Mori’s voice is like audio crack! You cannot get enough! She has the crazy ability to make you feel every song she sings! Simply put, she is the Best alive today!
The reason why I like to observe the reactions of real coaches who have just arrived in the world of Morissette is to see their faces of fascination and to know that they cannot imagine the monstrous talent that is in this girl and that this is just the tip of the iceberg! When you have had the opportunity to see this girl on stage, nothing is the same again. Thanks !!

There is something about Morissette's voice that seem to affect her listeners. There are so many incredible vocalists / singers out there, very technical, very skilled, unlimited range, but, I think, there may be something about her voice's "frequency" that affects people. I say this because its the same for whichever song she sings! In any language, solo or duets with other artist!. Add to the fact that she's a great storyteller, sings with passion, and shows that when she's singing she's actually enjoying it. But, I still have this theory about her voice's "frequency." There is a "pleasantness" to it. It relaxes and evokes emotions in her listeners. For me, it's truly inexplicable. I wish someone would "scientifically" measure her singing voice with sound or voice instruments to really find out. Let's face it, many of her materials out there are covers and that's ok, but how is she making these songs better than the original? Almost all of her covers are on par or better than the original! I'm amazed that no one's put forth my "voice frequency" theory out here yet. I feel it must be beyond her singing style, skill and passion for singing.....something about that voice. It must truly be God given.

Yooooo I’m totally with you regarding frequency. I always say her tone/timber, especially in her high belts, is like a laser beam that just cuts through & creates almost a euphoria, I swear. She’s really mastered her naturally beautifully toned, honed in all the best techniques & gives the world spectacular vocals over & over & over again. I freaking love Mori!
@@dennisaguilar7108 I'm a big fan of OPM and have always had a huge appreciation for Filipino artists, especially vocalists. It's gotta be in the water (or karaoke machines at home) because so many Pinoys / Pinays can sing. I was huge on Regine since she first came around more than 20 yrs ago, but there's really something about Morissette's voice for me. It's got a different effect on me personally. I also noticed that reactors tend to describe her performances in the same manner. I'm just shocked that I've never heard of her here in the US...until I accidentally clicked on her "Secret Love Song" performance on Wish. After that, I was totally hooked.
Everything you said here about the impact of her voice and the immense talent she has is all true. Also, the part you said about that long note after the whistle and onto the bridge, it's pretty unreal! 😲 5:06 - 5:19 is all in one breath! It's insane 😵 It's actually my favorite part in that song, next to the long whistle note that came out of nowhere lol I still recall one vocal coach who saw this performance for the first time and he kept going back to that part I just mentioned 'cause of how much she carried all those notes to high places. It moved him to tears. 😥 It's stunning as you said so... great review as well! 👍👍👍
This is a song I must show my wife. She loves these kinds of "sugar sweet" songs. But this one I must admit... I loved it as well. It was more than just sugar, indeed.

Love your honest reaction to Morisette- the "Asia's Phoenix" of the Philippines. Since you mentioned that she should try singing theatre type of songs, you need to react to 'She used to be Mine' and 'Defying Gravity'. Rewatched. u r right 1) her voice is so clear and clean 2) she is a storyteller 3) many can hit the notes, few make u feel every song 4) Morissette can move the pitch in her whistle as well as speak worlds. 5) she can hold a note for days, sitting down!! 6) she has no professional training. Her Dad was a rocker 7) She can sing Broadway and Disney to gospel and soul and everything in between. Take a listen to her Broadway medley with Martin Nievera or her Rock medley or Bohemian Rhapsody.....her versatility is endless. take care.

What makes him different, however, is the fact that up to the point where he did the song, "The Prayer," he had no formal vocal training. And yet, he has a bi-polar voice.
