to the left where it was a lot easier to kill ravagers from bellow the water or simply from a far since they can not swim fast enough, the same actually goes for any pillager variant but specially ravagers and vindicators that are solely melee. The wall to the right was inside a desert biome though, so whenever they came from that side I used arrows or slowness level II and damage to kill them faster otherwise bad news for me. After each raid I started trading like crazy until I was out of resources such as paper, coal, strings, crops. Down the line I didn't have anywhere or anything to spend my emeralds on so I copied Avomance's sugar cane farm for a third time in that world and decorated the part behind the glass blocks with some emeralds. Nowadays, whenever I try to call and fight a raid it lags my game like crazy. Nothing works properly anymore. Same computer though, Idk what happened.

Thank you for ameliorate
Just a little thing, but if you made the tower walls a little shorter, you could add snow golems as "archers". While they won't deal damage, they'll be good distractions while you clear the pillagers out.
their snowballs can set on fire if they pass through it, meaning they can deal damage if they are properly surrounded
love the music choice circa 2:58, really feels relaxing and compliments the "cozy" atmosphere of the village
Who even is that
I have built all of your custom village houses! I was wondering shoud i build a defence, and you uploaded a video for it! Thank you so much!
In medieval times, cities had walls much like your raid-proof village. But they would be very thick and made of stone. You could try to break them down by flinging big rocks at them, get over them with siege towers, or use a battering ram to break down the gates. But when the cannon started rolling into battlefields, city walls were rendered useless as a cannonball could just punch through.
So if Mojang equips Pillagers with cannons...we know who is to blame
Well, walls like this were usually found in earlier medieval times or fortified cemetries. Cannons were medieval thing, but walls were still used, just evolved in time (fortress city, building thicker and bigger walls or add dirt beneath the stone to absorb the balls)
Wow! love this video, and learning so much about it, thank you!
The little detail is always my favorite part to build on my builds, makes it "pop"
Not gonna lie this kinda looks like a clash of clans base 😂
Add snow golem towers. And dispenser xbow. But no inferno towers tho
Your a great builder. Love the village and castle like wall.
its cool seeing the mobs with the fresh animations resourcepack
This story method was a lot of fun.
I want to see more videos from you in this style
"Man I wish there was a way to protect my villagers from raids." -chieftain Charles Castle, shortly before inventing Castles
This is what i like . Simple video of yours are so calming.😊
I enjoy your build style, fitting lots of details in a smal area
this was helpful in the way of designing a type of raid farm! Raid farms the majority of players make are way too expensive and way to complicated. This one is the best and easiest! Thanks for confirming my idea for how to protect a village from raids without having to get involved if i dont wat to, and for confirming that this could verry well be a raid farm in itself CHEEP AND EASY should i choose to get involved.
What about building ianxofours instant raid farm? Not stacking raid farm, the instant one! It's a very simple build :) make sure it's not a stacking one, that's more complicated. The stacking one means you get infinite raids, the instant one just lets you easily kill one raid.
You have to get involved in this type of "raid farm" unless you plan on making a ton of irom golems which is expensive 😆
Wow this is so nostalgic me and my friend used to play together and in our world and we built our own village just like this one to do raids in
That villager he said to that they are willing to move was just like "NO- oh I dont got a choice do I...?"... he's been through a similar situation before XD
It would actually be more protected if it was located on the highest point on the island. Fortresses are usually built high up. Also it’d be safer if the whole of the walls were made of stone because if they’re made of wood, the pillagers, vindicators and evokers can just burn it down. Also the main gate should be a bit more protected as the pillagers can see into the village and shoot into it.
The best to do would be, to 2 layers, one on top and other at the beaches of island and then build three brigdes to concetrate pillagers in chokepoints
It looks very good, simple and practical ❤ might be trying to replicate this build
Nice work!
I really really enjoy your camerawork for this!
I absolutely love this I haven’t played Minecraft in awhile
Setting up a threat and then defeating it for heroism is literally what syndrome does in the incredibles 😂
I would honestly love to see a city for a village with wood walls, something like a nomad village not fortress though I do doubt myself this will ever happen anytime soon sadly
You were right about the compass directions - the sun rises in the East and sets in the West in Minecraft, so your gate is pointing North like you said guessed.
The best way to defend of raid without losing any villagers is to simply wait till night so everyone will be at home, block their doors with blocks and that's it,the only way for them to die is evokers's vexes because they can fly through solid blocks like they don't even exist but it happens so rarely
There's always next time. You can take out the trap doors and put in fence. And then you'll Have to guard the gate
I know it's currently impossible, but I hope one day you can get one of your Tektopia villages to fight off a raid. Maybe the ravine village.
