The NOW Ride - LA's fastest group ride | Filmed with Insta360 X3 !

- The NOW Ride is a staple in LA's rich group ride landscape. I filmed it on the Insta360 X3 camera (safa.link/insta360-x3) which is a really good way to capture one of these rides. Usually the camera is only pointed in one direction so you miss a lot of what is happening in the group around and behind the lens but this time it's all on display.

Props to the dude that solo'd to bridge at the end. That took some serious power in the tank!
and a big pull right after as well. big move
Emmett is a beast!
Time stamp pls
I hit my maximum resting heart rate just watching you guys!
Lets give credit to the boy who bridged up and couldn’t believe it. Good Job!
Closed the gap and pulled hard af
What he did was insane!
this is when they were doing the rotations right? surprised he caught up with them!
Time for doping control 😂 srsly though, that was a yoeman fucking effort 👏
At what time in the video 🙏
This is awesome. King Safa strikes again. Faster than you downhill, uphill, and now in flat sprints
The weakest sprint in NOW history 😂
Boy, what a motivation to watch your videos.
Totally had no idea of riding my bike today ("Let's call it a restday, plus weather seems to be not so good ...").
10min of watching this video: "F...k! Have to get on my bike. NOW!" Always the same ... 😁
Thx mate! Had a great ride today.
Love2hearit
Sustained 20 mph up a 6-7% climb, awesome fitness levels!
Watching this made my tired broken body ache and set my lungs on 🔥🔥🔥!!! 😳
!!!!!!!! I can barely hold 15 mph on 6 percent for like 10 mins so these guys tough fs
@@JorgeGarcia-cl7of
Yes they are , because they ride all the time.
Love these group rides, I have recently started doing myself and it's so much fun.
Please keep posting more and you have been super inspiring.
Safa, solely responsible for making me ride 2000 more miles than I normally would every year. Always inspiring my man!!
You are the most awesome cyclist alive !! Nice mega wide camera. Really it catches the landscape. With respect from Romania. 🤩
I got dropped watching this at my desk.....spicey ride man!!!
Damn, no way I would keep up with you guys! lol. Definitely motivated me to improve. I had to look twice seeing those numbers going UPHILL! Even my wife was like "Is that normal"? LOL 😆
You will be there, just as strong.
@@indusrtial I'm working my way up. I can hit 10mph on an 8% and hold it for 30 seconds.
@@M3Atelier-Initiative that's badass, do some hill repeats and this will get you pretty fast. Start at a decent pace uphill for a certain distance and keep increasing the distance and speed. Just make sure to recover, drink plenty and be safe.
I like it at the end when you are rolling at 42-43 mph after the last climb with the final 4, and you are flicking your elbow letting them know to pull through.... LOL Super-Tuck was the only way past you for just 1 of the boys 😉 and that Sprint finish where you finally got the Win for that ride was a RAD effort for sure. Deep video!!
ok yes what is it ???

