Ive been looking for this escape all my life.
I know exactly what you mean. I almost felt like there was no Escape for this move, but the truth is there is always a way out of something in Jiu-Jitsu
Same here
Your not alone
This guys a genius. I don't even grapple.
Got scissor choked 3x in the last 10d from the same guy while defending this kimura. This is priceless. Will try tonight
Awesome man thank you! I have some kimura hunters at my gym, and usually just hold on to my pants or theirs for dear life! Lol
This is why I pin the other arm with my shin.
I’ve been looking for a good escape for this for a long time! Thanks for opening up the art a little further for me!
Btw: For these fast moves, you could slo-mo the video...and then add your voice instructions later. Just a thought.
Found it. A few colored belts can't catch me with chokes most of the time but Im always caught by kimuras. This is gold
Did it work out for you
His awareness in nuts. He knew what kind of grip he had without being able to see it
Best move ever. Works for me everytime. Many thanks
Best kimura defense in this position on CZcams.
haha... gino goes for slick arm bar move immediately
Thank you coach, you really have teached us grappling, and even more.
The whole time watching I was thinking, "what's the flow-through, counter"? Then, BOOM... 9:12-9:38
Great move. Great channel 👍🏻❤
this is my exact escape. has always worked for me, i haven't been tapped from here for years. i didnt know that grip with his free hand or the way coach prevents the elbow to the ribs though. always so many details and always addressing those issues that come up. so good.
Details make the difference! Strong coach👏🏽
Freaking amazing … I’ve been looking for this for ages
Coach, you're a great teacher the way you slow down and slowly move through the technique like that. Most instructors just want to talk at you telling how to do the move then expect you to just do it over and over again rarely taking note of what's going on.
Good job Gino. And thanks Coach for another great video.
Wow, this move it's so cool coach Adam Sandler 👌🏽

I can't wait to try this escape out.
I ALWAYS get caught in it by my teammates when rolling.
Geno pulled the trigger hard trying to get that arm bar haha.
Epic escape.
I havnt trained for ages and plan to start up again in a month. I'm going to have beat down put on me so I will need this.
Saw this escape once and executed it 2 times, other guys looked confused how I got out. Great breakdown and details.
6:56 when my instructor gets me in a NS kimura, way he showed it is to have back side knee off the mat and into the shoulder blade like a kick stand. I think this escape would work on most people. That simple sitting on the head isn’t a good enough clamp on the torso. But I’m definitely going to try this with that thumb pad grip 🤙
Thanks Coach Brian!
At first I was like damn Adam Sandler grapples now? Very slick move coach Brian! Subscribed.
Awesome
Gino. Great job demonstrating! Exactly the kinds of mistakes I would make too and then you fixed them. Good progression.
Good stuff
I wish I could give you two thumbs up! Long time viewer. Beautiful content as always. You should do a series in the gi. I would love to see your take on judo stuff. Many thanks!
Many thanks, sir!
I've learnt so much from this channel and Brian its been life changing. Thank you Coach !!
Brilliant! Absolutely Brilliant!
I learn more and more! I know the escape and the armbar counter but you explain a lot of details !! Thanks from France !! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🇫🇷
I like the way you teach, and you got really good tools to defend ourself so thanks to you guys!!
Transition to arm bar,...superb
Ohhhhh. I see a detail! Thank you
Finally one of the best the best escapes
to stop the kimura escape from north south if figure fouring the left or right arm lets say the left place your rright leg over the left knee trap it pull it towards there face with your right leg putting him belly down this wiil put more presure on the left shoulder as he is belly down your right knee placed tightly to the left side off the head tighten it all up it will kill the escape as your opponent is forced to go belly down this will apply more pressure to the shoulder to finish the lock quicker it is very important not to let the opponent head escape from your left knee .
2010 the master c shutdown...
Coach Brian Peterson is number ONE
you are the bestest coach brian
THANKS!
6:-7:30 is the meat and potatoes of it
Thank you
This is great.
This one worked against a blue belt fellow, big guy. Not a complete move, but just holding on to it for a period of time he just gave up his kimura grip before I finished the escape. I’ll keep practicing this.
Brilliant as always. Thank you coach.
damn you're good man u know all the defenses, it'madness
shout out from france 👍
RESPECT.
Fuck that's a good escape!
that's awesome
Lol. Can’t stop laughing when he kept driving his elbow to your ribs and you’re just “ughhhh” 😀😂😂😂
Awesome!!!
Very nice!

The suuuper coach of all times
this is a very good one.
This escape made me look good surviving rolling with a black belt. And I'm a whitebelt
New tool to my top escape album lol
Love your videos boss 🙏🏻
I like it.
2019/9/27~
Thanks for watch CZcams
Outstanding. There's always a counter to a counter. And then a counter to that!! But these breakdowns are sweet, realistic and without the BS ego I detest in BJJ politics. Thank you.
Great vid
Wow dude! Love it ty
Nice content. Thank you.
Ha... You cant seperates!... Seconds later...seperates for a second then goes back to the kimura lol love thr video and im for sure try this out
Thanks for the videos. Always helpful. As an aside: If you could condense the videos they would be even more helpful.
Bad ass escape into an arm bar... No one will expect that
good stuff
"where's your kimura?" Coach Brian asks like he's doing a magic trick and has made a card vanish haha
Slick!
Beautiful escape. Thank you.
Love it... All
Sooo excellent! Thanks coach!
Where has this video been all my life
Wow this was needed, I really loved this! Thank you so much!
this si so smart
Good escape
Thank you coach , God bless you , oss
Thanks for the great content. Thanks a lot.
Yes, don't grab your arm, grab his. I've been doing that for years, it's very confusing for the other person. That's why the attacker needs to be able to switch from kimura to armbar smoothly. Most people, even blackbelts, actually suck at using the kimura.
Thank you!
Dope
Great video. Thank you.
Content level ulta super useful!
I am Coming To kimura you coach Brian
This awesome! Thank you!
nice
I like dis
3:49 grab the wrist that’s grabbing the forearm
