Hey great question so this is what I would do. There are lots of welding shops around that are desperate for help. I don't know what your living situation is, but you might have to move to where the work is. There are a lot of welding shops that will hire people that have not too much experience, but not too little experience. As long as you could read a tape measure, speak english. And show. Up on time, everything else will fall into place. I hope that helps let me know if you have any more questions. Also on a side note, there are a lot of general contractors. Who like to have someone on their staff that can weld

I recently picked one of these up, while visiting a local pawnshop. I've been using a little ESAB suitcase welder for some time in my home shop, due to me being too lazy to install the correct 50amp receptacles in my walls (since the shop builder installed the incorrect ones). Anyways, this little titanium welder IS AWESOME!!! I agree 100% with your opinions on this little inverter welder. It welds far easier than the ESAB inverter "suitcase" that I've been using, and is easy to strike and most important, maintain a consistent arc strength. Thumbs up and thank you for your review.

Hey great question. I wouldn't even begin to know where to tell you the Horsepower of this tool when I do my work. I typically go by the feel of how much pressure I need to apply and how much material I'm moving and that will pretty much determine how much pressure I need to run through the tool to achieve the results I want. I hope this helps sorry, it's kind of vague. Thanks for the comment and the view.

@shermanyoung8185 3/32 mostly hobart. Some hobart rod is higher amp rated to gotta watch it. Most 7018 burn good at 80 amps which this can't hit. 70 is the low end and you will find in some situations it won't hold a arc well. Smaller rod or run 7014. Hi! Do you know an electrical angle grinder for these disks with a geometry like this (of a grinder)? I can't stress it enough how a small gearbox is important in an angle grinder, this allows for so much access at such angles... this must be perfect for cleaning fillet welds etc.

Would be even better if you could somehow include a positive stop so you get the notch depth correct every time... assuming you're gonna be doing a ton of notching that is.

That is some great advice. But on this particular project, it's kind of a one-off and I just wanted to push all the way through and so I went ahead and took the shoulder off and it seemed to work okay. Thanks again for the comment and the view

as a tig welder just gonna give you some tips, try some more post flow maybe around 5-8 seconds or so and if your working with CFH as a gas flow measurement its the size of the cup so #8 x 2 so 16 CFH of gas if your using LPM measurement its the same as the cup size so #8 is 8LPM and for stainless id also recommend using a bigger cup 12 or 16 with a gas lens have a good at BBW furick cups for example and the stickout of your tungsten should be the same size as the inside diameter as the cup AND a rule of thumb i heard from my instructor when learning it goes "Slag drag Gas push" basically you should move forward with your arc not pull back hope this helps

I personally like fusion on light to med jobs. If the metal has angles that will have weight to it, I will add filler in most cases

Hey, thanks for the comment and the view much appreciated. Feel like in some cases, fusion wealth are absolutely perfect. Because you can have a strong weld with no visible footprint, if that makes sense. Thanks again.

Yes, I use the the Hobart brand or the Tillman brand the Hobart version is available at tractor supply. The Tillman is available pretty much at any welling supplies store. They work very well. However, they seem to wear out and get destroyed relatively quickly. I hope that helps thanks again.
