I REALLY wanted to see what the "baby"looked like!!!!! 😅😅😅 this movie was AMAZING 👏
I think a bit demon satan like since they said a quote like hides like an angel but truly is the devil or something lol, idk I like to think it is

The ending was a mix of Rosemary's Baby and The Descent! I'm glad I saw it at the theater! I really enjoyed the horror trailers before the movie too! Sweeney is super talented and has a wide-range. I'm sad that people typecast her.

Looking forward to seeing this. I had already heard about it from some other horror peeps. Prostrating ones self on the floor is not unusual for a church/ convent. I guess it could be creepy to those who don't know what it is. 💜

I agree that this movie was really scary. Personally though, I think jump scares are annoying. I was disappointed when I realized there would be more than one. In my opinion, the movie more than redeemed itself with that killer ending! Gonna rewatch it with some friends soon.

I got to go see it on Thursday and absolutely loved it too!! The last like 20 minutes will live in my mind rent free, and the ending was perfect. Was not expecting the level of gore, but it was so well done. Sydney did such a fantastic job, and I see her having such an amazing and successful career in acting! And after this, possibly with producing too!
I am so impressed with Sydney and am excited to see her career grow!

I kinda thought the first act and it's scares were generic until THAT nighttime scene made me yelp! the ending had my ears ringing and palm sweating lmao, I really loved this one.
Yeah the nightmare scene and the scissor scenes both made me jump 😂
This review really makes me want to watch the movie now!
For other nunsploitation horror movies: Dark Waters (1993) Creepy Lovecraftian nunsploitation movie. It's pretty awesome.
Lucio Fulci's Demonia (1990): I don't really like this movie but you might like it. It has some neat kills though. Kind of a supernatural slasher horror with nuns and evil spirits.

Loved this movie as well. I think the 'standard religious horror' setup was intentional, to make the third act pop by comparison. The last ten minutes or so take the train to bonkersville. I loved the ending.

I loved this review! I will say there are conflicting viewpoints depending on your religion, but at least in Catholism, their version of the bible and telling of the story is God asked consent before the immaculate conception. So maybe you don't have to be AS scared of the idea of immaculate conception. 🤣🤣

I love this movie! In the first minutes, I thought it would be one more... But no. The priest, here in Argentina and Spain, is very recognized for his role in: La casa de papel (great series). On the subject of insemination, Faith must also be taken into account, perhaps it could be considered a miracle. And speaking of being a woman and not having control over your body... You saw: The Entity (1982).
I read The Entity but still haven’t seen the movie! I really wanna watch it but don’t think it’s streaming anywhere

Huh, i came here to see if anyone liked this movie. I guess im in the minority, i didnt HATE it but i didnt like it either. Slow paced, not very scary, a little predictable, and i thought Sydney was overacting.
Shocking ending just to make up for a weak movie tbh.

@mandysmorgueofhorror Well, we saw what was in the jars in the lab, those looked weird. It was one of those ugly things at full term.
I personally thought the baby looked and reminded me oddly of the same baby from Eraserhead

Honestly, the closing scene was one of my all time favourite experiences in cinima ever.
People saying that this film wasn't loud enough with its messages must have been reading completely different themes than I was.
The ultimate way to say "my body, my choice, fuck you"... With a major emphasis on the "fuck you" part.
I'm a cis man, and this hit me so hard in the gut. I can't imagine being a woman or trans and watching this film.
I'm sorry this is a Horrible movie, it was all over the place, she should have watched farmiga in the nun to learn how to act the part, 4/10.

The Bible doesn’t say anything about cloning people. Besides, calling it BONKERS would be WAY more accurate.
I didn't find this one blasphemous at all. If anything, it shows corrupt people inside the Church and how they can abuse the system and use it against women.
