This man is so cute and wholesome I just want to wrap him in a blanket and take care of him and his animals. PS AWESOME VIDEOS PLEASE KEEP UP WITH THE AMAZING WORK!
I think it's fantastic that you're talking about this. I almost never see larger channels cover the need to research and be prepared BEFORE you make that purchase. As I transition my little fish channel into more exotics in general (as I begin aquiring reptiles and such) I fully intend on showing how I set up my animals enclosures and talking about their care even before I get them home as I feel this is essential and so few actually do or show this.
I've been looking for a good betta channel! I was given a betta and have slowly been getting him better care as I learn what they ACTUALLY need to thrive.
“BRANCH with the TRANCH” *new t-shirt logo* with illustration of Clint doing a FLINCH while picking up new spider!!🙂🙂❤️ (or, maybe a flinch with Lillith or a Dorf Ciaman from his NERD visit!!)🙂🙂🐢🐢 *WHOOOOO!*
this video came out like a year ago and I'm going through your videos to learn about possible pet lizards. I just had to comment and say that I LOVE the names you picked for your European legless lizards, they are great!
I love the energy man, and positive content, even when it's stuff I already know. I noticed this channel has started to gain momentum and I hope you continue to spread expert knowledge and wisdom while bringing us quality content. Cheers =]
We have been doing research on a leopard gecko as a pet and your videos have been very helpful. Since then, we've expanded to watching about other topics since we enjoy them so much. Maybe consider a video on salamanders sometime.. my son caught two in the front yard and they seem to be very hearty! Thanks again for great content!
I'm continually surprised how many people in Facebook groups post about animals they bought at an expo and have no idea how to care for them. Great video!
Never seen Clint so nervous 🤣😂 My two T’s are sweethearts, they’ll sometimes jump onto my hands when I do tank maintenance. Pretty lil caribena versicolors.
My daughter is 4 and loves spiders. I’ve been fighting arachnophobia my whole life but I think she’ll present an extra challenge when she’s old enough to ask for one as a pet. Thank you for sharing your tarantula!
I went to my first one a week ago. It was really small (expected for where I live) and 75% of it was made up of snakes, scorpions and spiders. I somehow managed to snag the very last Pacman frog :) had a setup ready two weeks prior. I plan to go again late april and get a little Crestie.
The cin city reptile expo is TOMMOROW and me and my friend are going and I'm getting my FIRST SNAKE for our 16th birthday! Can't wait I'm stuck between a western hognose and a California kingsnake, done research and have everything ready for both I'm just gonna pick which one I fall in love with :)
Allen J I bought a wonderful Anaconda Western Hognose at my last Expo visit as my second snake and, let me tell you, they are fantastic. They are great for beginners and intermediates alike as they show a serious amount of personality.
Absolutely! I wanted a Green Tree Python so badly but I waited 3 years to make absolutely sure it was the right time and I’m happy to say I have a beautiful GTP with a wonderful personality! I purchased her 2 weeks ago at Repticon.
Im way excited for the wasatch reptile expo in October. I've never been to an expo before. I already have a list of what I plan to come home with. All of their enclosures are set up and ready to go.
I'm pretty scared of spiders. But I've been making a lot of progress with it. And I know I've made a lot of progress because I thought "that's a really pretty spider" when you pulled out the tarantula instead of immediately exiting the video. I'm going to be going to my first expo in November, so I'm super psyched.
This is true. What Clint says is very good and valuable advice. I wanted to buy a Bearded Dragon upon an impulse at a Reptile show a couple weeks ago. I am glad I did not. Why? Because I am not home as often as I would have to be to take care of one. However, I did my research and got myself a Gargoyle Gecko and let me tell you, I love it so much! Take your time and think. Do your research! You'll thank yourself in the end. Thank you for the informative videos Clint. Love this channel, I learn a lot with each video!
Hissing cockroaches do make great pets. I got a pair wanting to breed them as feeders but grew to attached to feed them to my dragons. If you get them comfortable with you they wont even hiss when handled. They are also MUCH cleaner than people might think.
When I was a kid, I would hold dozens of different wild desert blonde tarantulas in east county San Diego, CA. And I have owned several rosehair and pinktoe tarantulas. I have never been bitten. I adore ts!
