As announced by the Regional Governor Nikos Hardalias in his post on the eve of the anniversary, that is on Sunday March 24, 2024 at 9 pm the sky will be lit up in a different way honoring in an impressive way the Greeks who sacrificed themselves for the homeland.

On Sunday evening, a few minutes after 21:00, those of you who find yourself in the center of Athens, look up! We light up the Athenian sky!
In an impressive way, we highlight and honor the Greeks who fought with courage and self-sacrifice, writing stories of heroism and self-sacrifice.
Nothing was given to us!
Greece became a Free State, spreading the message of the Struggle for National Independence throughout the World with the moving slogan "For Faith and Fatherland".
With the symbols of the revolution of 1821 and the colors of the Greek flag, the Attic sky was lit up on Sunday night, the eve of March 25.
250 Drones created shapes in the sky with symbols of the 1821 revolution, giving Athenians a unique opportunity to enjoy 3D images.
It is also recalled that the region of Attica had invited the citizens to look up on the eve of March 25, to be able to see this unique spectacle.
