AJ: "I think I got 3rd or 4th out of 4 at the nationals" Pat Mcafee: "I'm proud of you man, anyways, so we're there in that stadium,k. A lot of Mcafee's in there a lot of Mcafee's in Pittsburgh, I'm gonna score my first f*cking touchdown night game, Sunday night football I believe it was, right here. Touchdown. We get in that situation and I'm like holy f*ck this is really gonna happen, were like on the 6, on the left hash, it's 4th and goal now, field goal team is jogging on & I'm like "well f*ck" it's about to.. I'm.. this.. im..I got a f*ckig.. I'm ready. I am ready for this to happen, so I get out there I get down, Vinny's like happy for me, Vinny's like very excited, he's like "let's f*cking go" like Vinny's excited for me at this moment, I'm like here we go, so I make the call, I forget what it was, so I start saying it, right? And everybody's looking at me like okay, bright eyes, here we go let get after it, offensive lineman are deadass tired, they do not want to be in the middle of a field goal anyways so they're just like "alright, I don't give a f*ck if you die here but this should work, let's get some points" and all of the sudden I go through my cadence I call it, I get down and Troy Polamalu's f*cking ass goes ahead for… however long his career was at this point, I think it was 9 years or 8 years at this point, not a once has he ever gone to this side of the field over here to the left cover strand stood right in the c gap, never, he lined up exactly where he had lined in film a hundred percent of the time and then as soon I got to like the 2nd cadence right before set he just bounced his little ass right over the c gap and I like stopped everything I was doing and I literally looked at him and I have him like a, what the f*ck are you doing man like why are you there right now? And then I stood up and said "we are kicking it. We don't have a… we have to kick it. We are kicking this." And then I get down & and vinatieri kicks it and jog off the field. And Chuck Pagano comes running up next to me he's like. "Hey good job, what'd you see?" I said "what did I see? Polamalu just f*cking went right into the God damn c gap" what did I see? What did I see? And he goes "okay, sounds good. Good call then" and I'm like " good call then? And then Vinatieri's like "hey way to go buddy" I'm like "way to go? Are we not gonna talk about how big of a f*cking asshole Troy Polamalu is for what just happened right there?" So that's…" Jerry Thornton: "pretty sure is like "I saw the Angel of death waiting for me at the c gap"" Pat Mcafee: "what, you thought I was going to run him over? No way! For me, Troy is probably the best most dynamic safety to play the game. Incredible tackler. dynamic blitzer and unbelievable in pass coverage. With hands better than most HOF receivers.
Sean Taylor would like you to sit down. Troy was a great little safety but he didn’t tackle properly. He would be fined out of the league in today’s game.
Pat hit the nail on the head when mentioning how the Steelers other safety had to some how be on the same page with Troy's instincts. Ryan Clark and Polamalu made a great tandem ! Good times... good times 🍻
Remember that play from his USC days when he destroyed a kick returner by getting there a smidge early and EVERYONE was calling him a thug, a dirty player, a terrible person, .... When in reality he’s the most humble and soft spoken superstar ever who was simply just too good at his job.
I loved watching both Ed Reed and Tory Palomalu play, but I'll always rank Ronnie Lott as the #1 safety in the history of the NFL. google the famous story of Ronnie Lott and losing the tip of a finger in a game. (Ed and Tory are tied for 2nd in my book. And I'm a Ravens fan.)
@Ed Holleran Jr Hot Rod is best remembered as a top-2 CB (with Deion), but no question he was one of the best coverage safeties of all time at the end of his career, too.
Thank you Pat for acknowledging this. You have had an amazing NFL career, as did Troy. I enjoy tuning into your show all the way from down under, New Zealand. Cheers mate
Troy had one job on the field, every play. That was to be Troy F. N. Polamalu. And, since he accomplished that every time he stepped on the field, PFF should have given him a perfect score. If they didn't, that reflects their inability to recognize his role, not any form of failure on his part.

