With ECO Game version 10 (v10) homestead land claims make securing remote mine sites almost out of the question. But I show you a way to keep your resources safe in ECO 10 with a method that's super fast and easy. I show you step by step how to make a mine in ECO that might be the best mining method in ECO given ECO version 10 and the new ECO gameplay. The ECO game has changed a lot in version 10 (Eco v10), so there will be a lot of coverage to come. Also participate in this months ECO GiveAway (give away).

another way to hide the mine is simply to put your homestead over it... grow some cactus fruit and make it look like your a farmer... my last server i tried to mine gold, so i built my homestead over the site and planted taro, pineapple, and papaya...also, may be just my luck, but most iron i find is STILL 20 blocks down... this is out of range of the ore drill... and out of range of stockpile transfers, unless you place more than one stockpile as you dig.... another thing i've seen ignored often for ALL the ore types is natural spawned crushed... i've had several worlds where i dig up enough crushed to fill a 5x5x5 stockpile before i find/dig down to an ore vein.. one of those worlds was an update 10 world... never ignore the crushed ores though, it's basically free money on multi-player servers as no calories are needed to crush them.... in fact many of the crushed rocks are worth the effort to dig.. granite and sandstone can be rocker'ed into sand for the masons and glassblowers, limestone for concrete and quicklime for smelters.... and everything else to the road makers.... also, when hiding the mine, i'm pretty sure you can leave the ladders except for last layer, it counts as a full block so the ladder "should" hold the dirt..

Even on our current Test run, a Town person has hidden several framed pictures all around the world as a contest with a prize of that Town's currency for the finders - fun stuff always happening even though we're just testing!

That is a very secret mine indeed. I wonder what else an entrance like that could be used for, although I would imagine that a complicated entrance like this would quickly get annoying if you had to use it all the time. Great video though!

Yes! Having the player icon on the screen is a problem. But hopefully if you get in, get your ore, and get out, if someone goes there to see what all the activity was about afterwards...they'd find nothing...hopefully! You could always be discovered mid-mining though - there's always that risk. Appreciate the comment!
