this old man of 43 yrs is being taken back to being 20/21, where my best friend, who remained as such through his passing last year, introduced me to this gem .. I had played and moved on from Squaresoft RPGs as a whole by then but this game (as well as FF VII etc) took me to a whole new realm of escapism..this begs the completely unrelated question of why there are all these onion factories being built around my house all of a sudden!?
I just think its called compassion. A fundamental human emotion we too often try to ignore. I'm not trying to be condescending. This is also one one my failings.
This was earlier this year. I came down with the flu, developed a very high temperature during the night and had a high fever, tangling restlessly in my sheets. For several hours I could not sleep and I felt very bad. Then I turned on this video on my phone, turned the volume down and this video worked like a wonderful lullaby, I was able to fall asleep and felt much better in the morning. Thank you.
So many years later, I still come back to this masterpiece of a soudtrack and find it still being performed in different forms and arrangements . It feel like home everytime

All I can say is, thank you Kara. I cried toward the end. That last two songs were really beautiful. This was a journey and a great experience as I sit down to listen to the whole medley. My parents was reaching old age and the feeling of finally freeing Schala from the final boss with the motif that connect the last two songs together remind me that some day I have to release them into the next part of their journey and I cried like a baby. The soundtrack of this game has the melody and sound that I can only describe as free-spirited, lost and nostalgic. I'm not even sure if it was intrinsic or if I was just reminded of when I played this game. You were especially amazing on those soft breeze melodies. Thank you for putting in all the works for us to enjoy.
I cried at the end too, at the premiere! hahaha maybe just being so emotional after such a huge accomplishment. But the music is truly incredible. That is a sweet thought about your parents, I am sure many of us have those thoughts sometimes. I'm so glad you were able to enjoy the music

I second that emotion.!.! From one musician to another, you were awesome. I really liked how you used the I-pad for your sheet music and how you could turn the page with just pressing the screen. That way you don’t have as much clutter on the piano and it’s fast and easy. Cuz having to turn pages when your trying to play is annoying as hell.
It's definitely worth playing. It's a huge game and has too many characters, but the gameplay is fun, absolutely beautiful graphics work, very bright and colorful. The characters and story are interesting, and it's worth it alone just to familiarize yourself with the music. It's so nice to have a whole new way to enjoy these amazing game scores I grew up with. Chrono Trigger is up next. A classic among classics.
Chrono Cross is one of Mitsuda's greatest compositions next to Xenogears and you did an absolutely outstanding job playing the entire three-CD soundtrack. Incredibly superb piano work.

So many memories... Times with friends, family and loved ones all come flooding back. This was an incredibly easy performance to line oneself in, simply close your eyes and you can feel the loss of the sea, rustling of the trees and grass, and that sense of adventure. I know you worked hard on this and I cannot put to words how important it is to me, personally, that you did. The first time I ever played this game was right before my grandfather passed away. I pre-ordered this game when it originally came out because I was a huge fan of Chrono Trigger. As a bonus I received a CD of music which I still have. The game was great, but the soundtrack was what really stuck with me all these years. Over the last two years with everything going on, I’ve listened to it more than any other soundtrack. My mum bought it for me when we were on vacation, and I played it to death when we got back home. Still, hands down, one of the best games Square ever released, and one of the absolute greatest soundtracks in gaming history... in my opinion, of course🙂 I never get tired of any of these songs, and I don't think I ever will😌
I just finished Chrono Cross for the first time with the remaster, and I'm somehow extremely nostalgic for the music already. Mitsuda composed a masterpiece with this score, and you've done an amazing job with this unofficial piano collection! This is going into my working from home playlist. Amazing.
This music inspired so many beautiful dreams in my teenage years... and woke up my ears to a kind of music i had never encountered before in the small 15x15 blocks rural town i grew up in. This is a remastered version of the original. It's a bit like the remastered versions of Final Fantasy 8 and 9, where they've mostly cleaned up the textures, in-game characters and text.
Chrono Cross is my all-time favorite game, and I've been enjoying the sountrack my whole life. When I played piano as a kid I tried to transpose some of the songs, but I was never very good. Thank you for making this! This video is my new favorite on CZcams

this old man of 43 yrs is being taken back to being 20/21, where my best friend, who remained as such through his passing last year, introduced me to this gem .. I had played and moved on from Squaresoft RPGs as a whole by then but this game (as well as FF VII etc) took me to a whole new realm of escapism..this begs the completely unrelated question of why there are all these onion factories being built around my house all of a sudden!?

This was earlier this year. I came down with the flu, developed a very high temperature during the night and had a high fever, tangling restlessly in my sheets. For several hours I could not sleep and I felt very bad. Then I turned on this video on my phone, turned the volume down and this video worked like a wonderful lullaby, I was able to fall asleep and felt much better in the morning. Thank you.

All I can say is, thank you Kara. I cried toward the end. That last two songs were really beautiful. This was a journey and a great experience as I sit down to listen to the whole medley.
My parents was reaching old age and the feeling of finally freeing Schala from the final boss with the motif that connect the last two songs together remind me that some day I have to release them into the next part of their journey and I cried like a baby.
The soundtrack of this game has the melody and sound that I can only describe as free-spirited, lost and nostalgic. I'm not even sure if it was intrinsic or if I was just reminded of when I played this game. You were especially amazing on those soft breeze melodies. Thank you for putting in all the works for us to enjoy.
I cried at the end too, at the premiere! hahaha maybe just being so emotional after such a huge accomplishment. But the music is truly incredible. That is a sweet thought about your parents, I am sure many of us have those thoughts sometimes. I'm so glad you were able to enjoy the music

I second that emotion.!.! From one musician to another, you were awesome. I really liked how you used the I-pad for your sheet music and how you could turn the page with just pressing the screen. That way you don’t have as much clutter on the piano and it’s fast and easy. Cuz having to turn pages when your trying to play is annoying as hell.
Jason, the only bad thing about the iPad is you have twice as many page turns 😂
It's definitely worth playing. It's a huge game and has too many characters, but the gameplay is fun, absolutely beautiful graphics work, very bright and colorful. The characters and story are interesting, and it's worth it alone just to familiarize yourself with the music. It's so nice to have a whole new way to enjoy these amazing game scores I grew up with. Chrono Trigger is up next. A classic among classics.
Go play it now. It doesn't disappoint.
Chrono Cross is one of Mitsuda's greatest compositions next to Xenogears and you did an absolutely outstanding job playing the entire three-CD soundtrack. Incredibly superb piano work.

So many memories...
Times with friends, family and loved ones all come flooding back. This was an incredibly easy performance to line oneself in, simply close your eyes and you can feel the loss of the sea, rustling of the trees and grass, and that sense of adventure. Knowing everything is going to be alright.

The game was great, but the soundtrack was what really stuck with me all these years. Over the last two years with everything going on, I’ve listened to it more than any other soundtrack. I was 15 when Chrono Cross came out. My mum bought it for me when we were on vacation, and I played it to death when we got back home. Still, hands down, one of the best games Square ever released, and one of the absolute greatest soundtracks in gaming history... in my opinion, of course🙂 I never get tired of any of these songs, and I don't think I ever will😌
I just finished Chrono Cross for the first time with the remaster, and I'm somehow extremely nostalgic for the music already. Mitsuda composed a masterpiece with this score, and you've done an amazing job with this unofficial piano collection!

CHRONO CROSS: THE RADICAL DREAMERS EDITION
This is a remastered version of the original. It's a bit like the remastered versions of Final Fantasy 8 and 9, where they've mostly cleaned up the textures, in-game characters and text.
