2.. Sound horn vigorously at vehicle that has pulled/cut across you, after you sped up to it..
3.. Dont look at what is going on ahead of you, beyond your vehicles bonnet..
The brake pedal must always come last.....
And 4, when you actually catch evidence of a crash that could help the innocent party. Press save. Drive on laughing and upload to CZcams.

Well, at least it's basically the same in the UK as it is in America. When somebody gets a dash camera, they turn into an egotistical self-righteous prick.
No, the roads in the UK are just getting more congested, with people getting more impatient. Cars are getting bigger meaning (ideally) people have to be more considerate, but the opposite is happening. Thats why most of these clips (usually) are people going round roundabouts (which you don't have in the US, but I'm sure you fathom how they work) but people are too impatient to wait, so pull out. This compilation had a number of similar scenarious with junctions - people feel they are above waiting, so pull out, expecting oncoming traffic to stop.

Agreed. I've watched many of these videos now. In most cases the driver with the dash cam is just as much to blame for what happens to them. No courtesy, driving offensively rather than defensively. People DO make mistakes. ALL drivers do at one time or another. If ALL drivers were more forgiving, there would be a lot less problems on the road. I also think that a speeding but attentive motorist is less of a danger than motorists that are driving aggressively or not paying proper attention to the road.

Most of these dashcammers would fail their driving test and the hazard perception part of the theory.
Nothing about hazard perception it's about judging risk, then changing your driving to minimise the risk
Watching this video you are waiting for something to happen, you don't have to worry about driving, reading the road and looking out for idiots. Of course you're going to be better at spotting idiots.

a lot of the cam cars are regulars, can we have details of the cars like Make, model, colour, reg etc. just so that if we see the cam car we know to get the hell away to avoid the imminent danger that follows them around.

A lot of these incidents are more than just 'mistakes'. Regardless of what people might think of some of these 'dashcammers', don't let it deflect from some of the terrible driving captured by the cameras.

I've been watching these type of videos for some time. In that time I've learned several things. Dash cam were first utilized, extensively, in Russia, as protection from insurance scammers.
Then, they became an entertainment medium, showing the idiots who shared the road.
Then, it became what we now see. Videos showing entitled people who think their dash cams give them immunity from having to be courteous, and a safe driver.

I get the point that the cyclists in the first clip were being obnoxious and shouldn't ride more than two abreast, but she didn't do herself any favours with the excessive use of the horn and then essentially intimidating them into scattering and driving way too close to the lad on the right.. something about two wrongs don't make a right... I'd say the video incriminates Tasha for dangerous driving. And, yeah, I pity the man or woman in her life that has to listen to that foghorn of a voice on a daily basis 😬

It seems the major problem on UK roadways is too much congestion and drivers that aren't willing to drive at the speed limit so cars can merge into traffic safely. A lot of rude and inconsiderate driving going on.

I would scream at that idiot on the bike as well, coming from an ex cyclist (aka roads are too dangerous) and a pedestrian myself. You're supposed to Stop, Look and Listen for traffic and follow the rules of the highway code. Sadly kids these days are pretty much self entitled mememe whiners who are incapable of surviving without their nearly surgically implanted phones.

The weird thing is that it if the Luton van had been on the correct side of the road, it wouldn't have been able to avoid the nutter in the other van!

0:30 Andy F is driving too fast. When you are flying past everyone else then that should be a clue. And once the guy realised he had pulled out in front of you, flashing your lights and tailgating is hardly helpful
even so, the guy in the range rover cannot read signs, trying to switch into a lane that dissappears in less than 400yards, what a bellend.
@@Holtii14 the range rover seemed to be moving out to give space for the stationary recovery vehicle and the vehicle that was pulling away from the incident. His observation could have been better but the fact remains that if Andy hadn't have been booting it then there would have been no issue.
Yes, I don't think the Range Rover driver did anything wrong. They were reacting to a hazard ahead that the dashcammer hadn't seen. They didn't even actually change lanes and moved over to allow the dashcammer to overtake as soon as it was safe to do so.
@shaun Allan - how fast should he have been going on that road then? I find it interesting that you claim he should have expected a vehicle to be illegally stopped in a position he couldn't see. FYI I know the road in question.

