Amazing aquascape! Something else from what we usualy see in all the reeftanks. I guess you just created a new trend😉. Looking forword to see it full with corals and fishes👌
I learn so much from every video you make. I will be adding rock to my fowlr tank tomorrow and this video came in at the perfect time. Keep up the amazing work.
As a mechanical engineer, and an obsessively neat designer....I can truly appreciate how nice and important a neat and clean wiring job is. Awesome work!
I LOVE IT!!!!! Sooooooo... tired of seeing just piles of rocks stacked one on top of each other. Jake has created a new look Islands and walls. I LOVE IT !!!!
A great aquascape Jake. It doesn’t look hanky at all. Thought was put into it and especially being an Australian endemic system, the corals will look phenomenal in there. 👍
Shop kitty featurette! Thank you 😂 Not the most coral placement efficacy in terms of tank footprint but with your coral selection intentions, I can definitely see what you are planning for.
I remember back in the engineering fab lab I had this innovative project idea that was "crystal clear" in my mind. Spent 5-7 min explaining my super cool idea to the team and the professor, a ton of hand gestures with waving and cutting motions and spitting out degree angles. When I finally finished I swear I could hear a cricket chirping in the background, everyone looked at me like I had sprouted a 3rd eye on my forehead. The professor stepped in and advised me to comeback but start with a drawing so everyone can get a clearer understanding of the madness brewing in my head.
I have the same tank so I'm following your progression as you build your tank. I'm going to use an algae scrubber since there's no room for a refugium. What are you using in each of the media baskets? I live pretty close to you in Longmont, CO. Do you ever allow outsiders to come visit your facility? Thx!
nothing in the media baskets yet since the tank is just starting up, and probably won't be packing them full since I want higher nutrients in this tank.
When I saw the scape, I was thinking that you lost your mind. I do like the point that you made about rockscapes though. I’ve made some cool rock ledges; multilayered platforms and steps that look amazing the first year. However, after the frags became mini colonies; I had to deal with flow issues. I’m looking forward to future videos 👍
I’m going to be honest I wasn’t sure where u were going with this scape 😂 but I do understand now the aim you’re looking for and with that in mind it should look awesome.
Probably, get some heat but I have always loved a rock - coral wall. Personal taste, if it's done well. Dived on a few, prefer it to some of the newer more modern look reefs, I have pumps running behind mine too, to prevent detritus build up. Any chance you can put some nice gorgonians on it, to catch the flow??
I love it!!! I have a question to reef builder family I have a reef tank with coral and I need to get out a Japanese damsel.. he kills any fish I add in the tank how do I get him out please help
You can try a fish trap, DIY or bought. If that doesn't work, good old fashioned net does the job. I just recently had to catch two fish that wouldn't fall for traps. Took some time, but now they are gone. The other fish and clams can relax now.
I loved your idea for the angled piece of acrylic as a back wall! Let's see if any tank manufactures would consider doing that with the tank itself in the future. Excellent work as always Jake!
You said you’d think it looks stupid if you saw someone else do it and you had to rate it but somehow I think it’s really cool already as is I’ve never seen someone scape like this super cool I’m excited to see it finished
can this wave pump position work with sand bottom or it would blow all sand from back? This is great idea to hide pumps and also break strong flow for corals that don't like strong flow :D
It now looks very ugly, however, I am very excited to see how the aquascape turns out to after corals cover all the odd looking rocks. :) Always creative works. Fun to watch your videos!!
It would just be cool to see you experiment with different techniques. I love your channel but it seems as if most of your tanks are just more of the same, shake it up a bit to add some variety!
I previously used colored tubing but it was distractingly fluorescent, and I couldn't really inside. With clear tubing and colored additives, I get the best of both worlds.
@@ReefBuildersVideo I use 100% clear silicone tubing, very flexible and transparent, easy to see air bubbles etc, but colored water would definitely be better, might have to try it, now that’s another vid for you for sure!
I love your videos for the information and passion you provide for the hobby! It’s goddamn creative aquascape you did there! But, I really have to try hard to not get annoyed at the way you speak. Your breathing is really off putting and not enjoyable to listen to. Because you are inhaling through your mouth and do it in a gasping manner, it is way to apparent.
Your passion for the marine hobby is just great.
It's great to get caught up in your excitement!! Can't wait to see how this baby turns out!! Cheers :)
Amazing aquascape! Something else from what we usualy see in all the reeftanks. I guess you just created a new trend😉. Looking forword to see it full with corals and fishes👌
Creativity doesn't need to play by rules.
excited to see it stocked!

It's so excited to see your updated video during the boring pandemic period.

I am so excited for this project! Cant wait for the next video!