Love your choices for new pets, I've always been fascinated by legless lizards. Spiders have always terrified me, but tarantulas are starting to grow on me. Wanted to say thanks for encouraging everyone to do the right research before choosing their pets, finding the right one can be a daunting task! It made me laugh that your new tarantula makes you a bit nervous. Even after doing loads of iguana research after my got my new blue axanthic, who I've named India Opal, I was still nervous to handle her at first while working with her because I was actually more afraid to get tail whipped than bitten (kinda sad really). She's definitely one of my favorites though, I love working with her and gaining her trust. Anyways, hope you have a great weekend, just wanted to say thanks for encouraging research before buying!
Tarantulas are awesome! I have sixteen. They're mostly small slings, but a few are getting to be juveniles. It's so interesting to watch them hunt, and to see what they do with their homes. Will they web everything up? Pretend to be tiny bulldozers and move all their substrate around? They all seem to have a secret flare for interior design.
Great video, keep them coming!!!Went to my first expo ever last weekend in Hamburg,Pa. Did my research before going and like you knew what I was looking for. I wanted to get a Ball Python, corn, king,or hognose snake, some Tarantulas, and a Pacman frog. I ended up getting a beautiful little Het Ball Python, a Honduran Curlyhair tarantula, and a Striped knee Tarantula. Now I can't wait until the next show March 31, in Oaks, Pa. to get more!!! I have enclosures ready, so more snakes, spiders, Pacman frog, and a Crested Gecko are on the list this time. Maybe a leopard gecko to!!!
I am with you on tarantulas. I think spiders are amazing with all of the variation of species, the amazing adaptations to the mechanics of their movements. Buuuut I am still not comfortable handling them.
I had a rose hair for about 10 years Lay Your Hand flat and just kind of scoop behind him and they'll just walk right up on your hand without them freaking out
You should show avicularia some time, probably the cutest tarantula there is. Also jumping spiders when given a large enough enclosure space are really fun to watch! I have a p aduix in an Exo T 12"x 12" x18." Really cool to see experts on youtube sharing advice and knowledge and your enthusiasm is contagious! Just found this channel. Instant sub and notification!
I used to catch legless lizards in our garden when I was a kid. Me and my brothers always tried to keep them and made them pretty homes but our mum released them every time 😂 she's afraid of snakes and was so scared out if these guys. I tried to explain they're actually lizards but she still wouldn't allow us to keep them.
My best friend and I went to a Reptile Expo on Sunday! He got a Hognose snake, and I am deciding to get either a Bearded Dragon or a Crested Gecko the next time I am able to go! (Doing research currently)
Hi great and interesting animals with a great video to go with them. I also have a quick question for pet rating could you do one on panther chameleons they are very fascinating animals and I’m curious on there rating.
Great advice; few will listen in the heightened state of an impulse buy mode. I mean, aren't expos meant to skyrocket you to the point of not thinking and just ATMing?
I was wondering if you could do an informational video about the Madagascan Hognose snake? There really isn't much information online about having them as pets.
I absolutely love spiders but I’m also really nervous when it comes to handling them. I haven’t held mine yet, I’m always afraid I’m going to drop him or he’ll kick hairs or something. He’s a juvenile right now so he’s extra jumpy which doesn’t help lol
I think an impulse buy is ok as long as you KNOW 100% hiw to care for it, and can setup the enclosure really fast, and already have all the supplies. I'd like to hear some more opinions on this. Be nice and respectful please!
Super nice video! Thank you, it helped me! But there are no expo's in Norway.... reptiles have only been legal in Norway for 6 months, and there are only 19 different species thats legal....
Yeah... Tarantualas also always make me feel a bit uncomfortable. I mean, I do not have either reptiles or tarantulas(I do have a fishtank in my Room but that´s all, my mother is allergic to the hair of mammals like cats, dogs, and especially guinea pigs so I don´t have any of those either) but Reptiles are something I can get behind and that I sometimes would like to keep(however, my parents are not too keen on the idea of having an animal that might require live insects or dead mice to feed and also it would require another terrarium to take care of) while Tarantulas.... I know some people really like them but I´m just not feeling comfortable close to them. It might be because I live in germany and apart from crabs we don´t have any larger invertebrates around so it´s just too exotic for me but really... Anything approaching the size of my hand needs to have a proper endosceleton for me to like it...
Darthplagueis13 Honestly tarantulas freaked me out a little bit to, until I held one and realized that they are more chill than the most docile lizards, like say leopard geckos. I’m still not interested in getting one though, cause they mostly sick there, but there’s not animal that’s out to get you, like say a Brazilian wandering spider. Wandering spiders have very pissy attitudes and will consciously attack you, and tarantulas just aren’t like that.

