Mahi Khaliya || Hyderabadi Mahi Khaliya || Tasty Authentic Mutton Recipe || Simple & Easy - Try it

  • Mahi Khaliya is an authentic Hyderabadi mutton recipe with its savory taste it is famous among the people of Hyderabad.Blended with various spices and a dash of tangy flavour makes it more yummy.

    INGREDIENTS
    ===========
    1.Required for grinding
    ------------------------------------
    Dry roasted coconut - 50 gram
    Dry roasted peanuts - 50 gram
    Dry roasted sesame seeds - 20 gram
    Roasted Cumin seeds - 2 teaspoon
    Roasted coriander seeds - 2 teaspoon
    Roasted Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
    Roasted black seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
    Roasted onions - 2 small
    GRIND THE ABOVE INGREDIENTS INTO A FINE PASTE
    2.In a pan add oil - 4 tablespoon
    3.To it add cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon and fry
    4.Then add ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon (fry till raw smell disappears)
    5.Then add turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon and fry
    6.Now add boneless pieces of 1/2 kg mutton and fry for 5 minutes.
    7.Then cook till mutton is semi tender, add 1 teaspoon salt and fry.
    8.Add the ground paste and cook for 15 minutes.
    9.After 15 minutes add red chilli powder - 3 teaspoon and mix well.
    10.Add tamarind water - 2 cups and cook till raw smell disappears.
    11.Add two glasses of water then add coriander leaves,green chillies - 5, curry leaves-few, and salt.
    12.Cook for 20 minutes under low flame with lid closed on it.
    13.Tasty Mahi Khaliya is ready.
