- Update: This bug may have been solved. The video was put out right when Update 10 came out. The old town block would break the server if placed. Please reference the ECO discord for current info or troubleshooting on this.
If you're a veteran player you may be running into some challenges with land claims, deeds and your starting land plots.

Thanks for the simple explanation on how to start a settlement. I hope there will be more videos of the kind in the future because I have a few questions on the subject. Is it possible to create districts in the town for roads and such? Is it possible to create new government plots separate from the original one to build other things belonging to the town, like a library or a museum, or do they all have to be adjacent to each other? Can towns have stores to buy materials? How can the town help support farmers that need more claims in far away lands? Will the owner of those lands be able to still be part of town?
So many fantastic questions! I'll post an updated video on the town dynamics. It seems like there's a lot you can do with it but also it's very complex. Basically you can make laws, laws change land use, districts guide people to use land a certain way but unless connected to a law it's not enforceable.
Hello, did you manage to figure out what was happening with your elections not showing up on the page? Update 11 pooped out and now our elections are not showing up for some reason even though they was before. your vids have been awsome for explaining the need to knows but this one is eluding me.
That's a really great question, I haven't gotten into Update 11 yet but I think it was on the server hosting side.
Hi there! Thanks for the video. First week into my first playthrough and loving the game. Currently our servers settlement requires 100% of plots to be within the catchment area, is this something that’s changed or something we’re doing wrong? Any info would be great.
This has probably changed. I'll go back in an check it out soon.
They need to simplify this and, no reason to make it do danged complicated IMO.
I have problem with setting up a town as well. Im placing town foundation and it dissapear xd It places claim, but i cant do anything with it...
it says that i have to advertisment to new people etering world but where do i write the advertisment?
Great question, I know it's in one of the town management tables. This is an area I'm not as experienced in, but I'll look into it.
Hi BossLady, I am trying to expand the influence area of the town and can’t figured it out. I read online that need a cultural room but am still starting and Dont know what could I use at low level tech to create that cultural room. Any recommendations?
Yes! I'll make a more detailed video but here's the text version. On your building deed there is a tab on the far right that has a drop down where you can select: residence, cultural or school. Once a building is made you can turn it over to cultural there. Then in the embassy desk you need to select the new cultural property.
Hi BossLady I am having the same issue in my server, I am trying to settle the first Town and met all conditions but when we go to Vote, the website shows no Running Election, it is gray out. Do you think is a current bug? any work arounds?
We were able to get it working. I believe what we ended up doing was picking it back up, removing the plots and then put them down again. However I can't be sure that's what fixed it. Our server host may have done something on the back end I'll ask.
We had the same issue, but it worked for us when we went in through the voting/ballet box in the ui that shows up In the top right. The physical ballet box didn't work for voting, but worked for everything else. We could only vote using that littl3.ballet icon thing.