You're already the second CZcamsr where I can see those more realistic movements of villagers and pillagers (arms, head, eyes etc.). Because I really like this modification, I would like to ask which mod or resource pack do I need to achieve the same in my worlds? :)
Fresh animations resource pack, it needs optifine to work btw
Fresh Animations!
Very simple & simply explained video. I'm really really satisfied
you can use a shield to block a ravager's charge, doing so will stun it for a few seconds, in the meantime hit it with an axe(try giving critical hits) which will give him a good amount of damage, but as soon as he gets up again run to make distance from him and keep repeating so until he is finished. Also, blocking a Ravager's charge will disable your shield for sometime.
I like to see you defend a village against the sculck horde mob, like this.
My son has taught me to build walls of trees side by side. I didn’t think it worked, but it does. They really grow anyway.
Not only was this quality to watch, but now (having little knowledge of minecraft rn) ik u *CAN* have a raid in a custom village :D
This video was simple and sweet I love it
We have built a very big one house contains all the useful villagers an covered it with very good looking walls. We had looting on sword and infinity on bow so we could use the looting bow! That was very easy to defend the villagers from top of the walls. We can get very good loots while having fun and not building a farm!
I wish that Minecraft had vanilla turrets that weren't strictly fgor under water. If they could make it so that the conduit could target hostile mobs in air blocks, that'd be amazing.
"First things first, we need a wall"
my friend, luke the notable would be proud

Hey Marloe! You're raid proof village build is very Cool:)❤
I liked this too :)
Lol the trapdoors were hilarious
Just a wood fence a good distance from the village is all you need to keep the raid out.
For the paranoid, a three tall wall is more than enough.
I didn’t know that they could pick their jobs awesome
Honestly i just surround ny village with regular ol fenses. Only issues that comes itp is the occasional ravager bugging out over the fence and witches throwing potions.
Oh and vexes, but nothing can stop a vex (except some clutch boat placement, i guess)
Did this with Netherportals. Sent the Raid straight to Hell, quite literally.
Of course, there's an entire army chilling in the nether now, but they can fight it out with the ghasts.
Mojang should do a kool update where the villagers defend themselves and or attack the pillagers with unique weapons and ride on the iron golems
Oh my god the villager eyes move now?
I remember making something like this on a MASSIVE SCALE (Even before sieges were really a thing) on the Xbox 360...Those were the days man
Dropping a comment to boost engagement because this video was great! Just some nice, relaxing content, honestly kind of reminds me of Ethoslab back like 9-10 years ago when I used to watch his stuff all the time, and it’s a really nostalgic feel! Hope you have success with CZcams, you deserve it dude
Would you consider doing a wall tutorial? It looks dope and would love to incorporate something like it into my future builds/play through
Logs, stairs, and trap doors… literally look at it… it’s easy
Nice presentation man. Enjoyed it.👍
Raids are my favorite part of minecraft, I love making villages just to have them raided.
Lava moats, iron doors, daylight sensors witha switch, piston powered moat bridges to get all the mobs into the moat. Sorted.
the real way to defend a village is just to spawn in some iron golems or encourage the villagers to breed so that iron golems spawn on their own. Golems are the strongest mob on the normal minecraft land, only bested by the warden in the caves, wither in the nether, and ender dragon in the end. So spawning a lot of them naturally or forcefully will keep a village well protected
I search CZcams for interesting Minecraft videos and always see spacious, elaborately designed structures like these and then feel bad when I go back to my world full of simplistic, boxy buildings, lol.
I remember build wall and tower to defence village in minecraft survival 😂 i not know that creative mode exist 😂😂😂
Minecraft: Attack on Titan edition
My last iron farm was on an island, it was too easy to defend from raids. If you turn your back before they spawn they'll most likely appear behind you and if that's over water, easy.
Made me wanna start a new world and do a lil cozy village like this 😅
Whenever i hear your voice, you remind me of mumbo jumbo with more mumbo in your voice. This is the best description to describe what i feel
Is this a mod or are villagers this cool nowadays? I want my villagers to have this sort of animation.
That’s a resource pack called Fresh Animations :)
Fun video! I'm gonna try out a similar design
10:53 Dude perfectly guessed which direction he was facing- The sun was setting, meaning he was actually facing north lmao
I've always just used boats to transport villagers doesn't require as many materials even though it takes a little bit longer, I'm also having mild panic attacks because there are no pathways leading between the houses.