I’m a life long Browns fan but even I was just so shocked at how good Troy P was. I honestly think he made that defense what it was and people underestimate just how good that guy was. He legit ran around like a chicken with his head cut off but always caused havoc and was around the ball. Honestly he’s the best safety along with Ed Reed that I’ve ever seen play
Bengals fan here (i know give me hell) but imagine playing against Troy Polamalu AND Ed Reed FOUR times a year. talk about a QB nightmare. the AFC North was not a fun place to be with those two in it at the same time
I root so hard against the Steelers, but #43 Troy Polamalu was a freak-show. He had the football I.Q. - ball skills - hit like a linebacker. He was a human missile. He was a Game changer. I agree with everything Pat said. Troy was Special " Big Facts "
Livelong Steeler fan.....born when they were losers in the 60's,was 12 when they got their first Super Bowl.....as a Young, now Full Time Adult......was thrilled with Rod Woodson. Troy Paulumaulo went to the Next HOF Level.....he stood out on a Historically Defensive Team...and helped the Offense!
Pat didn't C this coming, troy covering the GAP that was suppose to be a 100% walk in the park TOUCHDOWN. Pat: here we go baby... Troy: hold my hair brush.
Can someone explain how the hof works. Cause before I thought that you were in it it not, then there was the centennial class, and the pro football Hof. Now there first ballot? I'm dumb confused.
a b so all I know and can explain is the first ballot part. After you retire you have to be retired for 5 years to be eligible for nomination. They only induct so many people every year(4-8) the centennial thing as far as I read is they’re adding extra this year for the 100th season. So not every eligible person we get Inducted to the hall of fame on their first eligible year. If they induct you into the hall of fame your first eligible year to be inducted then you’re a first ballot hall of famer. Some people are hall of fame worthy but it’ll take them years.
Troy Polamalu was the best instinctive safety ever. They called defensive plays for 10 men. Troy did whatever he wanted and made the HOF anyway. We can debate the best safeties all day, but as far as instinct?.....not even close.
Being a Ravens fan - I got to watch Ed Reed every game and Troy at least two times a year. Both of them would end up in places on the field where you ask "why in the world is he playing there?!?" as they pick off a pass or make a hit. Ed the Ballhawk and Troy the Heavy Hitter. Also: Troy played at USC - how come he never got a nickname that involved the word Trojan?
Dustin Colquit is the greatest punter of all time and we miss him in KC very much. Damn good man. Pat and Dustin should start a business together like Mantle and Marris did. That is the level you two are at. FYI you would be Mickey Pat. Dustin would be Roger.
*PETITION TO HAVE TROY POLAMALU COME ON THE SHOW*

"Hey good job, what'd you see?"

For me, Troy is probably the best most dynamic safety to play the game. Incredible tackler. dynamic blitzer and unbelievable in pass coverage. With hands better than most HOF receivers.
Sean Donoghue And he literally gave his body up on most of his tackles...I cringed every time he threw his body at an opposing player.
I'm surprised there hasn't been that Ed Reed comment on here yet. Lol. Anytime someone praises Troy, soon an Ed Reed comment will follow.
@@wrestlingwithart you just did
Ed Reed was better jajaja
Sean Taylor would like you to sit down. Troy was a great little safety but he didn’t tackle properly. He would be fined out of the league in today’s game.

Lying Ravens fan🤨
I love how Pat has kept up this "feud" with Troy all this time. The C Gap will enver get old
Literally a top 3 safety of all time.
Top 2 in my opinon. Him and Ed Reed
Ed Holleran Jr Damn. He was before my time. Just looked him up. You’re 100% fight
Don’t forget about Brian Dawkins
@Ed Holleran Jr Hot Rod is best remembered as a top-2 CB (with Deion), but no question he was one of the best coverage safeties of all time at the end of his career, too.
Ahem..I love #43 but dont forget Lott.
Thank you Pat for acknowledging this. You have had an amazing NFL career, as did Troy. I enjoy tuning into your show all the way from down under, New Zealand. Cheers mate

