You guys are so RAD!
Best reptile content on CZcams. Upfront, honest and realistic about what it takes to keep animals, but also enthusiastic and FUN. Someone else said Mr. Rogers, but my first impression was Young Bill Nye. :)
Kathy Schloss Clint needs a full time tv show on animal planet
Olive Jarbly it'd be a lot better than a good deal of what modern animal planet is putting out. I'd actually put him on par with "The Most Extreme".
Dost The Most Extreme with Steve Irwin vibes!
I found this video on Chameleon Hasty Hacks - there plenty more good videos there that should help out
@@whitefrog3814 no bill nye is a legend
I swear he says every time animal he showcases an animal he says it's one of the best pets on earth.
I love that attitude.
Except green iguanas! But the video layout is still very informative. One of my favourite reptile youtubers!
Zack yes, yes he does
5:23 “A lot of chameleons can be very fragile, prone to... *_dying_*
Lol
green bean boi he’s right though, was gonna get a cham, got a bearded dragon instead
My veiled cham was super hardy. One of the easiest pets ive ever owned!
When I was a young boy: I had Steve Irwin telling me how beautiful big lizards were
Now as an adult: I have Clint to tell me all about beautiful smaller lizards
That is good company!
This brings me such happiness in all honesty. I have such a love for these scaly creatures that it startles my boyfriend. Although I would not own a majority of them, I would not mind working with them at a rescue!!
thats honestly a great way to put it.
I read that first part to the tune of Black Parade and was confused.
Two fantastic people!
Uromastyx number 1 reptile for sure. Perfect size, great temperament, rad looking, and vegetarian to top it off. One of the most prehistoric looking lizards too. I love mine.
Those jeweled Lacertas are seriously cool. Picked one up after hearing your suggestion and he is the most active, and funny creature . Literally wags his tail when he gets excited like a dog.
Need to know how your Lacerta is doing now!
*reads care sheet about random lizard* Meh. *sees same lizard on Clint's Reptiles* I NEED ONE!
I love this!
Australian water dragon = mini Godzilla
If you want to see a a godzilla like lizard , you can check my ig @rajaspets
@@rajananga you are awesome!
He should have a tv show
I adore the jeweled lacerta's colors. But i can't stop going back and look at the cuban false chameleon. What an interesting cute little face!
Aren't they so amazing?!?
Yes! I just love the ones that look like they got a longer "snout" ^^
Then these guys were made for you :)
1:41 "They're very soft for most of their body, then they've got this tail that looks like some sort of a medieval weapon." 😂
I watch your videos for two reasons: 1) I love lizards. 2) Your energy and enthusiasm overall is amazing and makes me happy. Stay amazing dude.
Thank you so much!
Now that you’ve done lizards, can you do “Five More of the Best Pet Snakes”?
For sure!
Clint's Reptiles HELL YEAH
@@ClintsReptiles what would be the best reptile that wont need insect feeder for a young girl. Im turning 14 in February so I really want a reptile.
@@katieoliva8457 maybe a crested gecko? they eat premade powder foods that you mix with water i think
@Katie Oliva a crested gecko or a blue tongue skink or a uromastyx..all of them also eat insects but can live without them.
I love the Cuban false chameleons! They are so naturally docile, it's unbelievable.
Susiedhdldbdif
Man, that Australian Water Dragon is one of the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen. The striking facial markings behind the eyes, the spines all down the back, and I mean, it’s a black, white, and red lizard. How much cooler can it get? Oh yeah, it swims, too. What a marvelous animal. I haven’t had the opportunity to keep a reptile before, but once I have the income and a good place to keep one (I currently don’t have AC, and I could never put a lizard the temperature swings I deal with in the summer; it would be impossible to keep its enclosure stable), I would love to look into keeping one of them. Definitely one of the coolest animals I’ve had the privilege of learning about. Keep up the amazing content!
You're awesome! I totally agree.
If you want to see a a godzilla like lizard , you can check my ig @rajaspets
Is the bearded vulture the first.
Never even heard of them until yesterday but i prefer the color of the Chinese water dragons i have two of those!
You're my go-to guy for any kind of reptile related things.
I love that Australian Water Dragon... The patterning on it is gorgeous.
Ive never seen those water dragons before. They're so ridiculously beautiful.
Cool! The Cuban false chameleon made this list! They seem like very cool reptiles, and VERY underrated. Frankly I wouldn’t have known they existed beforehand if I hadn’t subscribed to a certain educational snake channel.
