This is the kind of immersion I would love to see in ATS/ETS2 !
yet, ATS/ETS fanboys have nothing but "moaaaar map" mentality, nevermind brake overheating simulation or engine temp ... or weather or 99 other things i wish ATS had even from ITS OWN predecessors or old buggers like king of the road had some FUN mechanics i wish to return.
imagine this weather in ATS as well as the game plays fuel, and the manual loading and unloading as in the game it would be the dream and the ultimate game unbeatable.
It's definitely not in the realm of map size or real branded trucks. But hey this is a whole new twist in the truck sim world. I can't wait to play this I love the realism aspect it has. This will be able to stand on its own as long as it continues to get support through the years.
Ats and ets2 have nothing to worry about but they could take some notes.
I’m confused I’ve heard people played this game but it isn’t even released on pc or console yet.
There was a demo that came out last year on steam for a limited time. That is probably what you saw. @@Skythe.

SCS can sleep tight, ATS is not in danger at all imo
How long of updates has ats had? Imagine this in 4 years.
@@caseyboyer7395 I don't really care tbh. ATS is good already. And the subject hasn't yet started this journey of proving🙂
SCS make arcades. They call them simulator but there is nothing about simulator: you still can't even get blown or flat tire or window damage what a shame. And SCS still can't into snow....
@@Al_gre at the same time I cannot be sure that every single one moaning like this has enough knowledge to evaluate things. I assume you play with steering wheel and H-pattern shifter? what can you say about maneuvering at low speed with straight steering wheels and with turned ones to full lock? the game is full of interesting details. tell me something about ones you've personally found
@@diesottodrives the game simulates a being a truck, not a trucker.
Hopefully there is a setting for realistic fuel times it would be cool to be chilling with your friends waiting for your truck to fill up
I dont know much about this game, but i hope it is based on maps where there is snow a lot and ice..

in your opinion, which one is better? 2022 or 2023?
Looks like the one major thing it's missing is actually backing up to a trailer to load it and unload it. The detail with connecting the air and lights is there but not the driving skill of backing up to the trailer or moving out from a trailer. The audio of the truck got worse, not better. Don't like that big overlay of the RPM's and speedometer on the right side either. Should be able to read the gauges on the trucks dashboard instead would be way better. The graphics aren't that great either and road details are bland. No signs, road markings, lanes and so on.

Interesting video, I'm curious how the graphics will be. Is it somewhat like ETS2 and ATS, or do I have to tone down my expectations?
There's not much to compare with ETS2 and ATS, the SCS games are more like a truck simulator, but this is a "trucker" simulator with a survival game aspect. I'm actually very curious to see what the final game will look like, because the preview what I got is just full of bugs and the release is actually in a few weeks
in all honesty it looks like they took a step back in 2023. 2022 was better imo. this is not a ats or ets 2 killer thats for sure. reminds me of a modded version of 18 wheels of steel lol

2023 its worse than 2022 which is much smoother..
They have made improvements, but many of the trailers need to be thrown in the garbage. European trailer designs have no place in an American game.

This looks nice, lots of elements that should make you feel like an actual human driving the truck. BUT.. no jake brakes ??

Wish a lot these truck features were in SCS ATS/ETS. Does Alaska truck have proper 13/18 speed eaton Fuller transmission. When tried demo, it did not and could not map proper 13 or 18 speed for my SKRS add on shifter. Graphics were Imo worst then ATS. But that fine as long game play is good.
Also notice from Alaska demo. The truck engine would rev PAST 3500 rpm. That so NOT true. In any commercial diesel turbo truck. Most rev limit was 2000 to 2400 rpm. Devs clearly didn hire any trucker driver or mechanics.
But game truck features I do like and wish was in both ATS/ETS2.
Is there a time limit on jobs or is that time limit for how long you can stay in the beta?
Low level vs. ATS , but more realistic features like refueling and free walk outside truck + every buttons in truck touching trucker hands. P.S. Rain in this game looks great and realistic.

I don't see anything that will keep SCS awake at night, and those tedious things a lot of people say they want are gonna get boring real quick.
how to tell you are ATS/ETS FANboy without telling it.
about time someone CRUSHES SCS monopoly on the genre .. competition will only help, SCS ... peak stagnation in my opinion. Enjoy your 99 ""stop and press enter" mechanics .... they dont get old??? hows the weather in ATS? oh riiight it doesnt EXIST, how about UI from 2010? how about the amazingly shallow way to implement sleep in ats? how about ATS makes gameplay variety with cargos? ATS is nothing but shallow dry A to B with barely OK graphics .. outdated UI, and shallllllllllllllow gameplay. And I have 20 years SIM trucking experience.. with allllll the peripherals you can get, rig and head trackings ... and I say .. fk SCS ... roll over and go bankrupt -mooooaaar map mentality lol .. yet ,,, alll of my criticisms for SCS wont make this auto-good either .. i am just glad for competition slowly crawling its way in.

Don't like the new dash nothing showing compare to the old one just a stupid side display would much prefer the old dash with all the working gauges.

Hopwefuly the game will arbeit on older computer good, couse modern games do not work. And the reson is not that they do something supperior, but the reason is that modern games are brutaly un optimized. So i cando streaming of this game.

SCS will have no competition, this game looks promising but ETS and ATS will always be the god tier truck sims, better everything

God forbid we ever get out of the truck in ATS .. god forbid we meet an NPC and agree to deliver something illegal and relive smokey the bandit.
god forbid we make UI into a phone and call port in advance so the security check gets quicker .. or dont .. and fail it ...

Idk. Maybe I try it but still prefer ETS2. ETS 2 is more variable. You can drive only or you can simulate everything. Of course you don't have hands and cannot fill your truck by yourself but SCS doesn't have engine for that.
But things like sunvisors and other things wi8be great.