You are genuinely the most delightful man on the planet
Christian Charlebois YES
This is the most true thing I've read in my life.
Christian Charlebois he's like the Mister Rogers of reptiles.
You all made my day. Thank you :)
Agreed! I don't have reptiles but still watch the videos :-D
Clint is the Mr. Rogers of reptile keeping
omg. I just commented this on a different video! I am so glad to see someone else feels this too.
This man is so cute and wholesome I just want to wrap him in a blanket and take care of him and his animals.
PS AWESOME VIDEOS PLEASE KEEP UP WITH THE AMAZING WORK!
Thank you so much! I hope I'd get a nice enclosure :)
how to make a bio-active clint enclosure
He’s awesome! The Mr. Rogers of the reptile world 😃
wut
Ah, he has a wife.. too bad
Just kidding offcourse, she's a lucky woman though.
Clint’s excitement level at reptile expos: supersonic

this video came out like a year ago and I'm going through your videos to learn about possible pet lizards. I just had to comment and say that I LOVE the names you picked for your European legless lizards, they are great!
When I get my first reptile it will definitely have a Tolkien inspired name
at the Memphis zoo one of there leg less lizards is named lieutenant dan
Omg I have been thinking for the longest time you remind me of someone and I finally realized it’s David Tenant! Lol that is awesome
Deals come last day at the last couple of hours.
Give ‘em the old, “the less you have to bring home the better.”
But definitely, expos are great!
I went to my first reptile show ever on Sunday! I thought of you, this video and your fantastic advice, Clint. Thanks! 💙
Man, watching you pick up the tarantula was like watching you defuse a bomb. I started sweating!
First thing to know: you will come home broke.
I love the energy man, and positive content, even when it's stuff I already know. I noticed this channel has started to gain momentum and I hope you continue to spread expert knowledge and wisdom while bringing us quality content. Cheers =]
Thank you so much! We'll do our best :)
Lizard: Deathroll, tail whip, hiss, death threats
Clint: Silly goose
Clint, we love your videos. I watch them with my five year old son. Thank you for making this fun and educational!
Oh, that is my very favorite kind of comment! Thank you for telling me that.
We have been doing research on a leopard gecko as a pet and your videos have been very helpful. Since then, we've expanded to watching about other topics since we enjoy them so much. 😂😂 I jumped when you jumped. Another great video from you and your team!
I use a European legless lizard in my education demos!! Wilson is so sweet and a delight to care for. I got my first BP yesterday at an expo! 😍
Never seen Clint so nervous 🤣😂 My two T’s are sweethearts, they’ll sometimes jump onto my hands when I do tank maintenance. Pretty lil caribena versicolors.

Uromastyx video please. nobody has a good video. and your videos are very well produced
Thank you! That will have to happen.

Dead awesome thankyou so much for the advice!
I recommend the Cali. King because they are more impressive to look at, also they get a little bit bigger. but not much for terrarium sizes.
What did you get?
MaestroCygni ended up going with a hognose
Absolutely! I wanted a Green Tree Python so badly but I waited 3 years to make absolutely sure it was the right time and I’m happy to say I have a beautiful GTP with a wonderful personality! I purchased her 2 weeks ago at Repticon.
Dude I lived in Chile for 13 years and I saw both tarantulas all the time in my back yard it was so cool
I am going in two months. I am really excited about going.
Im way excited for the wasatch reptile expo in October. I've never been to an expo before. I already have a list of what I plan to come home with. All of their enclosures are set up and ready to go.
U remind me of Elijah for the originals and vampire diaries bc ur so humble nice and noble
i only thumbs this up because the tarantula made you nervous.. lol.. love all ur vids keep going!
I went to one yesterday! It was like 80% ball pythons bit there were a few unusual things there too, including some bizarre mammals.
Omg I just love tarantula feet 🥰😅 I don't know what it is about them but looking at them makes my heart want to explode
Clint your excitement is contagious! I want to go! So do my kids!
I want a full report!
I'm pretty scared of spiders. But I've been making a lot of progress with it. And I know I've made a lot of progress because I thought "that's a really pretty spider" when you pulled out the tarantula instead of immediately exiting the video.

Thank you Clint for making the vidoes that you do. I can totally relate to how excited u get for expos. I do wish i can get more reptiles for myslf
I love your personality
Thank you!!! You're the best, Clint!
