This country standard was a huge 1966 hit (CMA ‘Song of the Year’ & ‘Single of the Year’) for Jack Greene: • Jack Greene - There Go... ; and Engelbert Humperdinck’s 1967 version • Engelbert Humperdinck ... had the greatest success on the ‘pop’ charts. Note that unlike the commonly-heard versions, this first recording by Ferlin Husky was not performed in 3/4 waltz time.
