- We continue our journey through Montana as we find a beautiful site near Bozeman. Also, we hone in on some small tips and tricks we've learned as we live full time in our truck camper during the winter. Plus, we're camped along the river with some huge morning snowflakes, while enjoying the isolation of winter in the mountains.

Barkley is absolutely adorable - your videos are so peaceful....keep them coming!!!
Thanks for the kind words!
Definition of a wonderful life in nature. Your easy, pleasant nature along with Barkley make these videos a must see for me. Thanks so much!!
Thanks for the kind words and the support!
What a great video! Wonderfully capture the peaceful scenery of winter in the mountains. Thanks for sharing your time with us :)
Thanks for watching!
Such a nice and relaxing day. Barkley is one chill dog as you put on the “boots”.
Also we got an Camco adjustable broom from Amazon. We used it on our last trip and are very happy with it.
He hated them the first time we were putting them on and then he hit the snow and loves them now!
Your vids are so enjoyable. Thanks for all the work you put into them!
Thanks for the appreciation! We’re glad to have you watching!
My husband and I have a Cirrus 820. It drips onto our truck window controls as well. We keep a roll of paper towels handy to wipe it up. It’s been fun watching your snow camping experiences. We’re from AL so we’ve not gotten to experience that yet. Safe travels:)
Smart with the paper towels! Thanks for supporting our channel!
My wife suggested to put Press & Seal over the window control buttons to protect them from the water coming in.
I love your videos and your smiles. Barkley is an awesome dog.
I've been to 45 states and Montana is the most beautiful
It sure is gorgeous!
Barkley is so cute with his booties! We're looking forward to visiting North Dakota, Montana, Idaho & places in between with our pup. Safe travels!
They're all gorgeous areas!
I do NOT miss those Montana winters at all! 😊 It was nice just watching your vlog from the warm comfort of my 65 degree home. I actually drove home from work in 71 degrees and had to turn on my AC! Love, love my AZ winter weather! 😎 Stay warm y'all!
71 does sound amazing right now!
What a beautiful winter scene alongside that river. And that trout fisherman was hardcore! We really enjoyed Montana and looking forward to a return trip.
Yes! Our Lance 1172 is no fun getting in and out of the truck cab in the rain, but not quite as bad when it comes to rain dripping on the doors as your rig.
Safe travels and may God bless!
It sure was gorgeous! And glad (I guess??) to hear its not just our camper. Have a great weekend!
If you get close to Dillon, you should check out Elkhorn Hot Springs. It is out of Dillon Montana and anyone that lives in Dillon will know about it. My dad and mom used to own it back in the 1970s and it is a fun place to stay. You will likely be in snow up there as it is at 7600 feet above sea level. But it is nice and there is a campground just down the road from the resort. And of course, you can warm up in the hot springs pools. :)
Another great video ...we love watching you guys !!
We appreciate the support!
Very entertaining video 📹 👏. Montana is a beautiful state. See you on the next one adventurers 😊❤.
Thanks for tuning in!
You have all that time. Try making homemade ravioli’s! Spinach and Portabello mushroom, broccoli and cheese, crab and spinach are some of my favorites. It isn’t rocket science to make the raviolis. You can do breakfast raviolis, mushroom, bacon, egg, sausage etc. too. Great video.
Don't miss the Patagonia outlet in Dillion! And the Taco Bus there is great food too.
Dang we're already past, but I'll write it down for next time!
Even a gray day looks good.
Agreed!
A little something for Mr. Barkley 👊🏻 TREATS 😹
You may want to find a source for Bottled Meat./Fish. It lasts a very long time without needing refrigeration.
Also there is Freeze Dried Hamburger available.
When all else fails, there is always Spam.
Look into some different Camper Gutters. No need to get wet.
Agreed! We’ve been considering it, just need to try some and give it a shot. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for amazing content & atmosphere you create for us to escape to!
$2.89?!! What a dream!!!! $4:61 some areas San Bernadino California
All your meals are easy !!! I want to see a real gourmet meal cooked by y’all
Haha we’re getting tired of the easy meals too, just waiting until we have water in the camper again so we can clean multiple dishes!
I have recently found your channel…I’m from Fort Worth now but originally from Michigan so can relate to both of you and love watching your camping videos.
Both great areas! We appreciate your support along the way!
$2.89 is the current price a gallon for 87 octane gas here in Lafayette, Louisiana and $3.59 for diesel.
What a beautiful spot, and how fun to have it snowing!
Agreed!
Barkley is so chill 😎 Here Cali has the worst fuel prices 🤔😂
He sure is! And I can only imagine
My wife and I love your videos, we live full time in our class a in Clifton Tennessee we’d love to have you over for a bbq as long as you bring Barkley 😁
Haha I'm sure Barkley would love it!
I so want to do camping so much. Love your vidoes
Great to see more details on cooking.
We'll work in some more complex recipes once we have running water back in the camper!
Going to watch you two now!!
Thanks for tuning in!!
Nothing like a calm peaceful area, safe travels ❄️🇺🇸
Thanks for watching!
Wonderful ❤looks fun
Sure was!
Safe travels👌
Thanks!
$2.89 is a little high for Oklahoma. Loved this video. No hopping place to place, just relaxing in a good spot. Enjoy!
We're enjoying a slower travel style!