We might just be headed to hang out with that certain snake channel later this week...
Clint's Reptiles Really?! Now you’ve gotten me very excited! I hope we’re talking about the same channel! Are you perhaps going to meet with a nice young lady named Emily?
If we're not thinking of the same channel, then there are a lot of coincidences here :)
Clint's Reptiles There sure are, sir! I can’t wait for this crossover! I expect the happy passion from both of you to be bleeding through the screen! :D
So excited!
I love my Mali uromastyx! I've had him for 15 years. Once we got the tank and lighting set up, he's been pretty low maintenance. He eats mostly kale, carrots, and bird seed. Never once has he been aggressive or bitten anyone in the 15 years I've had him and we've handled him a lot. We can leave him when we go on a weekend trip and not worry about him and maybe have someone check on him and his lighting once within the week if we're gone. He's perfectly docile while he gets his claws trimmed by our vet. 10/10, in my book.
this channel is gonna explode eventually
Thank you! It just keeps growing, and we just keep going :)
I am here from the future. You are absolutely correct- this channel is amazing
@@ClintsReptilesYou have such a baby face in this video 🥰
Prophetic
Totally did ❤
Your content is awesome! You’re like the Mr. Rogers of reptiles and that is a total complement.
I wouldn't take that any other way! Thank you so much, neighbor :)
The highest compliment! 😆
Great description!
This has got to be greatest pet reptile channel in the world :p
My jeweled lacerta is always out and about during the day. She really just hides early in the morning and in the evening before she sleeps
I’m so glad that you showed a different option to chameleons. I’ve always wanted to get a chameleon but just listening to you talk about the The breaded anole, definitely changes my mind! Keep up the great work!
They are a fantastic alternative!
This convinced me. Jeweled Lacertas might just be my favorite lizard to own. Can't wait.
That jeweled lacerda is soooooo gorgeous, that pattern really looks like some traditional beaded jewelry. ✨
bro I FLIPPED when I saw the Jeweled Lacerta! I had one and he was AMAZING!!!! what a critter he was...
Clint do a vid on collard lizards thanks
Literally every animal you brought out today looks like an actual dinosaur. Great video, Clint!
I live in Phoenix, AZ and the Uromastyx is perfect for our climate, and we can even set up safe outdoor enclosures for them to bask under the sun in the summers for their UVA/UVB needs, and warmth needs. They are pretty cool lizards, too.
My favorite lizard ever was my rescue white throated monitor. She was curious, laid back, companionable, and affectionate. Her size made her a pain somewhat. She had a setup in one end of the living room, had free run when i could watch her (easy since she followed me). She came when I called mostly (expecting scritches). And often slept across my lap. One of my neighbors brought her a whole chicken or rabbit ever week, so she ran to the door when people knocked. She was also filthy, her poop was gross, her care was rather expensive. But she made up for it.
She was an adult when i got her, and lived another 15 years.
I've had other lizards since. I also loved my chuckwalla, and my rescue green iguana (so expensive to feed, but they shared diets).
While not handleable, i also had a 250 gallon planted tank with various anoles, skinks, house geckos, toads and grass snakes. Also free range tokays in the house. The kids learnt quickly to respect the bark lol.
This video has turned me onto Australian Water Dragons! I'd love to see an in-depth video just on them! could be next up on my most wanted reptiles list!
Yes caiman lizards....love em
P.s. this is one of the few animal related channels i constantly give a thumbs up, your content is honest for better or worse you let ppl know whats going on. Mad respect keep up the excellent work!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that feedback. We just want people to make the right choice when it comes to a pet reptile. That can make all the difference.
Please do a video on big lizards
Clint's Reptiles not a problem, you guys keep the bar high and we will keep watchin
This man's passion for these lizards made me enjoy this video way more. Thank you
This guy is fun. I want to hang out with Clint and talk about reptiles.
Mate, those water dragons are something I see in my backyard or down in the park. Also that false chameleon is, stunning. You also just got a new subscriber😁
I'm so glad that you had water dragons
Love your videos! Learning about new species and how to care for them. You're real and honest about things, makes this one of my favorite reptile channels available. Keep up the awesomeness!
Hands down the most enjoyable and informative videos on CZcams about reptiles.
That Caiman lizard is unbelievable 😵 Can’t wait for the video!
Can you please do top 5 big lizards
That is a great suggestion!