Love your choices for new pets, I've always been fascinated by legless lizards. Spiders have always terrified me, but tarantulas are starting to grow on me. One of the best reptile/animal channels on YT
6:28 Don't worry Clint, I flinched too.
I’m in the reptile hobby but have been getting into arthropods. Glad to see you got one :)
Great video. Perfect timing with Expo season upon us. We're heading to Tinley Park in a few weeks for our first "major" reptile show.
In the state I live in, it's expo season all year long!
Legolas and Gimli the legless lizards. I love that🙂

Congrats on the new friends!
You are so happy!
That is true :)
I love going to Reptile Expos
I LOVE REPTILE EXPOS!!!!! I'M GOING TO ONE NEXT WEEKEND!!!!! YAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!! Lol
Went to my 1st expo, the CRBE, In September. I'm going to my 2nd the weekend October 14.
I have one of those tarantulas (it’s a baby though) I do have a rosehair currently though (I have 15 Ts total)
Legolas the legless lizard 😂
I'm reading a thesis about geckos so I will be shure what kind of lizard fits me the best. This channel is a great help to :p
I used to catch legless lizards in our garden when I was a kid. Me and my brothers always tried to keep them and made them pretty homes but our mum released them every time 😂 she's afraid of snakes and was so scared out if these guys. Literally I jumped up and down thinking about the reptile expo and it’s this summerrrrrrrrrr it’s like a few months away
I would really appreciate if u could make a video about the King snake.
Coming soon :)
Clint's Reptiles super because I am thinking of maybe gettin a Mexican black king snake
Hi great and interesting animals with a great video to go with them.
I also have a quick question for pet rating could you do one on panther chameleons they are very fascinating animals and I’m curious on there rating.
We will for sure.
Im so excited to go to my first expo in august :D Congrats on your new critters c:
NARBC in two weeks! My family and friends can't understand my excitement either. 😁
I'd love to see where/ how you keep all your reptiles.
So are you getting an Aragorn next time?
Seems about right :)
The expo i'm going to is 2 months away but i'm sooooo exited
I like tailless whip scorpions
Can you do a review on kingsnakes, your videos are so amazing and theyre helping me convince my mum to let me have a snake xD
We sure will!
Great advice; few will listen in the heightened state of an impulse buy mode. I mean, aren't expos meant to skyrocket you to the point of not thinking and just ATMing?
Is it appropriate to walk around an expo asking "have you seen my black mamba?"
Lmaooooooooo
Get praying mantis!!! I have 3, a ghost mantis, Orchid Mantis, and Giant Asian. I got the ghost mantis at a reptile expo.
I was wondering if you could do an informational video about the Madagascan Hognose snake? There really isn't much information online about having them as pets.
I will have to cover them in the future.
I’m going to The Greenville show on Sunday
top five arachnids
expo season yay
I think we have those in the UK we call Them slow worms. The legless lizard I mean
One of my buddies just got a ‘teenage’ Goliath bird eater!
A video on tarantulas would be neat; maybe it would help people like me who are terrified of spiders 😫
You are like so cool
I absolutely love spiders but I’m also really nervous when it comes to handling them. I haven’t held mine yet, I’m always afraid I’m going to drop him or he’ll kick hairs or something. He’s a juvenile right now so he’s extra jumpy which doesn’t help lol
I've been curious for awhile now, do you have any tortoises Clint? And when compared to other reptiles, how hard are they to take care of?
I do. You're going to like this week's video :)
Does your legless lizard have the same as Emily's from Snake Discovery?
I love your laugh 😬
I think an impulse buy is ok as long as you KNOW 100% hiw to care for it, and can setup the enclosure really fast, and already have all the supplies.
I'd like to hear some more opinions on this. Be nice and respectful please!
Would you consider making a video on the pros and cons of keeping tarantulas?
5:56 what kind of crazy position did you have to get into to have your palm face up like that?
Super nice video! Thank you, it helped me! But there are no expo's in Norway.... reptiles have only been legal in Norway for 6 months, and there are only 19 different species thats legal....
That's a start!
can you make a tour of where you keep all your reptiles and their enclosures?
So would it be OK for people who do not plan on buying anything and just want to look
Are you, or did you already, do a best pet spider video?
Could you share which breeder you purchased your glass lizards from? I haven’t been able to find any and I was hoping to find a quality source for one.
