Certainly demonstrates incredibly well that with the right methods, the old fashioned methods work. However, modern solutions are still developed to make things easier, and create a better result.

I agree fixture table systems are fantastic. It’s the best tool that I purchased for my small workshop. All my work is so good now. All my junk just collects in the old table. I will never go back.

This looks like the slow way to build a box frame. Those fixture tables make it look easy. So you have to weld a stop to the table every project? Then grind it off? Fixture tables have the holes to do this faster.

Welding jigs are a necessity for building things straight, but they are not flawless. The problem is, a welding jig donesn't reduce mechanical stress to zero and it does not measure and report it. A perfectly straight and square thing laying in the jig may turn out to be not so straight and square after being released from it :) Another problem is that even if the geometry if fine, the internal stress is not. For example, a frame like this will likely have a tendency to bend the ribs inside. In that case it requires a thermal post-processing, basically, re-heating the offending welds with acetylene or TIG torch while having a thing you build heavily clamped to the jig. Sometimes even this is not enough and it requires a modified jig that allows to apply opposite deformation forces that overcompensate stresses from these welds during re-heating.

Cool... but I'd certainly like to see you make the same piece he asked the other shops to make. I am not a metal worker in any way, but I have enjoyed following this drama, and so far - that I have seen - no one who is really upset at the expensive table guy has actually built the exact piece to spec, with their ownb methods and tools, and then shown that it meets those specs.
That could settle all of this. All of the metal people on YT who think he is a tool, or wrong, or whatever... just make the project and show the proof that you met the plans he gave those shops, and show that you did it with your own tools.
Once that has been shown, the debate ends.

Where's the end product? Weld it up, and show the product is in spec, flat and square. You didn't. You talked shit about the FB guy jason, who did show the results. Hell, you making a show of using the square. But, your square went into the radius of the tubing. That wasnt even an accurate verification.
Jason FB guy is promoting good fixture tables and tools. Take that out of the argument. He hired SIX fab shops make the squares/squares with legs. All six failed to meet a standard in multiple ways. Do you agree there is something wrong when our industry is that unreliable?
You forgot to mention Jason FB guy had an employee with little fabrication experience meet the standard when he used tools that were designed to remove variables. He showed the results.
My impression of your video is that your ego was bruised, and this video is a knee-jerk reaction. That's fine. But, you could have taken the challenge and shown us your results. You didn't.
On a side note: if your defense for not investing in good tools is your employees will steal them, then invest in good employees. Pay more for better quality people. Get cameras and fire the thieves, file charges against them.
Again, this video did nothing to support your argument. You are absolutely right that extra time cuts into profits. But, 2 rejected parts and zero payment cuts into profit more.
I weld/fabricate food/pharma grade stainless products with 1/16" specs, 1/32" flatness and less than 1 degree. My fixture table at work isn't a fixture table. It's a heavy large weld table with holes creating a circle around the center. It's mostly flat. The owner doesn't supply good fixture tools. We're not allowed to weld to the table. Angle iron is slightly warped usually. The result is more time, less profits. And, the welders are blamed. Did I mention it's stainless? The distortion is a constant battle. I actually give a shit about producing a quality build. But, I'm looking at leaving this company because the owners have your mentality.