2015/1/1 just looks more like someone didn't bother setting or resetting the time to me.
Quality and resolution was much poorer in the 2015 video. Looks authentic to me.

Yes in the highway code, youre correct, when 2 lanes merge to 1 you will merge in turn almost in a 'zip style' in where it alternates from the left car to the right then to the left and so on, BUT as most people abuse this and despite seeing roadworks 200 or even 300 metres back from the merge point they wait till the last possible second to push past everyone and cut in, which is what the van was stopping you from most likely doing.
Im not saying what the van did was correct, but if less people tried to push in at the last second then people wouldnt get so defensive.

Yep, and not all lane closure signs have the 'Use both lanes' and 'Merge' signs in between either.
Diamond breed your correct, as soon as you see the sign telling you how many yards it is till it becomes 1 lane, you should merge in turn, for the people who don’t know it means as soon as you see this sign move across if and when safe to do so unless it states use both lanes like in heavy traffic
Fair play to those straddling the near side lane to prevent discourteous shit bags impatiently cutting in, imagine the difficulty that ambulance would have had getting to what could have been life or death situation otherwise.

@@TheLink1977 not really the point I was making... yes the other 2 should have merged in or continued on to merge further, but then to clearly launch forward after the ambulance had gone past to take advantage of the situation while legally there's nothing wrong it, it's just as much a move as the other 2 did. @@Akuzastar I get your point but he moved over to the left because he was in the left lane. All he did was let the ambulance through and carried on in his lane. It may piss people off but I personally think it mainly pisses of those that don't understand it's advised to do what his doing. I've been in situations where a lane is shut there's like 10 cars including myself in 1 lane and someone goes does lane 2. Doesn't bother me I do it too it in already in the lane but for 5 cars I don't bother using the other lane just because people have a ego and they don't let each other through
Just a thought though - if the car and van hadn't blocked him then none of them would have been in the lane when the ambulance came along

I would say it's debatable. Its dark and the car was side on so less visible. Had it been a car stopped in the road facing the correct way then It would be the approaching cars fault. I think in this instance the turning car will take most of the blame. He shouldn't have done that manoeuvre to begin with and impeded the other carriageway.

At 7:55, this was Roop's fault. He was going too fast for the visibility that he had. By the time that there was line of sight between him and the car with the trailer, the car had already started pulling out.

OWEN A. 7:07 just fyi the mirrors on the DAF tractor units and also MANs are such in size that they create some terrible blind spots when approaching roundabouts. Not making excuses for the driver as obviously he should have checked better but as an artic driver myself I can confirm that they've nearly caught me on a few occasions in the same scenario when at a glance either side of the mirror the rbt appears to be clear of traffic.

I hope on the first one Ben stayed as the other 2 drivers made very little attempt to stop (as he was half way through the turn so easy the other drivers should of seen him)
2nd clip doesnt look like car that moved over was a twat....looked like he was avoiding the car which had pulled out on him itself overtaking a breakdown but without any warning... you can see the range rover flashing them and seems range rover he had room to do so. Obvs things look different through a dash cam
They had plenty of time to slow down, didn't need to cut up the cam car.
Seems we have all the usual suspects here again, out there attempting to cause incidents and making the smallest of situations seem like life threatening occurrences. Some of these dashcammers have the hazard perception skills of a toddler.

It seems to me that the some of the drivers with dash cams in their car loose all their natural driving abilities, just because they have this third eye, not saying all of them, like not breaking early enough or just accelerating a bit faster and my bug bear, aiming for someone on a roundabout, when in reality they have enough time to slow down, saying that there are some idiots out there on the roads that the dash cams catch, that really need their driving license taken away. Love these videos.

I did summet stupid yesterday smh... Tried overtaking some motorbikes on a dual carriage way but then the road went up an incline so I tried to go into fourth.. Faild at that lost all my speed so I had to go back in between the bikes :(.... Sucks being a newb lol
Anyone that knows the edgware area HA8 7EQ last night i stopped at the traffic light in the main cross road and for some reason i thought it turned green and I started going the cars from other side just started too and they stopped when they saw me passing and since i was halfway after managing to kill the engine from stress started it back on and went all the way through to not block ways. Any chance cameras caught me and I’ll get the 3 points?

I learnt to drive in England and for the past 3 years been living in Toronto, this is nothing.