I absolutely love your enthusiasm! Thanks so much for the GREAT videos!!
You're so RAD! So much good information, so clear and honest! Love that!
Really enjoy your videos, can't wait for the one on the Australian Water Dragon
Could you next time include the tank sizes you’d recommend? It would be really helpful. Awesome vid thanks.
I think he has individual videos on most of these lizards.
I swear your enthusiasm is just so contagious and adorable, like you have that child like love for them it’s so endearing
I know it's an older video, but when I'm anxious you help a bunch. Thanks!
I have a uromastyx and he's so amazing! He's honestly perfect
How expensive was the setup? Looking for one. But looking at the equipment like UVB and dehumidifier
@@GR-uc1gq you don't need a dehumidifier. It was probably $100 ish total. The most expensive things were the heat mat for under the tank and the tank itself. You can get plant heating mats off Amazon instead of the reptile branded heat mats which are way more expensive. For substrate I just use seeds because he can eat them.
@@GR-uc1gq A good adult Uro tank needs to be 2ftx2ftx4ft at a minimum. It can be a bit expensive. You also have to replace the UVB regularly. They really don’t eat insects, but you need to constantly give them varied fresh veggies (become a vegetarian, it helps!)
How's his personality as far as liking to be handled , or enjoying attention ?
You should use a heat bulb instead really they love to bask and need really hot temps
Another excellent video! Great information. Thanks for posting.
You're very welcome. Thank you so much for watching, and taking the time to tell us that!
Omg!!! Absolutely LOVE your channel!!! You speak so much passion into these reptiles!!
i always love watching your videos clint!! you make me smile! we need more positive people like you in this world 👍
Dang it now I have to go research Australian water dragons!!
Great video, as always.
Because you did a part two of the best pet reptiles. You should do a 5 more best pet reptiles for beginners.
That's a good idea.
Great idea! Maybe underrated beginners? Like they could possibly be expensive upfront but over all are for beginners? Just an idea?
Love that idea!
These videos are great. I have rewatched several times between my family of accounts. Very smoothing and uplifting.
i always watching your videos clint!! you make me smile! we need more positive people like you in this world 👍
Please do a video solely on the false chameleon!!! Your vids are amazing!!
Thank you so much! We will for sure!
You are my heroes!!!!!!!!! i was re-watching your old one over and over hoping for a top 10!!!!!!!! I love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are awesome! They are fun videos to watch :)
i know i watch them three to four times a week. i want a lizard or snake so badly but i don't want to be the crazy reptile lady by getting like 80 of the coolest reptiles. i want the one that is going to be perfect for us (me, my husband, and my 3 year old son) i watch your videos constantly and read everything i can and your videos really are a joy :D
You are perfect! Thank you for being awesome. This honestly makes me so happy to hear :)
Great vid as always!!!!! Love all the info you have!!!!! Learn tons from you Clint!!
Thank you for putting this video together, very educational. As always, your enthusiasm comes through so strongly, and is one of the many aspects that make your videos so enjoyable.
You're welcome! Thank you for taking the time to give us this awesome feedback!
I love your content! Keep em' coming!
Thank you so much! We will do our best!
Awesome video, I subscribed keep up the awesome videos
I can't wait to see a video all about the Australian water dragon! He is so rad looking!!!
Love your videos. Keep it up!!
Great Vids. Love the Lucertas of Europe and the Caiman Lizard.
I love these types of vids!
How could anyone love geeking out over some of the coolest animals on the planet?? I just don't get that (oh, wait, I totally get that!)
@@ClintsReptiles (Laugh noise)
I love this channel already haha
Good video as always!
Absolutely loved this video. You mentioned a while back that you'll be doing a collab with Snake Discovery at some point. Maybe you guys could talk about how you each got to where you are in terms of knowledge of and experience with reptiles? As time goes on I realize more and more that I would like to work with reptiles for a living, but I really don't know where to start as far as getting comprehensive education in that field.
That is a great suggestion!
3/5 snail eaters. Let's see some snail-keeping videos!
Uromastyx are amazing, and probably my top lizard pick, the colours alone are wild! The different species part is important, some are much more easy to acclimate to handling.
I love how you cover a short pros and cons list. It’s part of what makes your channel one of the best reptile channels, in my opinion. Keep doing what you’re doing, your videos are amazing.