Pat Mcafee: "Ed Reed! I would have feared Ed Reed yeah if I saw Ed Reed in that c gap absolu… E-D Reed boy, the best safety you ever seen boy, I ain't doin shit to Ed Reed"
Jerry Thornton: "no, no, Ed Reed would have made the tackle, I'm saying that Polamalu would have shaved off your life"
Pat Mcafee: "oh! Oh my God, oh my god
That C Gap Recap though 🤣
Troy was a beast! Had WR scared to come across the middle. He was fun to watch
Troy for sure deserved his first ballot induction
Every time about Troy 😂😂😂😂 I love it!!
Polamalu deserves it, he's one of the best safety the league has seen
Pat should have Troy as a guest that would be great🤣
THE ANGEL OF DEATH
We are kicking it!!!!! 😂😂😂
We don't have a… we have to kick it. We are kicking this." And then I get down & and vinatieri kicks it and jog off the field.
And Chuck Pagano comes running up next to me he's like. "Hey good job, what'd you see?"
I said "what did I see? Polamalu just f*cking went right into the God damn c gap" what did I see? What did I see?
And he goes "okay, sounds good. Good call then" and I'm like " good call then? And then Vinatieri's like "hey way to go buddy" I'm like "way to go? Are we not gonna talk about how big of a f*cking asshole Troy Polamalu is for what just happened right there?" So that's…"
Jerry Thornton: "pretty sure is like "I saw the Angel of death waiting for me at the c gap""
Pat Mcafee: "what, you thought I was going to run him over? No way! I'm gonna get.. he's probably gonna strip me and Score a touchdown on the other f*ck.. that's Polamalu, bro! That ain't just some - your backyard football with your son, this are professional f*cking athletes.
He'd probably jump over the linemen, pick me up and run me into the other f*cking end zone if he wanted to, that's what he would have done"
Jerry Thornton: "the hardest hitting safety of his generation I mean, Ed Reed, great cover safety… I don't know if you would have feared him but.."
Troy "C Gap Guardian" Polamalu was an excellent football player and is an excellent human being. He deserves any and all praise he receives.
Everytime I hear the name Troy p, I immediately think of pat and his story.
Pat you are killing me🤣😅😂🤣😅😂🤣😅😂
Troy gotta come to the show Pat
Bengals fan here (i know give me hell) but imagine playing against Troy Polamalu AND Ed Reed FOUR times a year. talk about a QB nightmare. the AFC North was not a fun place to be with those two in it at the same time
I root so hard against the Steelers, but #43 Troy Polamalu was a freak-show. He had the football I.Q. - ball skills - hit like a linebacker. He was a human missile. He was a Game changer. I agree with everything Pat said. Troy was Special " Big Facts "
I would love to see Troy Polamalu on ur show
Gotta get Troy on the show!
It's time to get Troy on the show !
This man made me want to play football he made love the sport he definitely deserves a first ballot
You got to have Troy come on the show!
The best safety in the NFL
He was asked about this last week and he said Pat showed his hand by his excitement running onto the field. lol
"We're Kicking it!!"
C Gap in the HOF speech. Would love to see it.
I liked the Ike Taylor line about Troy talking to Jesus during the game.
"Troy Pallamalu" I love pat 😂😂😂
I was chuckling at that too😅
The mid to late 2000s rival between the Steelers and Ravens was one to admire. Ed Reid, Polamalu, Heinz Ward used to lower the boom too.
They’re gonna have to make a new head and shoulders commercial lol
I am a Patriots fan and I agree Troy was a beast
Which video is where he talks about troy in the c gap?!
“He was Lamar Jackson but on the defensive side of the ball” as a Samoan guy in Louisville, Ky, this was the most beautiful sentence I’ve ever heard 😢
Hell yeah brother
Have you spoken to Troy about that play? I feel that story put your show on the map. At least for me it did and I've been a fan of the show since!
He still pissed at Troy Polalamu for fucking up his touchdown!!!!!! This guy is fucking hilarious !!!!!!!!
Hell yeah Troy was a beast.
Pat should be a First Ballot Hall of Famer!!!! Oh wait Troy Polamalu end this mans career
RBT is publishing an interview today with Troy and in the interview he asked him about the C-Gap play. You should check it out
I love the idea hof is in Cleveland they get to watch all the other teams enter
Please get Troy on this show
I watch that ponamalu interview at least once a week. It get funnier every time
Pat didn't C this coming, troy covering the GAP that was suppose to be a 100% walk in the park TOUCHDOWN.
Pat: here we go baby...
Troy: hold my hair brush.
😂🤣
Don't let this distract you from the time AB fornacated with the goal post after running a punt back for a touch dahn
So Pat, what do you think of Joe Addai?
Let the memes begin😂😂
*That moment Troy sits in the C gap* 😳
Súper facts
“Adult Gentleman’s Ballet” 🤣☠️
Troy Polamalu @ SS and Ed Reed @ FS is the best A/B safety combo I can imagine. Maybe only rivaled by Brian Dawkins @ SS and Sean Taylor @ FS
Pat McAfee:
Ray Guy: “Hold my twelve pack”.
Hey MR. Pat what’s with the water bottle with piss in it 4:40 🥴
TROY THE USO 💪🏽
I would love to hear TP side of that story
I love how Pat McAfee deliberately mispronounces Troy polamalu's name....freaking hilarious 🤣 😆 😂
Troy Polamalu was the best instinctive safety ever. They called defensive plays for 10 men. Troy did whatever he wanted and made the HOF anyway. We can debate the best safeties all day, but as far as instinct?.....not even close.
yes would alway do something amazing
RBT did and an interview with Troy Polamalu about this story
Definitely agree
Being a Ravens fan - I got to watch Ed Reed every game and Troy at least two times a year. Both of them would end up in places on the field where you ask "why in the world is he playing there?!?" as they pick off a pass or make a hit. Ed the Ballhawk and Troy the Heavy Hitter. Also: Troy played at USC - how come he never got a nickname that involved the word Trojan?
The Troy "the Trojan horse" Polamalu would be fitting
never forget the time that Polamalu got an interception off the chiefs and Larry Johnson tackled him by his long luscious hair
Dustin Colquit is the greatest punter of all time and we miss him in KC very much. Damn good man. Pat and Dustin should start a business together like Mantle and Marris did. That is the level you two are at. FYI you would be Mickey Pat. Dustin would be Roger.