Great job filming and cycling SAFA…
This is a very compelling way to watch/experience cycling - less than an hour overall, fast & talented group, funky camera stuff happening, and an affable host & commentary. Well done. 🤙
… oh ya, and the stats overlay!
great ride my friend!...loving the 360 shots here. I just started using the X3 and loving it.
This is how i imagine swift rides should be!! Imagine playing swift with some VR on and this is the view ❤️❤️❤️
Rouvy is testing VR indoor cycling. In 5-10 years it will be on the market as VR helmets and technology improve and videocards get stronger and cheaper (VR needs 4K resolution per eye at minimum, so we need a videocard to produce 8K in total).
Shout out to Mr SAFA Brian! You are the GOAT!, years and years of riding, self improvement and careful tweaking! You are an inspiration dude because your explosive drive and quick actions count, watching your decisive moves ensured your outcome!! This was pleasurable viewing!!
@@jdivesevenine-vg3or careful twerking
So awesome! Working my way through your plague ride videos now 😎
Went for a beer after watching the ride.
I love Safa so much! ❤
That was soooo good to see a Safa win, I was on the edge of my seat at the end lol. I had to cycle back from work at midnight in the pouring UK rain, crack a beer when I landed and finish the video.
New to this channel but absolutely loving the content. No gonna lie, some of the videos scares the sh$t out of me so please stay safe and continue forever. Peace out man X
Great stuff this 77 year old ex-racer with Afib loved it. Be safe out there. Thank you. Leave your helmet on, I have seen more than a few go down just rolling in after a hard ride. One fellow just about lost a finger, another guy a broken hip, and a young woman lost her life rolling into a park at a food stop and a car took her out. She had just taken off her helmet after a hard 50. Be safe out there all the time. Did I mention his third broken hip.
debbie downer, get an ablation if you are healthy enough!
That was absolutely amazing ❤❤❤ big kudos to the guy who bridged
It's great to see how respectful the drivers were while passing! Tried to leave y'all as much space as possible.
That was amazing! On so many fronts
Why am I not surprised KingIZ has orange tires haha congrats on getting that win Safa!
Massa viu queria que aqui tivesse umas estradas assim para gente pedalar sem sem estar subindo e descendo remendo na estrada aí tá bom demais que estrada massa gostei da câmera também muito
That was an amazing performance, camera 🎥 guy..!
Amazing . Respect ✊
wonderful riding and beautiful angle by 360 camera , I love your tremendous nice video😍✨✨✨✨✨✨✨🫰💖
Thanks for sharing this with us. 🙂
Excellent quality, it tends to be a pain to dial it in but you nailed it 👍👍👍
47:45 made me jump lol, too real.
Did that ride with ya guys 2 years ago,” you guys are super fast!! It was a painful but fun ride.
I rode with you on my couch. Really nice as I like to roadbike and also like to watch other regions (houses, streets, surroundings etc.) in google maps. LA is so far away and I will never be able to ride there. So such a video is a nice thing (y). Thank you
It's winter where I live and I would do anything to ride with a group makes me miss summer so much lol 😂 looks so fun. Got myself a cannondale caad 5 switching to a specialized this new year so.
Sitting on 40-50km b4 the climb I must admit it's faster than I could manage and to much traffic for my liking, love the 360 view and I feel like I'm there. Loving the blue sky.
That POV is brutal.
Cool video!! ❤
I always support you from a far..from south Korea😊😊
Wow, the new GTA is looking awesome!!
You have an awesome camera.....i don't think ve ever seen one like that
Great / well done!
See point of big group rides as a race, only mainly!
In turkufinland took part in group rides few times but there racing seriously was frowned upon. So for those plants it was just about drafting long distance, but nobody spoke so it wasn't a social event.
Chill vibes great rides 😎
Amazing ride
Sick ride🎉
Wow super cool
As we say here in Blighty 🏴 Safa is the gaffer 👌🏻
Nice Ride! Wish I was there...
I am a beginner, and these videos motivate me to keep riding.
amazing video and cam
Great Video!
Hi Safa, what helment mount are you using?
Wow. That is pretty good horsepower!
Beast!
Supertuck going down hill 4th in line.. pretty gangsta!
30kmh up 7% (around 31:20) makes me feel like such a potato.
I go uphill with 10 kph at that slope. 😅
We love u so much champ.
Brilliant post 👍
Bring back the TOUR OF CALIFORNIA
Hey Brian love the video, keep them coming, can you tell us what selfie stick you used? THANKS AGAIN.
awesome video!!!! what software do you use to capture both KMH and MPH on your video?
keep speedmyenergy broo good job man
Of course SAFA would finish first 🚀🚀🚀
I have absolutely no experience in group rides and it always amazes me how comfortable everyone is riding in a pack at such high speeds. Going 45 mph downhill and just sort of existing with each other is a thing I've not yet learned how to do.
Yeah, definitely not something you wanna do with beginners!
It’s fun as hell.
Wide angle makes everything look as sketch as it really is, but when you're doing it, it doesn't even cross your mind.
@@mitchleblanc give it a shot _ but stay in the back until you have the fitness level
thats a win
sick camera, busy roads
Nice friendly bunch ride.
Hey, mate, do you planning to continue "escape from hollywood" saga?
No plans at the moment but Hollywood is still there
Was that a Wilhelm scream at the end?
Thanks for sharing this. Watched while on the spin bike. Matched RPM but nowhere close to matching wattage.
Is the camera mounted on your helmet? What software did you use to overlay on the video! Awesome job! Super inspiring
Hi I am from Bulgaria, liked your videos, what program you use for telemetry on video?
31:17 Unnatural right rider.
Nice camera performance anyway!
What?
hey, man, great vid! what software did you use to add the overlays? thanks!
I know Garmin's VIRB Edit lets you do something like that. You'll need your ride's .fit file. Though I'm also interested to know if he used that or something else.
Beautiful video, and inspiring riders, but you guys deserve safer roads. My heart rate climbed just watching a river of high speed traffic sliding by on the left. Come on, California, get it done.
The helmet camera gives an awesome view
Always love your videos! But I'm not crazy about the fish-eye lens. Just my preference.
That's me dropped on the first 100m of the first climb.
Insane power
Grüße aus Deutschland 🇩🇪🇩🇪😊😊
What kind of sorcery is that helmet cam !?! 🔥 …. where the heck is the mount?…. it’s like a drone is following you. I’m old.
As a beginner who has maybe 7k km under his belt, the part at 45min is sick. Almost 40kmh up that grade 4 hill is so far away from what i can do. Yes, a 350€ bike cant compete with those 5k€ and up racers but still. Inspiring to see. Thanks for sharing mate and congrats for the win!
just do 550-700 watts for 2 minutes, you got it :) (seriously though, fitness > fancy bike especially climbing).
Holy smoke. 780 watts in the end? Wow.
That Camara is 🔥 how do you add the strength and all that good stuff
What saddle are you riding with?
What type of camera is giving you these type of shots Safa?
What app is that putting the mph and data over top the video?
Yo! Enjoy riding 😊
Is the camera mounted on your helmet? What software did you use to overlay on the video?
Warm sun and unblemished tarmac. Living in the Scottish Highlands I can only dream, we have to go to Europe for conditions like that.
Cool ride for sure, but… have you ever tried MEGAVALANCHE rides? Their a bit beyond my capabilities, but look epic nonetheless. 🤘
you're a monster!!
most likely a stupid question but here I go. How you you post the real-time ride specs on the video?
Especially that altitude map where you follow along, it's so neat to see
Looks amazing, does it ever rain in California?! Feels abit weird viewing with that camera, but great to see different angles 👍
It does, but rarely during summer in Los Angeles, it usually happens in late December thru March.
@@Mario_Ramirez just like here in England then.. 😀
What mount did u use for ur insta 360? Thanks
You guys are pretty fast
scary roads with all those cars
Wondering your avg and max hr during this watts show!!
Lots of cars on those roads.
Looks like fun bro I want to join the ride. What I really want is to win it.
Fast ride, you are definitely fit. I use to do the Montrose ride when I was your age and older. Can’t do it anymore. How would you compare these two rides in speed and hardness? I’m curious. Thanks!
I think Montrose (the second half of it ~ return leg) is harder. The Now Ride isnt easier, but the climbs are. The punchy climbs on the Montrose route are leg snappers _ especially if you ride with the 8:30a group. You'll find yourself chasing a bunch of L39ION riders.
Seeing that mullet in 360 degrees for 50 minutes made me quite queasy.