Dude I urkhfrkrhrdhfrkdj0
Fhckfjffjfjruffihirurhfuuddofufirordhxh
Australian water dragons are my all time favorite lizard, just like you said its a shame that there arent a lot people breeding them especially in canada. I did encounter one in a shop and they go for 400-500$ + :(
Jewelled lacerated looks like a cross between sully from monsters inc and a barcode 😂😂😂
Love your channel!!👍
These are so cool! I'm so happy to see a lacerta made your list! I had a pair as a kid that I loved. I had a jeweled amevia too. I'd love to see you talk about them. Mine was really beautiful.
Love your videos! I wish I were financially able to have every lizard you talk about. I do have a 2 year old bearded dragon and a 3 month old leopard gecko. My babies!
This morning I lost my crested gecko to intestinal impaction he made heaven a lot brighter
I’m really sorry to hear about that Sara. But the silver lining is that hopefully we can learn from each other’s experiences. Did your gecko live on a sand substrate, or do you have an idea of what caused the impact Ion?
Yur videos are prolly top 3 most informative bro💪🏽
This video was......... FANTASTIC
That made my day!
Great vid. I live in Australia and own a large Water Dragon. They actually get a fair bit bigger than the one you showed. Up to 90cm. Great pet tho. Active and has never biten me once. They can put on weight once older though so dieting sometimes is needed.
sounds interesting, what does it eat? do you feed them legit meat? and what kind, I am expecting chicken pieces, rats, mice or maybe freshwater fish
Those are some amazing lizards 🦎 I wish I could have all of them😂😀😀🦎🦎🦎
I know the feeling!
That Caiman Lizard is my favorite. He's a big boy. Absolutely beautiful. The size of an iguana and looks like a Tegu and you won my heart when you said he was semi aquatic. I'm sold!!! Where can I get one!!! I no longer want a bearded dragon!!
love the list keep up the good work clint!! :)
As a beginner who has never kept reptiles, I'm really interested in the bearded anole, but there is not much information out there about keeping them as pets.
That is one of the biggest cons. But they are fantastic!
The only other place I have heard about them is on Snake Discovery's channel. They have a video on getting in a breeding group and setting them up.
hey, while i am not a beginner, but im still pretty inexperienced, but I think i can help you. bearded anoles have very similar husbandry to thier cousins the knight anole, and to a degree, green anoles. I'd look up some caresheets on knight anoles, because again, very similar husbandry requirements to bearded anoles
A 3rd episode pls!!!!
Love the channel brother so glad I found it!! You have a awesome personality and a lot of interesting information!! god bless
The water dragon looks so amazing! I’m definitely going to be doing research on these beauties! I love this channel.
Another awesome video :)
If i may suggest; can you do videos on Black Milk Snakes and pink tongue skink, maybe do a blue tongue vs pink tongue video too?
Those are fantastic suggestions!
Hey Clint and Co! I was wondering if you could do a video on Kimberley Rock Monitors? Or maybe even a video covering the best monitor lizards you can get?
Keep up the spectacular work, and remember; blinking is for mortals!
Those are great ideas. Best monitors is a real possibility in the future. 8)
Amazing video as always Clint!
Love the bluey on the first one of these videos. We get to see them in our backyard down here and they are always so cool
I love reptiles 😁
Me too!
Please a video about the waterdragon
Deal :)
Thankyou for this vid, it was awesome!
You're very welcome! Thanks for taking the time to tell me that :)
Great videos man!
Glad to see the Anolis I sold you are doing well! When they have their own video (which they totally should) you should mention that they have toe pads with lamellae and setae similar to geckos. You should also mention that they can be sexed right out of the egg. When I was looking for a male a couple online companies were offering babies but didn't know how to sex them which was pretty disappointing to say the least. Great video!
They are so fantastic! I'm really loving them. So many great things to mention in our full video on them.
Do you have a website or FB page your possibly selling from?
can't wait for a full video!
Top Ten Sequels Of The Century
I kept Euromastix for years & absolutely adored them. In between fresh fruits & veggies, I fed mine baby food. No additives or preservatives, lots of variety. He especially loved Turkey, peas, beets & sweet potatoes. I think this reptile is a nice alternative to bearded dragons for a change. 👍💕😎
I absolutely adore your love for animals. Subscribing ❤️
Thanks for helping me choose my first reptile baby, I’ve been researching all types for years and this is one of the most informative and helpful vids I’ve watched
I have thought of getting all of these some time but... space is a thing thats not unlimited