We enjoy watching your videos of winter camping enjoyment. The snow isn’t real to us now. Just in pictures and videos. When and if we get back on the road, we will just stick to spring, summer, and fall camping. Being senior citizens and Larry trying to get back to normal from his health issues, winter isn’t fun for us anymore. Idaho, Montana, and Colorado will be great for us winter free. Safe travels!
Winter definitely takes its toll, we’re looking forward to some great spring/summer weather!
Hello you two we are watching y’all camping in snow and we are in our Rv for the winter in sunny Florida. Love watching your videos.
We could use some sunshine right now!
Great video! As for the dripping water inside, probably a combination of the size of the camper and the angle of the side windows. On my Lance 1161, we don't have that problem. That said, it's probably little wider than yours and the old 1979 F-350 4x4 we use to hull it, has windows that don't have much angle to them.
Just one of the truck camper things I guess!
Gas in northern Ohio is 3.29 a gallon. Love your truck camper. I have 24 foot tow behind. Was thinking of going with a smaller camper or a truck camper. Thank you for your videos.
We sure love the truck camper setup!
Maybe redirect water from your gutter with a clear flexible tube to the ground..
We've considered something along this!
Connor, we have a Lance 2021 1172, and previously a Honey 12 ft...al of them drip the water from the gutter right about where the armrest is on the door. No way to get in or out of the door without getting yourself and the door wet.
Just a truck camper downside I guess!
Our regular is $4.27 at Costco, $4.89 at Chevron
consider yourself lucky then, it’s $1.63/litre here in central BC🇨🇦 ,and diesel is 18cents more.😂
Looks like a hot chocolate with marshmallows type of day.
That sure does sound delicious!
Wow! It's so beautiful I had to watch it twice. You're only 6 hrs from our house in Washington. I'll try and make it over there this summer if I can. Montana is amazing!! Oh and Barkley's adorable in his new shoes LoL!! Cheers! ~M
We're excited to visit Washington one of these days!
@@LivingLargeCamping I hope you do! 😎
Love your videos, try window visors, should add couple inches
Good idea! Those could work
Curious what y’all do for work on the road? Love the videos!
You can't break spaghetti in half, and then put RAO's sauce on it, that's against the law.
Beautiful there in Bozeman.
Haha noted for next time!
I'm in FL. north of Tampa and gas is floating around $3.05 and 3. 35 for reg.
Thanks for the info!
I wish we had $2.89 in KY. We have $3.35/gal as of 2/18/24. Thanks Biden! You SOB!
Hey Connor. I was just checking to see how the HD bumper upgrade you did is holding up. Paint (chipping, fading, etc.). I’m considering getting one for my Ram 2500.
Hope y’all are doing well and staying safe out on the road.
Hi John, thanks for asking! We still love having the HD bumper on our tuck. It does have two small spots where the paint is bubbling, but since we're always in the elements it's not too surprising. Other than that, the build quality is amazing. Definitely prefer having one since we cover so much ground!
Great video, except I prefer warm weather. :) Looking at the map you showed, I think I camped in that campground once. Does the name have a color in it? I've done a lot of camping around Dillon. I highly recommend East Bank CG near Wise River, MT, if it's open. It's a BLM one on a river, and was free the last time I was there several years ago. Enjoy the snow and safe travels!
I think it's the same campground! Beautiful area, and can't beat being right on the river!
@@olympic-view8881: I thought the video might have been taken from the other side of the river from the campground I was in, but was not sure. When I was there, I thought people were just boondocking across the Madison River from me, but I just saw one campground website that called them xxxx #1 and #2.. Thanks for the clarification! :) Yep, beautiful area!!
Really enjoy your videos. What year is your truck?
were you at Red Cliffs camp ground? having 3-5 days of Mountain house meals as a back up if stranded is a good thing
Nope, more towards Bozeman. We’ve driven by red cliffs though!
Florida gas just went up to $3.35
Yuck!
Our Kids live in Bozeman. We love that area, but not the Winters.
Regular $3.11 Lewiston, Idaho
$3.69 Clarkston, WA.
Washington is terrible for gas prices, lots of extra taxes on it.
The winters sure can be harsh! Yuck on the gas, but were excited to visit the state someday!
2:89 Is great? I am in the state of Maryland Gas is $3.89 some Stations, it is more.
Yikes!
WOW $2.89 per gallon for gas? It is $4.59 here in Seattle Washington. :(
$2.89 for gas here in northern minnesota
That'll work!
Love those doggie booties. $2.89 for gas. We Californian would die for that. Here in L.A. it between $4.39 - 4.59 @ Costco. Other name brands like Chevron and Shell are $1 more. I have couple questions. Why do you move so much? How cold does it gets at night and how do you stay warm? Do you wash the vege before cooking them? Or you just don't video that part? Safe travel
I'm sure that does sound nice for CA! And the most time we spend is 3-4 nights in a single spot. Mostly cause we can only hold about that much food, and in the winter we have to fill propane every 4-5 days so it just works out when to move.
Where is this spot near Bozeman?
My 815 dumps the roof drainage right on the door controls as well. The gutters end too soon. Poor design. I keep the windows up when I first roll out fully expecting the shower. Very annoying flaw.
Such a design flaw!
Why dont you Run a generator for an hour or 2 it will charge your battery 10x faster than from the truck engine. Probably to full in less than 2 hrs.
We can only charge our goal zero at 220w from the wall, they have a 600w option but it's rather expensive for what you get. So for us its the fastest by driving!
The first thing to learn is not to buy one of those dodge ram breakdown piles of junk!
