That lip liner is indeed a beautiful color, I just feel like if I buy something called TAUPE and its a warm brown then evil wins.
Ahahah! I was thinking exactly the same. Where in the world is that remotely a taupe?
Being a non-native English speaker, way back in the beginning of makeup CZcams I was introduced to the word “taupe” - we don’t have an equivalent in Portuguese. I even had to look it up (CZcams was still in 480p or something), and was fascinated by the colour itself. It was a huge trend on the early days, everything started with a taupe 😂

I've basically been raving to anyone who will listen to me about how well the O'Keefe's Lip Repair balm works at soothing painfully dry lips. I mean, like, my lips were red and irritated from the parched, furnace-dried air all winter until I tried this balm. The relief was noticeable in just a few hours of applying. I also layered with petrolatum at night, like I always do. They have a couple of flavors, a flavorless option, and I think they just came out with an SPF option. It's seriously legit. Hope this rec helps anyone looking for a replacement if your Aquaphor or petrolatum are insufficient!!
so true about the all nighter setting spray!! I now only spray it onto my beauty blender and pat it on as opposed to spraying it all over my face
I love, love, love the Auric Glow Lust. The only reason why I needed to get a new one is because I dropped my other one in the toilet (we won't talk about that).

Wow it’s wild how under tones can change a lip liner. I love deep taupe but it looks so different on my. It crazy. So pretty on you.
I LOVE the Tower 28 SOS spray. It has literally saved my skin. I use it morning and night, and I even use it to set my make up. The SOS cream is just the right consistency for me in the winter, but a little too heavy for the summer. I cannot wait to try the lip balm!
I absolutely ALWAYS love your reviews Alex. You’re the BEST. I recently bought the Trader Joe’s vanilla lip mask. It’s soooooo good & very hydrating not sticky at all. I put it on before bed & I wake up still feeling hydrated with it. You can use it as a lip gloss too if you want. 💖😊

That Milk setting spray has been my holy grail for so long, and I feel it’s been flying under the radar. Biggest downside is it’s quite expensive, and at times it clogs (which, for the price, shouldn’t happen). But it sets beautifully, doesn’t alter the finish of the makeup underneath - which I feel happens with most setting sprays -, and actually makes it last way longer than any other (maybe except my Kryolan setting mist which is very hardcore, for stage makeup, and feels too much like a hairspray for the face to be comfortable to wear everyday). That with a gripping primer and a good powder (Huda) are my go-to combination for proper longevity in hot humid days.
I have oily skin, just for reference.

Newbie here! 🙋🏻♀️ Just came to say that I share the same rediscovering lip liner experience, but with NYX Los Angeles (my hometown, woot!) I wear it alone because it makes my skin and makeup pop. And it looks to be the same exact color as your Anastasia liner. We are winning!
Just curious- how’s the spray component on the Milk Makeup setting spray? It’s on my list of things I’d like to try.
And… Hot take😬 Urban Decay needs to update the spray component, great formula but there are so many newer setting sprays that have such a fine mist.
Love your videos and have sent you more fans. I love contour sticks, but I, too, have trouble finding the right tone that is not too warm. My fave is Em Cosmetics in Terra(highly recommend if you have not tried or it's been a minute). I know you have liked some of her other products. Finally ran out of the Em one and every time I keep trying to find one that I like better, have not yet. Did like the Charlotte Tillbury contour wand, but it leaked almost immediately, so not a fan of the packaging. I also love KBeauty & wondered which ones you like best in the Korean world, since you & I are both fans.

I do something similar with the lips. I use milani spice, Maybelline born with it lipstick and then I blot undressed pink. Its messy because of the pink but after wearing and the glossy wears off, you just touch up! I think your lips look great!

I’m going to do this combination with my new CT pillow talk fair lipstick- I’ve been wearing it with the lipliner - but it’s so pink and not very sophisticated….i think this idea will look fabulous- thank you so much

Ok fine I’m sold. I need more setting spray and have been using All Nighter religiously but I love Milk cause they are vegan and cruelty free and have never had a bad suggestion from Alex!

Have you already done a full skincare review of E.L.F.? I would love to know what you think. I'm currently using their Holy Hydration for my day cream and I'm not in love with it. I use the Tatcha Dewy cream at night, though, and love my skin now.
I am obsessed with their setting spray! They have several, but this is in the black bottle for 10 bucks. I'd never used one before, and when I use that, my make-up lasts a full 24-hours. It's amazing.
Also, have you ever tried the Bigelow & Co. lip balm from Bath & Body Works? I've been obsessed with that for several years. I wear Bare Mint 1648. It's sheer enough to wear every day, but also has a small amount of glitter, but not too much to look garish. And the mint sweetens your breath, too. Just thought you may like it.

I'm at the age where straight up highlighter always shows texture. I found that mixing a liquid highlighter (Saie) with my moisturizer gives me a nice "lit from within" glow that doesn't accent texture. I think you're a few years away from having issues with texture on the daily 😂. Hope that helps!
