- This is my first look at the Helite Backpack Airbag that I ordered at the beginning of January 2023. It did arrive without the user manual and tools, but I have worked much of it out myself.

I have seen the Fortnine video about these airbags. I use Fortnine for parts and accessories a lot, wife thinks I own stocks in them. That looks like a handy bit with the sack on it. Will be interested in how it fits on biking jackets, keep us informed.

ive had the helite vest and jacket for years now outstanding piece of kit and peters a great guy to deal with a highly recomended bit of gear love it great review

Accidentally set my vest off when I dropped my bike (vest was tethered to my bike). Had a spare bottle and NOT reading the instructions set that bottle off too! Glad I have it as being 76 I don't heal as fast as I did when I was 30
Interesting piece of kit. You would think each set would come with a spare bottle as you know just about everyone will forget to unclip the lanyard from the bike and have an accidental inflation. I think I have seen the jacket version in use on the Super BIke races.

Great review of the Airbag, what will they think of next?
I known this is all subjective but I always remember reading a letter in Bike about a lad who lost his arm due to a rucksack when he came off his bike, the handlebars got caught in the straps and dragged him. In the end he committed suicide.This is not a social media story. We never wear any ruck sacks or any thing like this that can get caught during a spill. My Mrs does not even wear her handbag around her shoulder. We come off there are no straps that can get caught in anything. I would not advise anybody to wear a rucksack or the like on their back, I would also advise anyone not to ride a bike without gloves but they do. People do what is right for them. An interesing video none the less, many thanks.

That looks a very well thought out idea! I could not help noticing that you already have very good frontal protection, will this device cause discomfort should it go off when you hit the ground?Chris B.

I believe the backpack must not be worn with any other articles of clothing. States right in the owners manual..... :):):)

The air leaks out and you reassemble it then insert a new cartridge and it's ready to go. The co2 canister is the only part that you cannot reuse.
I miss the chock board endings

I can see the benefits of this airbag rucksack, but it's too much fluffing about for me, and I don't like carrying rucksacks on my back.

I think she is not going to want a full Turtle 2 so this offers a good option and we can take some stuff in it for a day trip and maybe lose the topbox 🤗😉Can't find the "living with it" update ? Sounds quite expensive but what price can you put on your personal safety? Let's hope you never need a replacement canister and stay safe.
Quite a Good idea , with an air bag like this, But sadly i am sure you Never Need a second co2 Kanister, if its blown, the Struktur will be unable to blow out a second Time. Saves your Health by destroy Itself , for Protection your Body and bones, some Part has to Hit the Road, better the bag 😍😎✌️🏴☠️😬. May never nessesary to use it in real. Our Season Starts normale in April, Bavaria Mountain, But Not so much Snow this jear , maybe earlyr, for the First Tour.
There’s two airbags in front that I think are more interesting 😁
Spend the extra for auto, my life jacket is auto and it works, three times now.
Perhaps you could look at doing some advanced riding

Check with them that you will get everything. We still don't have the user manual, although the Allen key did finally arrive. It's a great product, but I'm not sure the company or their management is so good.

buy a full dresser harley ultraclassic, no backpack🎒 needed. all the storage and legroom needed for 500 mile days.
But we have corners and rain in England, 2 of the many things Harleys can't cope with.