I always like the aquascaping routes you take Jake they are interesting and inspiring, keep going with the interesting ideas :).
Can't wait to see it filled! Bravo!
I wish you well with your plan that is in your head coming out in to reality as it should look amazing best wishes from the UK .
Great video brother best way to keep it natural and different perspective on reef aquascape 🙏🏽
I really like the scape. Simplistic and creates a lot of depth.
im pumped
That scape gave me a lot of ideas to maximize space. Thanks Jake!
Excellent content!!!!
RIP Jake Adams ❤️
Great tank for Mollies!
I'm really interested in how this is going to turn out as this is very unique. Good luck.
cant wait to see how this tank turns out what a great idea
Shop kitty featurette! Thank you 😂 Not the most coral placement efficacy in terms of tank footprint but with your coral selection intentions, I can definitely see what you are planning for.
Can't wait to see how your picturing the final look.
Pro tip: drape towels or blankets over the edges of the tank to prevent chipping the glass when you keep taking rock in and out.
Great idea!
Love the CADE tank, next tank for sure
Merci superbe vidéo super idée cette Aquascape est juste Magnifique 😍 👍😘
Nice set up, simplistic, neat and tidy set up. Enjoy your viewings jake 🐠🐠🐠

Can’t wait to hear about your review and opinion of the E-coral products.
Definitely need a follow-up video to see when corals are grown out. That aquascape needs to be justified mister 😂

is the dye safe for the tank?
Yes of course, I've been using it for years, and many aquarium foods & additives have used artificial colors for decades.
When I saw the scape, I was thinking that you lost your mind. I do like the point that you made about rockscapes though.
I’ve made some cool rock ledges; multilayered platforms and steps that look amazing the first year. However, after the frags became mini colonies; I had to deal with flow issues.

The tank is looking good
I’m sure it’s gonna turn out awesome
Rule of thirds 🤣 Think you’re over thinking it. Can’t wait to see it all COVERED in coral.😜
Personally love the scape. Great series Jake.
That will look good when finished.

I'll see what I can do, and certainly the wall dives are some of the most interesting and unique.
Yeah brother !!!
Hi Jake. Off topic but any recommendations on where to place the nero3 in a waterbox peninsula mini 25 ? Thx
Tank is so small, you could literally place it anywhere, i recommend out of sight.
Parrrrticular
Love it

Definitely do some research on aquarium fish traps, it's incredible how easy it can be to catch fish with a trap

I love it
How do you like the white starboard bottom?
I love that it reduces reflection, might have preferred it to be dark, but it's really subjective.
Where can I get this MaxSpect epoxy/glue stuff?
What is the name of this tank? Just awesome
CADE Pro Reef S2 900
Great 👍🏽
You said you’d think it looks stupid if you saw someone else do it and you had to rate it but somehow I think it’s really cool already as is I’ve never seen someone scape like this super cool I’m excited to see it finished
Actually I am imagining the wall full of coral and is an excellent innovative idea, it´s gonna be a total success I am sure.
One thing I like about this man is he likes captive bred fish not a lot of CZcamsrs do that or like it as much as hem
Which is good epoxy or silicon or resin based glu
reefbuilders.com/2020/10/28/maxspect-coral-putty-is-everything-that-epoxy-should-be/
Which tank its that?
why didn't you try to glue them with superglue? Otherwise the aquascape makes perfect sense for your idea. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Rock is porous. Super glue is also brittle
can this wave pump position work with sand bottom or it would blow all sand from back? This is great idea to hide pumps and also break strong flow for corals that don't like strong flow :D
flow that is suitable for corals is rarely amenable to keeping pet sand beds in place
Nice brother
Fol back

it looks a lot better since I filled it up with water yesterday, let's see how it turns out after the corals are added
Hello what glue you use that marks.. Thank you

@@ReefBuildersVideo Thank you
Why no sand or are you adding it later?
In my book sand is purely ornamental and I've been barebottom for decades, almost never use it.
@@ReefBuildersVideo Ah okay, I did not know that. Well, it looks good anyway and I am sure with the corals and other things it will look AMAZING. 👍🏼
Its 1am and i was about to go to sleep, but i guess i cant now.
Ola.. Vou mandar para você a Calvetti Rocks, para fazer um review 👊🏻👊🏻🔥🔥
A longer intro than normal, but I could still go for another minute or so!

Looks cool man and gives me an idea for my next project, not sure why u got 10 dislikes
You should set up a reef with sand to see if your assertions of sand vs no sand ring true.
and one with aquaculture live rock like Tampa Bay saltwater
It would just be cool to see you experiment with different techniques. I love your channel but it seems as if most of your tanks are just more of the same, shake it up a bit to add some variety!
That is a deep tank You are tall and people probably didn't realize it. Rock work looks better than I thought.
What if you drilled a hole in the conduit and threaded the cables thru it?!?! would look clean!
I considered that too, but I like to test a lot of equipment and need the flexibility to move this and other future lights around
@@ReefBuildersVideo I figured. Would be a bitch to keep threading it in and out
Love u men
you growing san pedros back there? lmao
No, I don't have any cacti, mostly Aroids.
How many pounds of Marco did you get???
As an Australian we do not claim this design. USA, you can keep him.
LMAO, good one
Awesome 👍
Most people use different colored tubing for dosing equipment, not sure if different colored water is stupid or genius??
I previously used colored tubing but it was distractingly fluorescent, and I couldn't really inside. With clear tubing and colored additives, I get the best of both worlds.

the food color won't make the tank look funny?
Is this the wall Trump promised us?
Wtf?

go cut your hair again :D
That design is terrible. Sorry.
lol, I knew someone would give it to me straight.
@@ReefBuildersVideo you're welcome :)
